November Thanks

Starting on November 1st I started writing down one thing I was grateful for each day. Nothing big, just the little things that I am grateful for. :) It helped me focus on the positive and made me look for the little blessings Heavenly Father sends my way, every day. :) I wanted all of these thanks in one place, so I thought I'd post them here:

I am so grateful for a husband who took the kids on a drive this morning so I could sleep a little longer. Love you darling.

I am grateful that we always have more than enough food. And I am grateful for the variety of food we have so that eventually I can find something Esther will eat.

I am grateful for dance. It always puts me in a better place. :)

I am grateful for the chance I have to clean my house. It means I am blessed with a house and stuff.

I am so grateful for friends. :) You all make me so happy! :)

I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the eternal nature of families.

I am grateful for disposable diapers. :)

I am grateful for my mommy. I can't wait to see her tomorrow! :)

I am grateful for flowers. Especially the potted ones my husband bought me. They really perk me up on such a gloomy, blustery day like today. :)

I am grateful for sleep.
**I also posted this on the same day:
I wrote a little song that I'd like to dedicate to Aiden. It's sung to the tune of "I could have danced all night" from My Fair Lady.

I could have slept all night,
I could have slept all night,
And still have begged for more.

I don't get much sleep these days,
My brain's in such a haze.
My patience just flew out the door.

I do not know what made me so exhausted.
Why all at one, my energy, I lost it!

I only know when he began to cry for me
I wished he'd sleep sleep, SLEEEEEEEEEP
ALL NIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Today I'm grateful for medicine.

Today I am eternally grateful for my marriage. I have a wonderful husband who I get to lean on through the hard times and rejoice with through the good times. I'm head over heels for him and I still can't believe he chose me. :) I love you darling!

I am grateful for the chance I have to do better.

I am grateful for Ibuprofen. I bashed my head on the corner of the cabinet and even though it happened yesterday, I've still got a huge goose egg and headache. ha ha ha! I'm such a clutz!

I'm grateful for modern technology that helps me keep in touch with family far away.

So grateful my mom was here for the past 5 days! I can't believe how much we got done (organizing the house, filling my fridge and pantry, church responsibilities, etc). Now if only she could have stayed for 3 weeks maybe I would feel like I had caught up on things! :)

I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. I was working on my computer when Aiden crawled up to me. I felt like I should tickle his chin (silly I know). When I did, he opened his mouth in a big smile and that's when I found a huge piece of plastic in his mouth! He could have easily choked on it! Thank heavens I was able to fish it out and he's fine.
**Later in the day I wrote this: Just barely we found him gagging on half of an easter egg. I have no idea where it came from, but once again I was able to get it out before he was hurt (although he did barf this time). I need to childproof my home again.

I am grateful for Christmas music. Yes I started listening to it in the beginning of November and no I don't want to hear your opinion about that. :)

I am grateful for my therapist. I have SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and so when I start seeing less of the sun during the fall and winter I start having a hard time. I am also grateful for my mother who told me I should start seeing my therapist again. :) ha ha ha!

I am grateful for my creativity. I love being able to create things that are beneficial for my family or just plain pretty. :)

I am grateful for the intuition that I have as a mother.

I am grateful for laughter. Mike got me giggling last night and I just couldn't stop! I love those moments. :) Although my cheeks are sore today. :) Apparently I need to laugh more during the day to get those muscles used to it. :)

My head is spinning with so many thoughts, it's hard to put into words what I'm grateful for today. So in a hugely understated summary: Today I am grateful for my life. For the people in it. For the places I get to live it. For the eternal nature of it. For the plan that Heavenly Father has for it. For the love I get to feel in it. I am grateful that it's mine despite and because of all the ups and downs in it.

I am grateful for the internet. It makes being a stay at home mom much easier (shopping, researching, etc). I just ordered some new furniture all in my pj's while Aiden naps. :)

I am grateful for my health. I am frequently sick thanks to a weak immune system, but I am grateful that today I am healthy so I get to enjoy this special day with my family and loved ones.
I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving. :)
