In October we went to Disneyland. I figure that would be a good topic of my quarterly post. Seems hard to get around to when sharing on Facebook is so easy. So I of course took a lot of pictures and will try not to post too many. We had LOTS of fun. The plan was to start the trip with a visit to LegoLand on the day we arrived. 6:40 flight and 9:00 arrival left most of the day to play. We rented out minivan and headed south. We pulled onto the Road to LegoLand and the sign had a big CLOSED under it. Hmmm. That can’t be right, I said out loud. It’s Tuesday and I don’t remember seeing that in big bold writing on the website. The parking lot was relatively empty and the metal bars were covering the entrance. NOOOOOOOOOO! Heath called me a liar and said I ruined the trip. Kyle was bitter and vengeful and both of them spewed hate at Andy and I. This is fun….. Facebook was my friend and I polled people on the fun to be had at SeaWorld. So, long story less long, we went there instead and the kids stopped complaining (after I agreed Kyle could have a Coke Zero for lunch if he didn’t utter another word about LegoLand.)
SeaWorld:

The kids loved the shows and had a great day. Then back to Anaheim to stay 5 nights and visit Disneyland And CA Adventure.

This was Heath before Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. It freaked him out. He loved Space Mountain and Tower of Terror, but this one…..too wild! Funny

This was a little frightening. None of the kids wanted to participate in the Jedi Training this time.

Halle’s very favorite ride, Autotopia. She just loves to drive!

This one was mostly cool because of the pictures I got…

Heath insisted on some face painting and knew just what he wanted

Day one we walked about 10 miles according to Andy’s pedometer. Wow
Day two : California Adventure
Pluto signing Heath’s book. He loved all these characters!

Kyle wanted desperately to go to the Lego store. Here he is with Lego Hulk…

Boo’s door!!!!

Outside the Cars Land ride. The Radiator Springs Racers ride was amazing. The lines were long (Up to 135 minutes, maybe more) but we got on one of the last cars one night and only had to wait an hour. It was really cool.

And Day 3: back at Disneyland

We went back to the hotel mid day for a little rest because we had tickets to Mickey’s Halloween party that night. The kids dressed up a bit:

Heath’s moustache got a little smudged :)

And day 4 was back at CA Adventure:

Heath was the most excited to go on Grizzley River Run and did'n’t care if he got wet. His wish was granted. Soaked. He was so funny. Got drenched by a wave and in a funny boince said, “Yep, that one got me pretty good!” We laughed hysterically!

And the last day we only stayed for a few hours and it was HOT! It got into the 90s that day. The kids were so done and ready to go home. We had a blast though!

Pickle-loving kids:

We walked about 10 miles a day. Exhausting but fun.
