Comfy Sheets

We love our DAD!

Reasons our Dad is the BEST!
1. He loves to snuggle in bed and watch movies with us even when Mom says not too.
2. He gives the best horsie rides
3. He plays on the trampoline with us
4. He takes us on his motorcycle
5. He lets us eat cereal for dinner
6. He can fix anything
7. He sings with us on the piano
8. He always makes us laugh
9. He loves us!
The girls searched and searched for the perfect rocks to paint for Daddy. They did such a great job and had so much fun painting this little surprise. I only helped on the little details. We then colored pictures of our favorite things to do with Daddy and made a book for him. Madelyn colored a picture about camping with Dad and getting horsie rides. Hannah colored a picture about jumping on the trampoline with Dad and riding Daddy's motorcycle.

We had fresh blueberries, so we made Daddy blueberry pancakes and they were delicious! Cody's the best at cooking breakfast foods, especially pancakes, so I was a little worried about how he would like them, but they were great!

I handed Jack a whole pancake and he scarfed it down; so I handed him a nother one and he scarfed that one too! What a little piggy...he loves food!

Jack Finally Rolls Over!

Jack is just shy of 6 months old and he finally rolled over. He loves to move his body, but doesn't care much for rolling, so I was thrilled when he just, out of the blue, rolled over. He now rolls over quite often and I'm having to train myself not to set him up on things anymore. I learned this after he flipped his car seat off the kitchen table onto the tile with him in it. He didn't get any bumps or bruises, luckily, but I sure felt bad. rollin' rollin' rollin'

Get that arm out!

Yeah! You did it! June 11, 2009

Jump! Jump! Jump!

This is how I get all my computer work done...another jumper. Jack loves to jump! He has strong legs and he bounces out of control. I have other 'sit-in' toys, but they just don't do the trick. Jack needs the bouncing feature for him to be content and boy is it funny to watch him go.

It's just a loose tooth...or two!

Madelyn was so excited when she got her first loose tooth. She thought she was such a big kid. On Sunday it was pretty loose, so Cody tied some floss around it telling Madelyn he was just checking how loose it was. With out any warning, he yanked it out! Madelyn didn't know if she was upset or excited.

Just about an hour after we pulled her first tooth, Hannah accidentally knocked her other tooth out. This one hurt a little more because it wasn't quite as loose. After a bit, Madelyn thought it was pretty funny and she got to go to Primary and show all her friends her two lost teeth.

Puzzles!

Hannah is my puzzle lover. These are her two favorite puzzles to put together. I caught her kissing Snow White on the cheek...too funny.

More Rhubarb Please!

I was making Rhubarb cookies and Jack was getting a little fussy, so I cut him a piece. I thought he would give me the sour face, but he could not get enough of it.
I love Rhubarb!

Poor Worms.

We have been getting soooo much rain. I can't remember a more wet summer than this, which means a lot of worms. Madelyn and Hannah went around collecting worms. Madelyn then made a circle of rocks filled with dirt on the driveway for their home...too bad this just baked the poor worms. We called it the worm concentration camp. Madelyn also found a big slug that she decided to make a rock home for; which is what you see here. She put so many rocks on top of it that she squished the slug. She told me, "Mom, I think I squished my slug so this will be it's grave." So I have to say sorry to all the bugs my kids get their hands. June 8, 2009

Lots and Lots of Bike rides!

Ever since Madelyn learned how to ride her bike, she constantly wants to go on bike rides. So, we've ridden to a few parks, Cody's office, Grandma's house and Cody even took us on a ride to Idaho Pizza. The kids love the bike rides and it's great exercise for me since I'm pulling the little ones. I have been so impressed with how tough Madelyn is on these rides. They are pretty far and she does great on her little bike. June 2009

Our Annual Zions Trip...Amazing once again!

Here comes Shawn Leavitt down the second to last rappel in Pine Creek Canyon.

That's right, I am one sexy b*#@!

I really don't know who this is, we all look the same in our sweet man suits,
but this was my favorite part, the Cathedral in Pine Creek.

You would think they were miners if it wasn't for the . . . . well you know.

Right about now Dee is thinking, "what did these guys get me into?!?"

Cue music. . . "Fat guy in a little hat..." Man I have a huge noggin!

Pine Creek was so cool. I mean look at that! It looks like
we are in a cave since the walls were so high and narrow. Very fun
and exhilarating adventure.

Sprinkler Time!

Summer is here and my kids think that any day with sunshine is a great day to play in the water. Madelyn loves the sprinkler under the trampoline.

Hannah is not a big fan of sprinklers, so she heads for the licorice instead. I don't know why she even puts her swimming suit on.

My 28th Birthday!

Well, I'm one year older and am just starting to realize that I am not a teenager any more; although I still act like one. It's crazy for me to think that I'm 28, I've been married for 10 years and I have three kids. Wow!
My birthday was a little low key. I watched my sister's little boy during the day and then Cody took me out to the newly opened Cafe Rio for dinner with his parents and April and Todd. We then all went over to Costco where Cody let me pick out my own dessert...cheesecake of course. The key lime cheesecake was really good! Cody's parents were so thoughtful, a little while ago they gave me Grandma McQueen's cinnamon bread recipe that I've been practicing. So for my birthday, they gave me the loaf pans, baster brushes and real vanilla beans. Thanks Mom and Dad! Cody was so nice, he gave me an external hard drive for my laptop so that I could keep downloading pictures and blogging. He also gave me some earrings that I love...he's not so much a romantic, so this was extra special to me. Thanks for a great birthday Cody! May 27, 2009

Western Days Parade

Another hot Western Days! In little Twin Falls, a parade is a very exciting activity for the kids.
Hannah, Mason Ward, Colton Ward, Madelyn and Corban Ward all loading up on candy.

On the ride home, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw this! Hannah loves suckers and she had one in each hand. I wish I could get that much enjoyment out of a sucker.

Just 2 weeks after the parade incident, Hannah came home from Grandma McQueen's house with four suckers and, once again, this is what I saw in my rear view mirror. Thanks Grandma! May 30, 2009

A little Daddy time

I tried to claim Jack as mine because of his fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes...but he is all Cody. Jack loves his Daddy and Cody loves to play with Jack because he is always so happy. What a smiler! May 30, 2009
