New House

I wanted to post a few pictures of our new house. After taking pictures, I realized there were a ton of them. Because it would be ridiculous to post them all, I thought I'd just make a web album. Here are the pictures of our new house in Arvada!

We have a tooth!!!!

She beat Simon by two months.

Race For the Cure

This weekend, we went to Cheyenne to run in the Race for the Cure with my sister Rachael and brother-in-law Chris. We had such a great time. As usual, we raced in honor of our wonderful friend Kathy Higgins who lost her battle with cancer. We all wore buttons with her picture. It was an honor.

I ran in my new Vibram 5-finger shoes. My niece couldn't take her eyes off of them and my dad commented that "they were just plain creepy," but I love my new shoes!
Believe the hype.

Summer Reading Program

Shortly after we moved to Colorado, I enrolled Simon and Lucy in the summer reading program at the local library. Simon was very excited and Lucy was excited because he was.

Here are the kids with their completed charts.

Because they completed their charts, their first reward was a morning at the library party and a free book. Here are the kids with their books. Notice Simon's wicked-awesome train on his arm. There was a great face-painting booth, but Simon didn't want anything on his face.

Not only did they get free books, but they also earned free passes to a local amusement park. We discovered Simon is a dare-devil. We finally had to drag him out of the park at 9:45 p.m., right after he rode the roller coaster.

We'll definitely enroll next summer!
