I am so sad. The Olympics are over. But...hey...Michael Phelps won his eight golds!! How AmAZinG is he! Unfortunately we didn't take as many golds as I expected, but we did take the most medals. That has to count for something, right?
Anyway...during all the Olympic fun, we did get out of the house and have some fun of our own. We went up to Olcott Beach with our friends Crescent & Dave and their beautiful daughter Maia.

They have a little amusement park up there rides are only 25 cents! Don't think you can find any cheaper. We all had a really great time until we went to dinner. Just so you know...DOn'T EvER go to a restaurant up there called The Lighthouse Grill. We were there for over an hour, and still hadn't gotten our dinner. All the kids were getting restless. So were we. So we threw a $5 bill on the table for drinks and salad and walked out the door. We would have totally understood, had it been really busy.

Sean's parents came up for a day. So Sean took them and the boys to Scottish fest. Of course everyone had a good time. Unfortunately, I couldn't go. I had family in town for the day, too. I missed Lucas' first ride on a horse!! So cool!

During all this, I had projects to do. Our friends Megan & Bron are having a baby girl next month. The shower was this past weekend and this is the baby blanket that I had made for her.

And this was the cake I made for the shower! I am so proud of myself. I am finally getting it!
