The first weekend in August we took a trip up to Green Bay for a fun filled Saturday. We went to Bay Beach Amusement Park which is the best possible amusement park if you have little kids. Each ride is 25 cents or 50 cents. So much fun!
"We're like Mary Poppins, Mom!"
On the Ferris Wheel
Can you spot Aiden?
Riding the Train
Driving the boat.
These little bugs were probably Esther's favorite. :)
Aiden loved that he could shoot on this ride. He was literally squealing with delight the whole ride, which also spun around rather fast, which is why I didn't get very good pictures. :)
Aiden kept yelling "VROOOOOM!" while driving the cars. They could swerve a little on this ride, which Aiden loved, but Esther wasn't too fond of. :)
Riding the helicopters. You could control how high up you went with the bar. Aiden loved flying them.
We had so much fun at the amusement park that we ended up playing right through our nap time. We stayed for 5 hours! And the kids did great the whole time!! By that evening the kids were wiped out. But it wasn't time to be done yet! Every year the Packers have a family night where you can watch the Packers scrimmage for $10. Since we can't afford regular game day tickets, this was a great way for our family to watch the Packers play in Lambeau Field. :)
Esther needed a seat and my feet were the best available substitute.
This is what I got when I asked the kids to smile for a picture. Poor hungry kids!
When we got inside we were thrilled to learn that we were on the suite level which included an enclosed space and air conditioning (both were great for the kids and this pregnant mama).
Esther was a little nervous about how high up we were.
I love my sweetie!
Aiden was still tired, but we all had so much fun rooting on the Packers. It was great that we could just cheer for whoever had the ball without worrying about cheering for the wrong team. :) Esther loved watching and participating in the crowd wave. It lasted for a good 15 mins and she still never got bored of it.
We'll have to come back sometime to do the Lambeau Field tour, but we had to get a picture of the iconic Lambeau and Lombardi statues, right?
We had so much fun and will hopefully be back next year to do it again. :)
