August 29, 2010

The kids participated in the city's Fourth of July children's parade on the 3rd of July.
Landry rode his big wheel back and forth along the route.
He was not scared at all. He just rode and rode.
They all enjoyed decorating their bikes for the parade.
They thought it was fun to ride their bikes down the middle of a road they would not normally be able to ride on because it is typically busy.
After the children's parade was the Fourth of July parade. They caught a lot of candy.
It was a good start to our holiday weekend.
My nephew Evan was here visiting and it was nice to have him at the parade with us.
Later in the day, Tyler and the kids went to the celebration in the park.
Landry had been asking for a couple of months to have his birthday dinner at McDonald's play land. We had his celebration dinner the night before his birthday.
We finished the day by attending a concert and fireworks.

August 29, 2010

Fall soccer season has commenced. Landry has been counting down the days until soccer season starts since we signed him up in the spring. He is #5.
This is his first year playing on a team. He is so excited. The first day he received his uniform he did not want to take it off and insisted on sleeping in it.
He was upset with himself that he did not score a goal.
He was so cute!
Kolby's team tied their first game. He played great defense and Tyler coached well.
Addie's team lost their first game but played nicely. She did an impressive job on both offense and defense.
We spent from 7:45 am to 11:45 am at soccer games without a break. I was surprised at how much Kolby and Addie have improved. It was fun to watch all of the games. I am looking forward to the rest of the season.

School started last week. This is Addie and Kolby on their first day of school. Addie started wearing glasses this month and Kolby started wearing contacts.
Landry was excited for his first day of preschool.
On the way to the bus on the 2nd day of school. The first three days of school were a success! I hope our luck continues until next June.
