We saw the Pope

Mommy decided to book a hotel room fur the Papal weekend in Philadelphia.  Don't worry all her treadmill training with us paid off.   Flat Lassie and Benji walked over 4 miles on Saturday and over 3 miles on Sunday during the Papal Weekend.

Flat Lassie and Benji saw lots of Pope banners on street sign posts in Philadelphia on Friday night.

This is a picture with the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in the background.

On Saturday we were blessed to be able to be in the Basilica with Pope Francis for the private Mass.  The keychain version of flat Lassie and Benji came out of Mommys bag fur about 87 seconds during the Pope's homily.  (Actually if you blinked you probably would have missed us, thats how quick our appearance was at the Mass.)In this picture Pope Is standing to the left of the icon.  He is in white, standing below the Altar. (Between Lassie and Benji's heads, above a pilgrims hair.)

Saturday afternoon we headed to the Festival of Families.

We saw a Police Dog guarding everyone. Bravo to all the K9 police dogs who did a pawsome job on duty!

The picture version of Flat Lassie and Benji (not the keychain version) took a picture with the Jumbotron in the background.   The comedian was talking about bread and making us very hungry...pretzel bread, garlic knots, pumpernickle bread.

On Sunday we got to the Parkway super early!  Like 7 am!  The Mass didnt start until 4pm.    It was hard navigating the crowds that early in the morning.  People must have camped out and slept on the street overnight.

Again we were very blessed to have a great view of the Altar.

When Mommy came home, she brought back a Pope Doll! We were excited to see the Pope Doll but even more excited to see our Mommy!

Grandma and Mommys niece and nephew took great care of us while Mommy was on the pilgrimage with Flat Lassie and Benji. Thank you fur taking care of us!

We also want to thank all the Bloggers who had positive vibes and the Power of the Paw fur our safe trip.   Thanks fur having our back!

We will be there!

Omd, flat Lassie and Benji transformed themselves into a keychain to see the Pope!   Mommy plans on hooking the keychain to her bag.

Mommy has been slacking a little on Pope Exercising.   She needs to walk 2 miles to see the Pope and 2 miles to get back to her car.   (So 4 miles in one day.)

I scheduled 8 intense training days fur her on the treadmill and so far she missed 2 of her exercising days.  Ugggh!  What am I gonna do with that Mommy of mine!

If you could all keep the POTP fur a safe trip fur our Mommy and Flat Lassie and Benji that would be pawsome!

Thanks furiends!

Flat Lassie and Benji

Sorry we havent been around Blogville lately.

Flat Lassie and Benji received pawsome news.   Flat Lassie and Benji are gonna see the Pope!

Mommy has been practicing walking
on her treadmill so she can carry her picture of Flat Lassie and Benji to see the pope.

Dog o dog, u should have seen the layers of dust on the treadmill when mommy finally "dug" it out.

I have been Mommys personal trainer. I lay at the side of the treadmill and I wont let Mommy come down until she meets her goals.

Snowfreak Emergency

What the dog!

Snowfreaks (snowmen) invaded our territory!  They are everywhere!  A Blogville Snowfreak Emergency is in effect today!!!
We saw this Snowfreak balloon melting/deflating at our Blog friend Whitley's Barkday Pawty.

This snowfreak was at the local library!

This is outside our house.

At our back door.   I am doing my best to keep them out! Butt those snowfreaks are everywhere!
They got into our kitchen and transformed into a chocolate chip pancake. (Credit: pancake made by Mommys niece especially fur today)

More Snowfreaks in the kitchen! Do u see us both in the picture! (Credit: mommys brother-in-law made most of those wooden snowfreaks)

Oh my dog, we saw these snowfreak scissors making paper chain snowfreaks in our Living Room.   I am holding the snowfreaks down, and Benji is tearing their heads off!

Take that u Snowfreak!

And that!

I overheard one of the Snowfreaks say they escaped from our Blogfriend Frankie and Ernies movinG truck!  F&e moved from the state of o-high-o to pencil-vane-e-ah!   We are the state next door to that, new jer-z.

The Snowfreaks said they are headed across the pond!

Blogville, be warned a Snowfreak Emergency is in effect today!

Lassie and Benji

p.s.  F & E,  we missed u during your blog break. Welcome back.

The nose knows!

Mommy went to a birthday party without us.

As soon as she came home, I knew something was up.

I could smell that she was with other dogs! (Thats plural. Not one butt two dogs!)

Mommy tried to play innocent... she tried to change the subject when I started sniffing her shirt!  She tried to say, oh Lassie, you are such a good boy... Blah blah blah...

I gave her the evil eye stare and she confessed that there were other dogs at the party.

Then i started sniffing her shirt more intensely.

Then she confessed that she HELD another dog!

Then I gave the biggest most dramatic sniff of her shirt and gave her the ultimate evil eye stare...then Mommy confessed... She said she was holding a GIRL dog at the pawty!!!

I turned my head and walked away.

How dare she not bring us to the pawty and how dare she hold another dog!

Mommy tried to say... Someone put the little girl dog in her arms, she couldn't help but to hold another dog.

I say, theres no excuse for that!

Mommy is Guilty!   She owes us bigtime fur spending time at a pawty with other dogs!
