I feel violated! Well, not really...

This is what we found on our lawn the other day. Flamingos! 12 of them!

There is a local girls' soccer team that puts this on people's lawn - they are trying to raise money for a trip to Germany. They are sort of cute, though, so we will leave them up for a week...then we will pay the $10 to have them removed so that they can brighten up someone else's neighborhood...

Show Weekend

Last Saturday, we went to a Welsh Corgi dog show. Of course, we brought Rikku, who used to be a show dog herself.
Here is a Corgi getting all pretty so that she can walk in the ring.

Corgi puppies are the cutest!

This Corgi looks bored by the whole thing.

Rikku is saying hi to a couple of cute guys.

I'm not sure I like the look this other Corgi is giving Rikku. We better get out of here!

This old gal is sixteen years old.

More friends to say hi to.

I think this Corgi is gorgeous!
All those other Corgis may be pretty, but no one can compare to our sweet Rikku - We love her best!

Later on that night, Michael and I went to see our friend Bobby's band play. They are a Dokken cover-band - and since we love Dokken, we couldn't miss it.

Bobby and I

There were several other friends of our's there, since there were a few other bands playing.

Finally!

I have a post about Nick! It has been awhile since we did anything together, so I was happy when we were able to spend the day at Fisherman's Wharf. We have always wanted to check out the Wax Museum, so today was the day. When we first got there, we heard the theme to the "Titanic," and as we walked down the staircase, we saw this. The girls would have loved it, since Titanic is their favorite movie.

See the bars Nick is leaning on? We found out the hard way that
if you put your hands over them, a loud warning signal goes off. Yikes!

There were several themes at the museum, including a Presidents room.

There were also wax exhibits of past art work.

I liked this one of Norman Rockwell the best in the art section.

There was a section devoted to King Tut.

Our favorite section was the horror section. Some of the things here were pretty nasty, and not for little kids!

Don't worry Nick, they are only made of wax...

Each section had sound effects or music to go with it.

The last section showcased various celebrities. Some look better than others!

Time for lunch. One thing Nick and I have in common is we love a good meal at a nice place. We decided to try this place on the Wharf.
As we waited for our food to arrive, we took advantage of the binoculars that the restaurant had at each table.

Nick loves a good crab!
After lunch, it was time for a walk around.

Last time we went to the Wharf together, Nick was the same height as me. Must be all that good crab!

We ended up at Ghiradelli Square.

As we were walking back, we thought it would be fun to get our pictures done. It was funny watching people go by, watching us.
What do we think of the results?
Nick thinks he looks like Justin Bieber, and honestly, I hope I look a little better than this... But there is no denying that this is us!
