So, my life has been turned upside down a little bit. Our ward was just split and we lost quite a few of our members. We all started getting called in for new callings. We have a new bishopric and needed new presidencys in all the different areas of the church. I new right away that I was being called into the primary. Cody got called as the ward financial clerk (he loves it) and a few days later, I was called in to be the new Primary president...YIKES! I've never even served in a presidency before. Needless to say, I am really busy lately and somewhat overwhelmed. We have so many callings to fill and our entire cub scout program was wiped out. So, I am trying to learn scouting as quickly as I can to get through Day Camp and then I will try to get that program up and running again.  I'm actually really excited to be back in primary and I am already learning a lot. I feel blessed to be able to serve and my kids are all really excited that I get to be with them on Sundays. So, here we go to a new form of busy. May 1, 2012

Herrets Museum Science Day

The Herrets Museum had a day of fun activities for the kids set up, so we checked it out and it was super fun. We made constellation cans and really cool bottle rockets. In our group: Amber, Cody, Cooper, Collin, two kids we don't know in lime shirts, Keagan, Hannah, kid we don't know, Madelyn, Marshall and Jack.
Marshall went first. Wow! These things shoot up really far. The kids were loving it!
 Madelyn
Jack was all excited to do his all by himself. He gave the man his rocket that he decorated...by himself...
and he pulled the rope...by himself...and he fell flat on his bum. It was really funny.
Jack's rocket flew on top of the museum, while the others shot over the trees. The nice helpers threw it back down for us. Jack though that was pretty cool. They had a man in a golf cart rescue the other rockets, so the kids could take them home after they shot them.
 Hannah's all ready.
 What a great action shot!
Cody and I even made one and, of course, Cody had to see his fly. Jack helped launch Cody's and my rocket. This was a really fun family activity. We all wish we had our own launching machine. April 28, 2012

What a handsome devil!

Cody was out flying his kite on a cold, windy day and Cooper and I stayed huddled in the van. We were watching the action from the front seat when Cooper found himself in the mirror and thought he was pretty cute stuff. I love babies! Cooper's at such a fun age; not moving and getting into stuff too much, but super responsive and funny.  He gives me those cute smiles so easily. He also will copy our motor boat sound and blow us raspberries. So fun!

Short lived Activity Days calling

So, about two months ago, I was called as an Activity Days leader for Madelyn's age group. We had a ton of fun! This is a modest fashion show that we did with the girls and it was hilarious. Little Kennedy Evans was super funny on the microphone as she described each girls' modest outfit as the walked the "cat walk".
Hannah joined us today and she was so thrilled. She can't wait to do everything her big sister gets to do.
Madelyn was so silly...as were all the girls. They had so much fun. We then painted their nails and snapped funny pictures.

Cooper loves his fan club

Cooper has so much family that love and adore him. This is one spoiled little guy. Aunt Laura and her family are living with Cody's parents right now, so we enjoy seeing them all the time now. We will be really sad when they move to Utah; especially Cody...he will miss his sister's cooking. April 29, 2012

We are not camera shy

My kids at their best! The girls had school pictures today and they looked so pretty in their summer dresses that I snapped a few pics when they got home. They are a bunch of goof balls who love the camera.

My sweet girls are growing up way too fast.
This one imparticular is going to cause us a lot of trouble with the boys when she grows up.

The year of replacing

So, Cody and I have been married for 12 years and most of what we own we bought when we were first married. I guess that's the magic number of years when things start breaking and need replacing. I feel like I'm going to be on that list soon. First, we bought a new washing machine and the dryer is next on the list. I do love my new washing machine...I just didn't love the "these are made to last about 5-6 years but cost way more than your old one that lasted 12 years" speech.
Second was a new lawnmower. I am the lawnmower in our house and I literally ran the wheels off our last one. I was mowing and the wheel broke and spun right off the lawnmower. Cody was such a nice hubby to buy me a self-propelled one this time. It has taken off, leaving me in the dust, a couple times. I will have to get used to driving it if we are going to get along.
Third was a new weed-whacker. I have to have my lawn weed-whacked. It's a pet-peeve of mine. So, while we were blowing all our money, we decided to buy a blower attachment for our weed-whacker and it is the absolute best! No more sweeping the back patio (such a pain), the leaves off the rocks...I love this thing.
Fourth was a much needed...desperately needed shed. If you've been to our house, you've noticed our one car garage that does not fit one car. It fits Cody's motorcycle, the kid's Jeep and all their bikes and mess. I am so happy to say that my garage is super clean and organized and my shed has all my garden tools and kids toys and bikes, the lawnmower and I absolutely love it! It makes me smile every time I look out my kitchen window and see that shed. And then I think of all the money we had to spend and the smile disappears...Thank goodness for tax refunds. Summer is coming!

We are getting so anxious for summer at my house. We pulled out the swing for Coops and he is loving being outside.
He blows raspberries like crazy when he's enjoying himself. Such a funny kid.
Jack has moved his DS playing to the patio couch. Yes, that is a Costco Weight loss shake he is drinking. Sometimes that's the only way I get vitamins in him. He is such a picky eater; it drives me crazy!
We had a great family move in two houses down two months ago and Jack is loving his new friends. It's been great for me because when my girls go to school, Jack gets a little bored with me. He now has a five year old boy, Jesiah, and a 3 year old girl, Tabi, to play with. I love good neighbors! April 17, 2012

A simple balloon...

Cooper gets so excited over a balloon. He thinks it is the greatest thing ever.
He can hardly contain his excitement when his balloon is almost with in his reach. Cracks me up!
He gets such a concerned and upset look on his face when his balloon gets away from him.
d
Cooper scoots around pretty well now, but he still does this "airplane" on the floor. He lifts his arms and legs off the floor and kicks like crazy. It's super funny. April 16, 2012

Trains, Planes and Automobiles

It's amazing to me how boys/girls are just wired different right from the start. Cooper is such a boy already. This is his favorite place to be; in Jack's room with all the cars and trains and balls. His favorite thing is to sit by the tub of train parts and empty it out. He has to suck on each piece before he moves on to the next...kind of gross. This gives me just enough time to do my hair and makeup in the morning. I don't think Jack is too fond of sharing his space with Cooper, but he will learn soon enough.
If you can't tell by the pictures of Cooper, he is the most content, happy little kid and Cody and I, as well as everyone around Coops, enjoy him so much. I have been so blessed by him. What better way to fix a crummy, hectic day than a snuggly hug and big opened mouth grin from my baby. Love you Coops! April 12, 2012

A little disturbing!

So, we are in Costco with Cody's entire family...mom, dad, sister's family, both brothers and their families...and we are all enjoying our pizza. Jack was sitting in the cart. Cooper was in his car seat behind Jack. Jack had his plastic fork and knife and he was sharpening his knife with his fork. It was a little creepy. We didn't think much of it until Cooper let out a cry. I looked over and Jack had taken his knife and cut a line from Cooper's hair line to the tip of his nose. Not deep enough to bleed, but it left quite a scratch. If you can imagine me in the middle of the food court laying in to my evil son, that's exactly what I did. I was furious! Jack got into some serious trouble and was sent straight to bed when we got home. Cody created this disturbing, yet appropriate picture soon after. Jack is secretly super mean to Cooper. He squeezes his hand really hard to make him cry when I'm not looking...things like that. How mean is that?! It's only a phase...please! April 2012

Windy Idaho

We had some great wind the week of Easter, so Cody took all the family kite flying. He showed off all his tricks and then sat back and laughed at the rest of us. Just the other day, we went again and Cody was holding on to me while I was flying the big kite. It was really windy and a big gust came and Cody let go of me and the kite yanked me off the ground. I flew, fell, tumbled and rolled across the grass. At least I let go of the kite and made Cody run after it, the little punk! I grass stained my brand new pair of jeans!
Cody loves to dive bomb the kids.

It's a joke in the family that Cody's the biggest kid out of everyone...and it's true...and we love him for it. April 8, 2012

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny found our house once again and is determined to rot my kids teeth.
Hannah, Kade, Carsen and Madelyn playing with their Easter treasures.
We went to Grandma McQueen's ward for church so that we could join the family for a delicious dinner. Our ward is at 2:30 and no one wanted to wait for us. Cooper loves looking at Grandma's fan.
My two boys who look nothing alike. Each one super cute in their own way.
My two kids who look very much alike. I love their big brown eyes. Cooper has the darkest eyes of all my kids.
My two beautiful girls. It scares me to see them growing up. Cody and I are in for a lot of trouble.
We took a walk around the temple with Gina and her kids, Grandma and us. It was a beautiful Easter Sunday.
Jack on his new "fast scooter". He is really coordinated for his age. April 8, 2012
