True Color Thursday - Royal Purple

I decided to try out True Color Thursday with the Cowspot Dogs at

Today's color is Royal Purple. (I know today is Wednesday, Mommy still doesn't know how to schedule posts right. Gee Wiz!)

Here are the photos of things that are Royal Purple (or kinda Royal Purple in my case.)


Mommy has a Royal Purple mouthpiece for her Baritone Horn. I tried to play a note, butt nothing came out! How in the world does Mommy get sound to come out of that thing!


You can kinda see Mommy's reflection in the bell, butt Mommy says thank goodness you can't see her too well in the photo, because she was having a really bad hair day for this photo -- it was raining all day! :)


Here's a photo of some of the pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs) Mommy keeps in her office. The bottom egg with the orange diamonds has a Royal Purple background color. (Mommy didn't make these eggs -- you should see the ones she tries to draw -- believe me, they don't look half as good as these! Mommy keeps the eggs she has drawn hidden in an egg carton in a top secret location -- she is so embarrassed of the ones she tried to make.)


Benji thought Miss Piggy is wearing Royal Purple shoes and gloves. I don't think it's really Royal Purple, butt we think it's Royal Purple enough for our blog post!



Finally, we have one flower that is blooming in our garden! It's February, and we are shocked to see a flower blooming already. Guess it's been such a nice winter so far with hardly any snow, the flower must be confused! The photo doesn't do it justice. The flower is a Royal purple color, but the photo makes it look more of a brighter shade of purple.

And we failed the last part of the assignment for True Color Thursday. We were supposed to take a special garden photo with a special prop that was provided on their blog -- let's just say, by the time Mommy got home from work and got her act together -- it was just too dark outside to attempt the photo. Oh well!

MishMash Monday #3

Playing Bitey Face! I can't even tell where Benji is, he's all a blur!


Oh, there goes Benji!

That sure was a good game of Bitey Face.

Jenga and a Slanket!

We played Jenga today! (Actually, Benji played Jenga.) When Mommy asked who played Jenga without her, we both looked the other way and pleaded the 5th Amendment, and didn't want to admit to anything!

Then we cuddled in Mommy's oldest niece's Slanket. Boy was it comfy! I even pretended like I was a super-hero and wrapped it up like a cape, and pretended like I was flying. All that excitement, made me tired -- like my yawn in the photo.

Goodnight Blogville -- too much excitement for one day!

Chewing on some bones/ Seeing Spots

Here we are just chewing on some of those rawhide type bones! Yummy!

This picture of us was taken after Benji went to the vet!


Benji went to the vet because he got some dark spots on his belly, they appeared out of nowhere the past 3 days or so. Mommy is so worried about him! The vet gave some antibiotic for Benji because the spots appeared so suddenly in case its an infection, butt the vet said the spots might just be normal. Benji just may have grown up enough, that that's the color pigmentation he is going to have. (Mommy was hoping the vet would have had more answers.)

Grandma says they look like liver spots, and it's normal.

I pawsonally think, Benji is part Dalmation, eventhough the paper said he is a purebreed.

We will wait and see if the spots go away. Anyway, we love him no mater if he is spotted or not on his belly. (It will just be another way to tell us apart if he continues to have the pigmentation spotting.)

By the way, Benji is 29 pounds at 6 months! Yep, the nickname "Big Ben" still holds true! The vet doesn't measure how tall we are, so we don't know for sure, butt we think Benji looks taller than me now.

MishMash Monday 2 (Kinda)

MishMash Photo - That's me, Lassie. Mommy got out her cell phone to take pictures, so I had to check it out up close and pawsonal in the picture above!


Ok, it's still Sunday, Mommy hasn't gotten the hang of scheduling posts ahead of time. So, its better we post now rather than later! Mommy actually took some good shots of us -- so we posted the good and bad ones too! By the way, these photos are of us NAKED! Yep, no collars on, we just got baths. (Photos from 2/18/12)

P.S. I think you already guessed. Our pumpkin stuffie kinda pooped himself all over the other stuffies in the laundry machine. Boy was Mommy upset picking up all his pumpkin guts piece by piece.

Benji's Half Year Birthday and the Superbowl ...

1) 1st let me start off by telling you that Grandma is home from the hospital. She is still having nurses and physical therapy visit the house, butt she is doing great!

Benji and I have to keep and eye on Grandma 24/7, so we are being her nurses too!

Mommy's sister texted her the above picture of us working hard taking care of Grandma on Thursday while Mommy was at work.

The phrase: "Working Hard - or - Hardly Working" comes to mind.

Mommy said immediately when she saw the picture she said, my boys are working so hard keeping absolutely still so mom can get some rest and relaxation. Good work boys!

Other people who see the picture think we are sleeping on the job -- WHAT!!!

2. It was Mommy's Birthday on Friday, February 3rd! Happy Birthday Mommy! Her birthday is the day after GroundHog's Day. Not sure if everyone knows about GroundHog's Day or is that just an American thing. Anyway, the Groundhog predicted more winter -- which is ok with us -- cause it's been such a nice winter so far without much snow at all.

There is a movie called "Groundhog's Day" it came out in 1993 that starred Bill Murray. Anyway, Mommy has never seen the whole movie -- she watched part of it -- and the main character keeps reliving Groundhog's Day over and over again. Mommy said that would be horrible to keep reliving Groundhog's Day over and over again -- because her birthday is Feb 3rd , the day after Groundhog's Day -- and she would never get her birthday cake! Mommy isn't sure how the movie ends, but hopefully it finally gets to be Feb 3rd at the end of the movie.

In the photo above, Benji and I gave Mommy one of those fancy "Vera Bradley" bags for her birthday and we put bows on ourselves too. Mommy said Benji and I make great gifts, but she says, the best gift was having her mom back home from the hospital. (Mommy wishes she recorded the look on her sister's face when Mommy said, "Wow, that bag is big enough to fit all of Lassie and Benji's toys" -- Mommy sister's jaw dropped and said "You better not -- do you know how expensive that bag is!")

3. Benji turned 6 months old on February 4th! Happy Half-Year Birthday Benji ! Mommy's oldest niece wrote on a balloon for Benji and Mommy made a Smurfette Balloon for Benji to celebrate! We have a quick video of me and Mommy singing to Benji on his half-year birthday.
