Stats on baby Ty at 4 months (he's now 4 1/2 months):
20 very heavy pounds and 11 ounces
17 3/4 inches

He's got a double dimple smile that's gonna knock the socks off the girls someday. He smiles almost all the time, even when he thinks nobody is looking.
That hasn't always been the case. He has a dairy and/or wheat allergy, just like Justin did. He's strictly breastfed so you know what that means. I haven't had dairy OR wheat for more than 3 months now and it has finally cleared my system and his. He is much happier now most of the time. Unfortunately he also has reflux. I know, double whammy. I don't know what I did to deserve 2 babies with reflux (Sadie was the other one) but I'm reeeeaaaaaaally sorry. It's pretty much a year long sentence of chronic spitting up. I joke that my new perfume of choice is Puke by Ty, but it's really not very funny. Luckily he has had some better days recently without so much puking but boy, some days are just out of control. He's also learned the art of screeching and we discovered after a very fussy long weekend of visiting family, he likes to be home sweet home. Everything was all better as soon as we walked in the door.
He's super soft and squishy and is arguably the best snuggle baby I've ever had the pleasure of cozying up with. Everywhere we go, everyone wants to squeeze his squishy little thunder thighs. He happily lapped up his first bowl of rice cereal. It was like he already knew how to deal with a spoon. None of that confused look I usually get from the babies when they first try it.
He has been sleeping through the night since about 7 weeks old. Does anything else really matter? ☺
Justin is still very much in love with his baby brother. His need for undivided attention has grown a little since Ty was born. When he's trying to get my attention, he has this low monotone voice that reminds us of a cell phone on vibrate mode. "Mo-om. Mo-om. Mo-om. Mo-om."
In addition to his very serious addiction to Tom and Jerry, his faves are driving his car or riding the skateboard up and down the street.
I'm a little worried about him being behind when he starts preschool (pathetic that we have to prep our kids for pre-k) because he has only a little interest in books and therefore his level of comprehension seems low (to me, but I'm comparing him to his older sibs who have been bookworms from the start, and I shouldn't because every child is different). He's certainly creative and enjoys learning new skills so I'm sure the love for books will come.

Audrey is Miss Tennis, Basketball and Gymnastics girl these days. When she's not doing any of that, she's playing with her friends or doing homework or reading something to test on at school to earn more Reading Counts points. She got her ears pierced and a set of scriptures for her birthday and is really proud of them both. She is LOVING Activity Day Girls at church twice a month. She's been looking forward to it for a long time and hasn't been disappointed. She loves her baby Ty, asked me yesterday if Ty can be a "Audrey's boy" at the same time he's a "Momma's boy."

Sadie seems to like middle school this year. She has lately come straight home to strap on her rollerblades and glide through the streets with the wind in her hair. She recently did her science project on what lightens hair faster - lemon juice or Sun In. Sun In was the winner by far, in case you want to highlight your hair. She is very dedicated to her schoolwork and her obsession with Harry Potter. She saw the new movie twice in 3 days. She moans all the time that she will never enjoy reading a series ever again because nothing compares to HP. She just started the 39 Clues for fun and seems to like them, but they're still not Harry.
Jackson stays busy with homework, tennis, scouts and basketball. He does a great job at being the oldest child. A great kid all around. He needs someone to teach him how to match his clothes but still a great kid. ☺ He did a science fair project to find out which lowfat ice cream tastes the best and also had his taste testers try to pick which was low fat and which was regular full fat ice cream. I think Breyers won the best low fat, for the record.
I was surprised (and thankful) that such easy science project proposals were accepted. They have enough homework every night and weekend (don't get me started on that) so it was really nice.
Okay, I'm all caught up now. Mothering these children is everything I thought it would be. Exhausting, rewarding, scary, wonderful and I wouldn't change a thing........Except the reflux. I would change that for sure. ☺
