Spring has Sprung...I hope!

My brother's kids, Severin and Delphina, and my dad, Papa Buck, spent the night on Valentine's Day and the next day we ventured to the park. It was clear that spring is on its way! There was that flowery smell in the air, the sun was out, and flowers were blooming. Of course later in the day and all night it rained, so we shall see. I am so looking forward to it that I took and edited these pictures on the same day! Papa Buck and Severin on the way to the park Papa Buck and sweet Delphina
Halle pushing Heath (she is so good with the little kids, I hardly got to hold Delphina!)
Swings were a favorite!
Halle brought her friend Kelsey along
I love this one of Kyle actually cooperating for a picture!
They also loved the sand

A week in Paradise...

Andy and I took a little vacation to the Cayman Islands a week or so ago. Seems so far away now.....We have an interesting, scary little pattern to our vacations. One month before we went to Thailand to dive and vacation, a huge Tsunami hit killing 200,000+ people, we still went. This time, the huge earthquake devastating and killing, again, 2000,000+ people in Haiti happened just weeks before we went to THAT region. Also, the week before we went to Grand Cayman, a 5.8 earthquake shook that island, but no damage. The moral of this story is....don't go to where we plan to go before we go there!

So, we left the kids with Paige and Patrick (Andy's sister and her husband) at our house (Thanks a million you guys!) and away we went. It is always stressful to get things prepared to leave for a week and to leave the kiddos, but once we are at our destination, full relaxation sets in!

This is our view from our room at the Marriott on Grand Cayman...
One of our favorite activities was Stingray City. We swam with, fed and kissed stingrays. They are lovable creatures, I must say!
Just a guy with his board at sunset
A traffic sign I found interesting, meaning yield. We rented a car while there and drove to some different attractions. They drive on the left side there, new experience for Andy.
Pictures from the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens where they have 40 endangered blue iguanas running around and are breeding othersWe also visited the Turtle Farm where they are breeding lots of turtles to increase the populationI find cemetaries in different countries interesting, these being kind of above ground. After 3 nights on Grand Cayman, it was off to Little Cayman. On a small plane. Not my favorite mode of transportation.
This was the airport/post office/fire station. This island is LITTLE!

The view from my hammock. When Heath sees this picture he says "Gross feet!" We have always loved his feeet so I don't know why he says gross!
