Happy Halloween

We, of course, had to girly it up a little. How could we pass up a free hand-me-down?

She has started sticking her tongue out all the time, it's so funny! I grab it and she smiles

She loves to sit in the tripod position, she can do it for several minutes and then she starts crying (I think because her stomach starts to hurt or something).
She'll lean down like this to lick the sheet then sit back up and smile. She loves this!
She also started grabbing her feet and sucking on her toes, she does it ALL THE TIME
The cutest little thing is sucking her thumb! She just started this and doesn't do it all the time, but I love when she does.

4 months

I can't believe it!
She really likes to sit forward now. If she's ever reclining in something she just tries to pull herself up (like in the swing pictures below also)!

She got part of her arm out of the swaddle one morning, and when I totally unwrapped her, I saw this. You can tell she's been chewing on her hand!

She looked so sweet after church
We put her in the bath with me because she suddenly doesn't like baths in her baby tub anymore, and we thought she just might be cold. She liked it ok. Don't you love this chub?
She loves tissue paper!

It's been 4 weeks since I stopped eating dairy and soy and I think she reacted to peanuts and almonds as well as red peppers (yeah, that sounds weird), so I'm cutting those (and other tree nuts) out for now. Her skin is doing SO much better, it's amazing. There are days when it's all practically clear, and her diaper area has never been this good for this extended amount of time. It's not as hard as I thought it would be, and it's helping me lose weight!

She laughs all the time now, especially when I kiss her face and neck, or her belly. She loves to stand and sit with help. Her favorite books right now are Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See and Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? Her favorite songs include Popcorn Popping, A bushel and a peck, You are my sunshine, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Silent Night. According to the wii fit, she is somewhere between 15 and 15 1/2 lbs.

We will be in California from the 15th-25th and can't wait to spend time with momo!

And, um, her mom.

She really is a little mama's girl already. She refuses to allow Hyrum to put her to sleep which usually just involves bouncing on the exercise ball with a soother (that's a pacifier for you non Canadians) in her mouth. She woke up early from a nap yesterday, so Hyrum went up to try and get her back to sleep (yes, we keep trying). I guess she went back to sleep pretty fast, so he decided to just lay next to her and once he got settled in, she opened her eyes a little and looked at him. Then she gave him a dirty look and started crying. She likes him pretty well most of the rest of the time.

A few days ago, a neighbor came to the door to give me something. We stood in the doorway and talked for a minute while I held Claire facing out. Then this woman turned to Claire and said "Hi" to her. The second she did that, my poor baby burst into hysterical sobs and it took me several minutes to calm her down.

She also doesn't usually like when I leave the room, but will stop crying if I just come back. I don't even have to pick her up most of the time, she just wants to see me.

Things she hates: getting dressed (still), taking naps in public, exuberance (don't try laughing loudly near her, and forget cheering crowds)
Things she loves: baths, being naked, chewing on her hands and other "toys", when I sing to her, reading books, and she LOVES TV, she even figured out how to turn around in her exersaucer so she can see it, and no, we don't let her watch

Hyrum wanted to have Claire facing out in a baby carrier, but it doesn't work in the 2 he has, so he used mine inappropriately.
Then I showed him an adjustable sling we have that I've just never used, much better
