Sleep-overs

We had Karina's friend Bella spend the night recently. (...and then the next night, Nick has a friend spend the night, as well!) The girls made cupcakes all on their own...
...and got a bit creative with the frosting!

Michael's new job

Michael recently changed jobs, but he still works in the City. The kids and I decided to pay him a little visit and have lunch with him. Here is a picture of Karina on BART, on the way there!
This is Michael's building...
...and his office!

We had the best lunch - a sushi burrito! Usually, the lines are too long at the place where you get these, but since the weather was rainy, there wasn't much of a line. YUM!

We ate in a nice area in the big office building next door.

We will visit again!

Random things!

Here is Amber at her grandparents' house, opening up a birthday present. How lucky - Karina was included in this gift, and they both got the "fancy dolls" that they have been wanting so badly!

Amber and her class went to the nursing home that they visit each year. Here they are with a lady named Rudy. They interviewed her and did a craft together. Every year the kids become more and more comfortable with the people at the nursing home...I am proud of them!

Marianne, Amber, Rudy, Megan and Gianna.

And here is the most random picture of all - snack time!

4:00 AM

That is the time we got up to go to the snow! We went to Dodgeridge, which is in the central Sierra's. Usually, we somewhere near Lake Tahoe, but Michael thought it would be fun to go somewhere different.
He was right! We made great time getting there, and it was a very nice place.

Rolling-pin donuts for breakfast - the only time I let myself eat donuts!

Karina going down a hill

And there goes Amber down a hill, too!

See that lodge at the bottom of the hill? That is where I stayed - I read, ate candy, and dozed off several times.

Karina and her new jacket.
We left about 3:00 PM, and went to Nation's in Tracy for hamburgers and pie - yum!

Amber's 10th B-day Slumber Party

Amber has been begging me to have a slumber party for the longest time. Finally, her birthday wish came true, and she had one on her 10th birthday. She invited her friends from her 4th grade class for a night of crazy, sleepless fun!

Daddy and his birthday girl (you may notice that Amber took this opportunity to wear 3 different nightgowns/pajamas as the evening wore on...what a surprise!)

Pizza for dinner

After a "fashion show", there was cake...
Thank goodness for Karina. She helped with the girls a lot!

Decorating bird houses...

Playing with the Wii...at 1:45 AM!

And of course, a pillow fight!

Don't these girls look tired?!?!

Happy Birthday, Amber!
