So those of you who know my family, know that we're quirky sleepers. I can sleep in just about any position in just about any location. My mom has pictures of me from my childhood where I would be sleeping half on my bed and half on my bedside table. Some of us sleep walk, some of us sleep talk and I've even been known to sing and dance in my sleep (just ask some of my former mission companions...). Mike recites math equations in his sleep and I swear the other night he was taking a test in his sleep.
It seems that Esther is a quirky sleeper too. Last night after Esther had been asleep for a while we could hear her crawling around in her crib. Then she started crying. She wasn't settling down on her own so Mike went in there and she was sound asleep sitting up in the crib. Then several hours later, I woke up and she was knocking on the side of the crib. When I went in to check on her she was crawling in her sleep and then she sat up in the corner of the crib and started fussing. All while she was sound asleep. She did it one more time before morning. It was a long night for us...
This was the first time she'd done this, and I'm hoping it will be a one time thing and we won't have repeats tonight. :)

Pictures of Esther... and stuff
It's been a while since we have put up pictures, especially of Esther. Since it's Mike posting, you'll get a few random pictures thrown in at the end as well. Enjoy!

Here is a picture through the window of the construction going on in our backyard over the past month. This was not good for Esther's afternoon naps as you can imagine.

She managed to scoot herself under a our armchair, and she thinks she is in trouble so she's trying to look innocent.
Rice is her favorite.
Sorry for the blurry pictures, but this is Esther after a good night's sleep--happy as can be with her sock monkey:)

This is the starship enterprise about to dock with the death star. Actually, it is a very expensive machine I got to use this past summer for my research project involving a new type of antibiotic. One day, I accidentally spilled some of the chemicals (seen on the right in tubes with blue lids) and no one cared, even though replacing the box of chemicals cost like $300. Science is expensive.

Very hard to see, but if you use your imagination and turn the screen brightness up, you can see the outline of a deer. Our friends live across the street from a big park (actually it is the front of a retirement home near a river) and so they occasionally have some fun wildlife in their front yard.
