Happy Ten Years to Steven and Sariah!

Our anniversary was April 27th, making it a whole 10 years of marriage!  I remember people telling me they were married 10 years and me thinking, wow, that is so old, I'm glad that's not me.  I have to say though, I'm glad it is me if even it does mean I'm older. Look what we have to show for our lives together and it keeps getting better.  This is a collage I made of the last 5 years.  It follows up the collage of the first 5 years of marriage.  So I wonder what the next one will look at year 15?!

What is cooking in Anna's kitchen?

McDonald's Happy Meal toys...today.

Mullet No More!

Mullet or not, I didn't think I would ever cut Anna's hair.  It took her so long to get any and I didn't dare cut off the curls.  Then one day, as we were passing a Hair Cuttery, my stroller took a left turn and we found our little Anna in a cape within 2 minutes.  You know, we don't miss that mullet. It needed to go.  Every day Steven and I look at her and at each other and say, "her hair looks so much better!"  Steven says she looks like a little business woman now.

9! Really???

Imagine this photo as a valentine with a sucker in hand.

 Benjamin:

Plays Soccer and Piano (currently working on Harry Potter music)
Loves to read, especially The Magic Tree House series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Calvin and Hobbes.
Is doing very well in school, excelling at math and was chosen to be class representative because the kids think he is friendly, smart and responsible.

He loves soldiers, playing the Wii, Legos and board games; favorite one Halo Wars Risk.  And talk about the best brother sisters could ask for!  He takes care of those babies, baby-sits while I run up and down stairs, makes them giggle, keeps them from harm and appreciates their adorableness.  When Steven mentioned that Anna would be going to Kindergarten someday, Ben starting crying because he didn't want her to grow up.  That sounds familiar, and that's why we tell Ben he's stopping at 9.  No double digits dude!  You're all going to stay little forever!

Ben turns 9 and we celebrate Harry Potter Style!

Ben and I have been reading Harry Potter for I don't know how long.  We have loved every minute of it and just completed book 6 so this was the theme of his party.  We painted owls, had dinner in the Great Hall and Steven (a.k.a. Professor Snape) taught a potions class.  Oh, it was fun! I enjoyed the decorations more than anyone else and spent months planning and prepping, knowing it would be hard to accomplish with two little ones.  Ben designed the cake.  It was a photo image printed with edible ink.  It was also dairy free. We forgot to take a picture of the other Quiditch cake from Wegman's.

A shipment of Amazon Prime baby food arrives

Um, can I have some of this food?  I want to go to there.

Little Livie 6 months

So while Anna turned 2, Livie turned 6 months, but I'm slow at updating so I will share a bit about the 8 month old Livie!

Let's state the obvious.  She has a wicked come over that doesn't look so bad from the front. Moving on... Livie is a quiet joyful soul with a firey temper.  She gives kisses and lean-to's. She is insanely strong.  Livie is crawling! And often with one foot flat on the floor so she can half stand at any moment.  She's pulling herself up and standing and she has even stolen a cupcake from Anna.  She loves her new found freedom and mobility and will play with toys for long stretches at a time but somehow she is always drawn to the trash and the fireplace.  She had a love of jumping in the bouncer which is fading quickly.  When I sing to her, she hums along.  Her signature lullaby is "so this is love" from Cinderella.  It just came to me one day as I was rocking her and gazing into her sweet face.  She is our only baby to ever take a binky; out of necessity because of the months of terrible colic!  And she is dairy intolerant which means I haven't had dairy (without guilt, I've snuck a couple times) for about 6 months.  Her brother and sister and stair wells make her giggle the hardest but she is always ready to give mom and dad a sweet smile.  Her Pokemon' power is charm:)  Livie is so adorable, she is always in danger of being eaten, and I tell her so.

Brother and "Weevee"

Miss Anna is 2

This girl is a joy.  Let me tell you about her. She is by definition, a girly girl and a joyful soul.  She prances around the house on tip toes, sings, dances, likes to paint her toes, loves to dress up and play doll house, babies and kitchen.  But she can also play "satch" (catch) with Ben, kick a ball around, play plastic soldiers and knights and she LOVES to build towers with MEGA BLOCKS. She has learned to say "the" and says it often where it shouldn't be, "dank du the mama!"  "Bye, bye, the Ben!"  And those thank yous, last all day long and we love them!  She's a miracle sleeper, she's passionate about her blanket and has discovered the power that comes with using a chair as a stepping stool.  She's independent and will fetch her own snack and spoons.  She gives loves and hugs and kisses to everyone and enjoys music, books, and the t.v. shows: Peppa Pig and Olivia. She is a fun and loving sister (minus the phase when she bit Ben in the chest from trying to remove her from standing on a chair). We just adore this sweetie! It is a joy to watch her grow!
