Hanging with family in Utah

We flew out to Utah for my mom's wedding! Since everyone else had cameras, I didn't take many of my own and now I'm regreting it. Until I can collect some pictures, this will have to do for now. These are the aunties: Rachel, Abish and Rebecca. Also cousins: Teo and Kalia. Check out the link to the right, to the Killpack's blog, to see video of Benjamin gettin' down at the wedding;)

Ben is eating burgers!

This may not sound impressive, but for those who know of Ben's aversion to ground beef, this is truelly astounding! Ben has NEVER eaten a burger in his life. Add to that: meatballs, meatloaf, meat sauce...And when I really think about ground beef, I don't blame him and I would never push it on him. But apparently he was given a cheeseburger at school on accident because Ben heard the word cheese and said yes. He came home telling me how he at half of it before he realized it was more than cheese. Wallah! And since then, he has eaten two more. He is very proud of the fact now and told Quintin, he doesn't know why he didn't try it earlier. This burger here, is a top quality burger from our favorite burger joint in D.C. called the Good Stuff Eatery. Throw in some fries with mango mayonaise dipping sauce and a milk shake and we're in hamburger heaven!

Birthday cake from Cakelove

This cake was so good: dark chocolate cake, white cake, buttercream with fresh rasberries, white cake, and more dark chocolate cake all covered in chocolate ganache. Divine.

I love this photo. Just look at how he has his arrows all tucked into a necklace over his shoulder!

Christmas 2008

Since we moved over Christmas (thanks to the mold) our tree was left behind. This wrapping paper tree was the substitute. It didn't matter though, because Christmas morning was magical as always! I love waking up to Ben's footsteps as he checks for presents quietly and then runs to us screaming with joy. For Christmas dinner, we went to our favorite Afghan restaurant. That restaurant has been really good to us! We spent Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years eating their delicious food. Thank goodness they're always open.
