this is a clock in our office. mellie, you're the patron saint.
by the way, if you want to become a minister in two seconds online, you can do that here www.ulc.org. this will give you privileges to legally join people in marriage and bury them and some other stuff that you can read about. plus you get a color certificate.

here i am writing a lecture in our living room

and here is gi on the Whidbey island beach. it was cold but beautiful

and here is a decorated shack. Coupeville on Whidbey island is supposd to be the oldest colonial town in Washington state. Their main street is the tourist downtown with many anique shops and some sweet cafes that hide under the shops and face right over the water. many buildings have this "olde towne" facade tacked onto them. it makes them fit the role of the odlest town. the facade is usually painted with nice signs and a fresh coat of paint. behind the facade is usually some rickety looking shack with a mossy roof that houses the antique shop full of glass candle holders made in China and such. But most of these shacks are actually pretty nice inside. Large old growth wood beams and in general a lot of wood, not much plastic. being right on the Penn Cove, the air in the town is salty and fresh.

Last night I dreamt that I was ascending into the sky by taking deeper and deeper breaths. Like diving, with each breath my body was becoming lighter. Somehow, my flight was sponsored by a feminist organization and while I was going up, there were credits scrolling through the sky. Women's names in red letters. Some of the names were written in Russian and most in English. Suddenly I realized that I was ascending inside of a tall empty building. When I got to the top, there was a small open window. I was floating and looking out of it onto the quilted ground below. There was a dead, crab-sized spider hanging on the ledge outside. Suddenly it started to move and came through the window and started trying to grab me with its claws. I was trying to fly away from it, but it was flying on a spider web after me. I started hitting it and eventually its claw came off. Then a white heron flew in and grabbed the spider’s claw. The spider kept trying to attack me and I kept hitting it. Its other claw came off and then its body crashed to the floor and ripped open. Its stomach opened and inside of it was a little fish. The fish was still alive and it was flopping in the spider’s gut juice. The heron grabbed the guts and the fish in and flew away.
