The Latest

I am so sad. The Olympics are over. But...hey...Michael Phelps won his eight golds!! How AmAZinG is he! Unfortunately we didn't take as many golds as I expected, but we did take the most medals. That has to count for something, right?

Anyway...during all the Olympic fun, we did get out of the house and have some fun of our own. We went up to Olcott Beach with our friends Crescent & Dave and their beautiful daughter Maia.

They have a little amusement park up there rides are only 25 cents! Don't think you can find any cheaper. We all had a really great time until we went to dinner. Just so you know...DOn'T EvER go to a restaurant up there called The Lighthouse Grill. We were there for over an hour, and still hadn't gotten our dinner. All the kids were getting restless. So were we. So we threw a $5 bill on the table for drinks and salad and walked out the door. We would have totally understood, had it been really busy.

Sean's parents came up for a day. So Sean took them and the boys to Scottish fest. Of course everyone had a good time. Unfortunately, I couldn't go. I had family in town for the day, too. I missed Lucas' first ride on a horse!! So cool!

During all this, I had projects to do. Our friends Megan & Bron are having a baby girl next month. The shower was this past weekend and this is the baby blanket that I had made for her.

And this was the cake I made for the shower! I am so proud of myself. I am finally getting it!

GoOD TImES!!

I will apologize for the massive post! I will not bombard you with all the pictures, though. And I have TONS! I am a HuGE Olympics fan!! So, now that they have started, I am trying to do as little as possible. As big of a fan as I am of the Olympics, I am a bigger fan of Michael Phelps!!!!! So, I figure I will update my blog while he is NOT swimming. 5 golds already...3 more to go!!!! GO PHELPS!!! GO USA!!!!!

****************************
We have taken the boys up to the aquarium again!! They have finally gotten an octopus up there. That was one of the reasons we went. But we never even got to see it. It hid the whole time we were there. :-( But there will be many more trips up there. Chances are...eventually it has to come out!

***********************
We went out to Cleveland this past weekend for many reasons. First, was for the Fox golf/shop outing! Men go golfing, women go shopping!!!!!! We had the best time out there. It was very busy. Go, go, go!! But so great to see the whole family together!!

Another reason was for his cousin. She completed her Final Vows to become a nun! What an unbelievably beautiful ceremony it was!

Sean piped for the ceremony!

Third reason...That night we had Sean's uncle's 60th birthday party to attend. Sean and Dennis actually share the same birthday!

*****************************
Tuesday was Sean's birthday. So I threw him a party! Almost all of our friends were able to make it. Everybody brought a dish to pass, so there was so much GReAT food!! Thank you all! Everybody ate and visited. A great time was had by all, I think!!

Here is the birthday boy looking at his cake. He couldn't blow out the candles because the littlest wind blew out the cheap candles I bought!

It rained for at least 4 days before the party and our lawn doesn't drain well. So...the kids were soaked, but they had fun! Sorry to all the parents though.

And of course, there was Kan Jam!! Thank you Creed and Tiffany for bringing it up!!

Thank you to all who came and made this a great time for Sean!

Update

Just wanted to update everybody on all that we have been doing since we returned from vacation. Phew...we have been busy! And we thought we were busy on vacation!

The day after we returned...HaIL! Can you believe it! What a great gift to return to!

Sean's cousin Ashley came for the weekend to visit. While here, we took her to Duff's, of course. Along with our neighbors, we then took her up to the Balloon launch that ended up not happening due to the wind. But the boys all had a great time and made the most of it. They at least got to get in one of the baskets!

I love this one of Lucas hugging the flag pole before we left.

We went to the beach with some friends!

Hayden wiped out on the way home!

We had one of Sean's classmates, and friend, over for dinner. This is Beecher, his wife Kelli, son LB and his mother. Also a mystery guest apparently showed up in the picture!! Hmmmm! We also did have another friend, Dave over for dinner the next night while his wife is out of town. But, I have no pictures.

The boys were outside today and played on the neighbor's slip & slide with their 2 little boys!
