Rest of Phillie

The rest of the Phillie pictures - and the amazing moments that accompanied them.

...Jackson's cheesy grins... it's Jackson Washington!

Sitting on a cannon at George Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge

playing a giant game of sorry, bingo, scrabble, checkers, and chess all at once!

touring the oldest mint in the usa, still working today!

eating yummy sandwiches at reading terminal market

(Paige took this pic while Ben was in line getting their food. We loved the guy who saw Paige watching us eat and felt bad for her so gave her half of his phillie cheesesteak, "were you wanting to eat today too?" )

being scared by the rain clouds above the stadium but not getting rained on at all during the game!

Climbing a ridiculous amount of stairs to get to our seats in section 308 while the boys hung out in section 108 for the first few innings.

Jackson's ability to fall asleep in my arms and then stay asleep while being transferred into his stroller aka cave

Paige could have sworn she saw Julie Beck as we were walking into church on Sunday, it was confirmed when we saw this.

Philadelphia - the city of brotherly love ... and Rocky and George Washington and Benjamin Franklin and the liberty bell and the Phillie's and lots of other highly entertaining entertainment!

we had a fun weekend hanging out with Paige and Ben in Pennsylvania! I could make this a very long blog post about everything we did and saw, but i think I'm just going to post these pictures which basically explain everything anyways... Can I tell you what a difference it made to have Paige there to help in getting pictures taken! Here are a lot of great pictures of Friday & Saturday in Phillie!

starting with the famous rocky steps that jackson decided to attempt...

we drove out to valley forge on a rainy morning

independence hall, where the declaration of independence was signed

a spring festival where we won free qdoba and the prized balloon for jackson

jackson had so much fun at his first ball game of the season

Days

We loved having Brook & Kyle Day stay with us this weekend! They decided to spend a few days at DisneyWorld before they left on their cruise so we were lucky enough to have them stay with us! It was fun showing them around our neck of the woods. And by the end of the trip Jackson couldn't get enough of Brook.

He is actually looking at me and smiling in this picture, do you realize how rare that is?? He really loved having visitors in town and was so happy with them all week!

We all went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom on Thursday, and they went to Hollywood Studios on Friday. Tyler got home Friday evening and we took them around Windermere and went out to dinner at one of our fav local eateries - Yellow Dog Eats. That night Tyler stayed home with Jackson and I took them back over to Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks show.

I took lots of pictures with their camera on the first 2 days, but I only got pictures on my camera on Saturday at Animal Kingdom when Tyler was able to join the party!

Other than the humid heat, it was a perfect weekend at Disney -it was not too crowded and we had great luck getting on the rides and shows we wanted to.

Probably the high(low)light of the weekend happened in our neighborhood Friday night. We were walking around by the clubhouse and tennis court when we saw some guys throwing rocks into the lake. Well they were throwing rocks because they had spotted a 6 foot ALLIGATOR in the lake right behind our house! I had just been telling them how I've never seen one in a lake here, so it's not really something I worry about. Well that sure changed that - I had nightmares last night about the alligator ended up in our swimming pool and then was chasing me and jackson. Awesome. But hey it made for a good memory? Other than the fact that I now go to sleep at night knowing that there could very well be a gator in my backyard...

But it was so good to spend time with Brook and Kyle and now I am so jealous of them as they are cruising the the Caribbean!!

Last Weekend...

So last weekend was quite eventful, no? Between the royal wedding and the Osama Bin Laden capture it was a big one for the news. I thought it was funny when my cousin casually asked on facebook, "Anything interesting happen this weekend?" I responded that "The evil villain dies and the prince and princess get married - just your typical Disney movie weekend..."

Well for the Jennings family it was even more exciting than a Disney movie because we also had Grandma and Grandpa Jennings come to visit us Jackson! We did go to Disneyworld one day, so I guess there were some Disney aspects involved, but it was mostly a big bonding weekend between Jackson and his Grandparents!

While they were only here for 4 days, I think they really got to make a lot of memories with Jackson. There was lots of good food, peek-a-boo games, block building, dancing, stroller rides, Disney adventures, swimming, and laughing going on between these guys. The only sad part was that Jackson got his first ear infection that weekend, but once we got him on the medicine he got right back to his normal self!

I am so mad at myself because I only took a few pictures on my camera!

I am so mad at myself because I only took so few pictures on my camera! But Grandma Jennings was filming J. constantly and took tons of little videos and pictures on her iPhone. She wanted to remember every little detail about her only Grandson. Here are a sampling of her photos and vids

He LOVED getting Grandpa!

He loved playing Peek-a-Boo with his blankets, you can kinda tell from this vid that J had all attention on him all day every day!

He was enthralled with the American Idol Experience Show and rocked out and clapped through the whole show!

He was so loved this weekend and is so lucky to have such amazing grandparents!
