Pioneer Day
On Saturday Matt took the girls to our ward Pioneer Celebration. I was at work so unfortunately I missed out on all of Brooke's pies. She did take these pictures for me though. Thanks Brooke! By the way you need to post the recipe for the lemon sour cream pie...yummm.

Happy Birthweek

This is Matt. First of all, I'm not sure husbands are allowed to post into the blogosphere, so if you see me watching Oprah and reading Twilight then you'll know something went terribly wrong.
If you didn't already know, this is the week of the Rachel. It all started Monday with her birthday when she turned twenty-seighndfbghadj. Brooke brought Rachel flowers & then my mom came to babysit the girls for a day. I came home from work early & whisked her away for Hollywood night. First stop, the Fox studio lot for a quick tour of the New York street facade & the external area of the House set. Without going into detail, I will just say it wasn't exactly what I planned...that is the subject of an entirely separate Hall of Shame blog post. But nobody got arrested & I didn't get fired from the Fox account, so all in all we're OK. We left the lot pretty quickly after that.
Next we checked in at the Beverly Hilton just blocks from Rodeo Drive and the Roxbury, etc. Quick change, then off to dinner at Spago's. Wolfgang was out of town, so no handshake this time, but the meal was great with special props to the appetizz. Rachel was looking especially foxy, so they seated us in a booth positioned so that everyone entering the restaurant had a clear view of Rachel in all her birthday splendour.
On Tuesday it was lunch with Rachel's family in the OC, and Thursday night they've got girls night out at Cheesecake Factory celebrating Rachel's b-day and the b-day of several other girls.
So it's like the birthday that keeps on giving.
Happy Birthweek Rachel! I love you tons & am so happy you are my wife & the mother of our girls. You do an incredible job in all these responsibilities.
Please join me in wishing Rachel a happy birthweek!

July 4th
We had a really fun 4th. We went to the Orange 2nd pancake breakfast and then to the Tustin Meadows Parade. This parade is especially fun because everyone who is in the parade throws candy so the girls had fun running around trying to grab the candy before the other kids. Then we went swimming and had a little bar-b-que at my parents house with Jackie and Nathan. It was a fun and hot day!!!

Bunk Beds
We finally found some bunk beds for the girls. Natalie loves them so much. She is very excited to be sleeping on the top. They have been having fun going to bed at the same time. The other night we could hear them laughing and then they stopped and we thought finally they're asleep. A few seconds later they both came walking out of the bedroom holding hands and giggling. Then we realized...they've officially ganged up on us.
