In Honor of The Halpert's

First of all- I've done like 5 posts just today, so make sure you scroll down to see them all.

Ever since the famous 'Office' wedding, Jase has not been able to get enough of this song. He loves to dance to it and as you can see in the video, his favorite part is the beginning. I love how he crouches down and waits until it goes "1,2,3,4.." then he starts dancing like crazy. It would be hilarious to watch him go down a wedding isle to this music:)!

Nature's Beauty

For FHE last Monday we took a drive to see the foliage. It is absolutley, amazingly gorgeous! We gave a little lesson for Jase about how Jesus made the world for us and sang along to primary songs about the beautiful earth. I am so thankful for these moments with my family! The world really is amazing and beautiful. It warms me inside to take a break from busy life and remember everything Heavenly Father has done for us and how much he loves us and what an amazing place he gave us to live!
After our drive we picked out our pumpkins at a little shop on the side of the road than headed home for some pumpkin pie and hot coco.
MMM, I love the fall!

It's a First!

My dad would be SO proud!

Ryan got his first ever Golf Trophy at our Ward tournament! He was so excited (you're never too old for trophies I guess)! With all the sports trophies Ryan's received in his life time, he finally got one my family would be proud of:-)

Feeding Kacey

Most parents of a toddler know that you have to get creative to get your kids to eat sometimes. We've done airplane a million times with Jase--- sometimes it works. The other night however, Jase decided the Uncle Kacey needed a little help:).

Date Night

Tell me this isn't beautiful!

Last Saturday, Ryan and I got to go out on a little date night and took a 'Sunset Cruise' around Boston Harbor. It was so pretty and relaxing (with no toddler at hand). It was a nice little get away and we even learned a little about the history of the harbor.

Thanks to Nikki and Kacey for watching the little man for us. He sure loves his Aunt and Uncle. Kacey must have played him into the ground, because he went to bed at 8:30 (as usual) and didn't make a peep until 11:15 Sunday morning!

Mix-up

So most of you know me well enough to know my obsession with all things Twilight and if you know my husband you also know that he thinks it's pathetic and never ceases to roll his eyes anytime the word 'vampire' or 'Edward' come up.
Well a friend and I decided that we should get some fun t-shirts to wear to New Moon when it comes out so we headed to the mall to take a look. We were at Hot Topic looking through the many shirts and Jase was trying to run away out of the store so my friend tries to help me by distracting Jase and shows him a picture of all the New Moon characters. She says "Here Jase you should learn all these characters." So she points to Edward and says "Who's that?" Jase looks at it for a second and says " umm... Daddy!"
We burst out laughing- 'Oh Ryan will love that!' I think, and of course when I told him the story I got the eye roll and an "oh brother."
Kids are so funny:)

Fall is here...

... and it means that New England is getting a little more beautiful and a little more cold each day! It also means that school is a full swing and that brings in new faces and friends. Here's a few things we've been up to.

There is now a total of 8 couples that live at Overlook and in our ward many of whom are in dental school. It has been so fun getting to know everyone and hanging out. The first week of school we all decided to go out to eat at Dick's Last Resort... it was TERRIBLE SERVICE.
This was our waitress...doesn't she look happy.
She was sooo rude. She threw our silverware at us and rolled her eyes when we ordered. She told us to hurry up, made us wear bibs, and called us names.
So why do we all look happy?.. (except me place ignore the hideous face:)
It's what we were expecting! So Dick's is called the 'Last resort' for a reason. The workers have to be mean to you, but it makes for a totally fun and hilarious night out. It was great for the kids too because we were all throwing napkins and paper scraps at each other and our waitress and we could be as loud as we wanted.

Some funny things our waitress said to us included:

"What are you 12 and married?"
"I'm trying to help you, you idiot!"
"Sing us a song, Joe Jonas."
"I'll explain the menu when I get back...ya'll don't look smart enough to figure it out."
"Don't ask what you get for free...that is SO tacky!"
"That goes for you, Denim Diane."
"Whadya want, Nurse Man?"

It was the WORST service ever, but SO much FUN, and the food was delicious too!

This is Russell Orchards, a beautiful place to drive to and so fun to go.
We picked apples and pumpkins and had some famous Apple Cider Donuts.
It was a nice afternoon out with the kids and friends.
The fall is so nice here and there's so much to do, if only it would stay this way and not turn into winter:)

What we do on lazy Sunday mornings

Jase has officially turned into a crazy man!
