Landry would be mortified if he knew I posted this picture. He did not want to use a girl towel. I guess he was cold enough that he finally agreed to it. He is still not happy about it. Every time he sees the picture he comments about how he is in a girl towel. The boy/girl difference is huge to him right now.
We have had a fun summer. This is actually an adult birthday party. The kids reap the rewards of our adult celebrations. Several times we head out on an innocent little trip and end up taking the mini van places that the mini van should not go. I felt better about it in the old mini van. Last week, I felt a little sick about the places we took the new van.
You can always find amazing things in Southern Utah.
This is where we ended up. We were not sure if anything was even up that slick, rocky, dirt road.
It has been fun making trips to see our Grandmas and Grandpas. Landry could not wait to try out the pool by Grandma's house. It took less than five minutes before I determined a life jacket was in order for Landry. He was a maniac in the pool.
On a trip up North I was able to have lunch with these two great ladies. We were roommates at Utah State and I have not seen them in a very, very long time. It was a lot of fun but not near long enough. We also had a wonderful time getting together with some of Tyler's friends.
Addie and her cousin Brinlee were able to go and visit their cousins in Idaho. It was a fun girl trip!

We had a great time celebrating the Fourth of July and Landry and his best friends birthday. Jaci's Mom made these darling invitations to the party.
We ended the night watching the city fireworks. We were able to go across the street from our house to see them. It was a good show.
We combined our efforts with two of our friends and were able to put on quite the display for the children. It was impressive. There were a lot of fireworks!
Landry watched the fireworks intently. He had been waiting for this night for a long time.
About half of the original party went to watch the city fireworks somewhere else. These are the remaining party goers waiting for the neighborhood show to begin.
Landry loved all of the presents that he got at the party. Of course the bubble gum machine was a hit with all of the kids.
He was very excited to get a rocket just like Kolby's.
Enjoying every minute.
They each had their own cake. Both kids were very passionate about what cake they wanted at their party.
Don't they look like they are having a great time?
These two are so fun to watch when they are together.
Landry's cake. I don't think he quite knew what to do with himself when so many people were singing Happy Birthday to him.
We rented a big slide for all of the kids.
We definitely looked like we were having a party.
Lot's of food, fun and friends!
We have sure enjoyed this little guy the last three years. He is really something special!

Kolby and I had fun seeing, "The Comedy of Errors" at the Shakespeare Festival. Kolby thought the performance was very funny. The weather was perfect for an outdoor play.
The kids are trying to pass time waiting for the big Fourth of July BBQ. I gave them each a box of snaps to keep them occupied. Note to self - next year buy A LOT more snaps. Landry is so excited for fireworks and keeps asking to light them. His patience is gone. He has known for a long time that on his birthday there would be fireworks.
Landry wanted Pooh Bear toys for his birthday. He got his wish.
How can a three year old be SO EXCITED to get money?
Landry has been waiting and waiting for his birthday and it is finally here. The big party is later tonight.
The kids enjoyed a trip to the splash park.
We were in St. George for the day and it was hot!
Kolby was quite disturbed by the two boys from France splashing around in their European swimsuits. Actually, most of the kids at the park were caught quite off guard. I kept hearing parents explaining to their questioning children that it is normal to wear that type of swimsuit in other countries.
Landry kept telling me that is was hot. It's hot Mom. Mom, it's hot. It's too hot Mom.
