Haircut update

I know this picture of Esther has nothing to do with my haircut, but she's so cute I had to include it. :)
I should have posted this two weeks ago, since that's when I got my haircut... but that obviously didn't happen, so better late than never, right?
Here's a couple of the before pictures.
The day before I got my haircut, my hair actually cooperated and styled fairly cute and curly. :) The funny thing is I actually had my hair styled differently for church, but when I sat down in the pew the strap on my dress broke. So I had to use the bobbypins in my hair to MacGyver fix my dress (if I had duct tape up my sleeve I may have used that instead...).
I decided to go mostly with number 11, for those of you who voted. :) It's been two weeks and I still absolutely LOVE my haircut! One of my friends, Devenee, has been my hairstylist for at least the past year. In case you hadn't noticed, I like to do a bunch of different stuff with my hair and every time I come to Devenee with a new style she gets it spot on! The same goes for all of the trims in between dramatic cuts. :) So if you're in the Milwaukee area and need a cut, give her a call! :) She's fabulous!

There's several things I love about my cut. First, it's short and I feel cute with my hair short. Second it's long enough in the front to pull behind my ears if necessary (think mommy duty, cooking, cleaning, etc.). Third it's versatile enough that I can style it classy, sassy, funky, and any other way I'd like to. Fourth, it takes so little time to style! In fact, if I'm in a rush I can let it air dry and it still looks good. And lastly, Mike loves the cut, so double bonus there! :)
One last note, look at the last picture where I'm wearing a black shirt. I made that shirt. :) Yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself. I've made several shirts in the past few months. I should get pictures of all of them and post them for you to see. :)

Mike posting

Hey all, this is Mike. I just wanted to post what my cute wife said.
We were listening to some classical piano music on the computer and we had the following conversation.
Mike: I like this song.
Robyn: Do you know what it is called?
Mike: [deep blank stare] No...
Robyn: "Pretty Song... by some dead guy?"
That made me smile and woke me up from my deep blank stare, so I thought it was a blog-worthy quote:)
As Robyn would say, Keep Smiling! :)

Ready For a Change

So when I was pregnant with Esther I decided to try to give myself a haircut and it ended very badly. I ended up with a short pixie cut in order to fix it. A pixie cut was something I had always wanted to try, so it wasn't too tragic, but I hadn't been planning on it at the moment. Several weeks after the cut, I decided I was going to grow my hair out. Why? I don't really know, I just wanted a change. So I grew my hair out and here I am.
This is what my hair looks like right now. Straight as a stick and flat flat flat. Absolutely no volume.
I've realized something though. I do not look good with long hair. I don't think I look bad, but I don't feel like I look good. Does that make sense? I think I just look better with shorter hair.
Now I'm back to wanting a haircut again. I've made a vow to never cut my own hair again, so rather than impulsively cutting my own hair, I have decided to plan and carefully decide what cut I want before I go to my stylist.
I've been thinking about going for some bangs, so I pulled out a wig that I had that has bangs. Here's what I look like in that (so you can get a picture of me with bangs).I think that there's several styles that I could be very happy with. I just want something fun and maybe a little spunky. The following are some haircuts that I found online that I like. I would keep my base color of dark brown and then warm it up with some caramel and red highlights (maybe something like the wig coloring), so picture them in that color instead of blonde or whatnot. I've labeled each with a number. Please leave a comment and let me know which one you think would look best on me. :) Thanks for your help!
