Halloween 2010

I love Halloween.  I really do. (Reminder to self take down Halloween deco-I am a little bit white trash but to exchange Halloween decorations for Christmas is pushing my WT quota).  I have been totally lame this year though.  Anyway, at one time I had a huge aversion to buying costumes.  This was until my friend Sharidi made me realize it is just another really cool outfit that your kids can wear all year long.  It is especially awesome in March when your daughter is still wearing the red power ranger suit( that is just a tad bit small and giving her massive wedgies) to the bank and I don't really care.  Like I said, a great outfit.  This year I really tried to get her to wear a girl superhero costume.Unfortunately they all came with skirts instead of pants and it wasn't a fight I wanted to have.  So Batman she was.
The boys were playing a playoff game at Highland and so Malia was lucky and stayed at Aunt Maren's for the weekend.  She loves Skyler.  He is like a younger brother rather than a cousin.
 Halloween Karate Chops
Anya hates me.  Every time she sees me she breaks out in tears.  She is so stinking cute.  Especially as a butterfly.
Maren, Steve, and the kids also cut out jack-o-lanterns.
They kept commenting that it felt like snot.  Yummy.  Malia has only gone trick-or-treating one other time because we have always had football games.  Last year she could have gone but she had the swine flu.  Instead we dressed her like a doctor, put a mask on her and went to another football game.  Lucky us!!!

Tired

Do you ever feel like this?  I do all the time.  Especially today.  I get crazy stretches of insomnia.  Robbie says it is stress and maybe it is because I go to bed fine at about 10 and then I am up at 1 thinking immediately of all the stuff I have to do.  Who I need to talk to, what I have to prepare, how angry I am at some stupid things in my life.  I almost always can go back to sleep once I calm my mind down.  Sometimes it takes longer than other times.  I was actually back in bed at about 5:30am.  I was just going to rest for a minute because I go workout at 6.  Breckin came in and woke me up at 7:30.  He has to be at school at 7:35.  We were a little late.

My baby is 8

So Malia turned 8 on August 26.  I could have sworn I just had her.  At least I think I did because I am still carrying the baby fat.Whoops, Maybe not from her.   Anyway!!  She loves Justin Beiber and got his shirt and CD.  The three boys loved it so much.  We played it over and over.  At least I think the screams in the back seat were from joy and not agony because they all hate him.
I LOVE YOU JUSTIN
The train at Hogle Zoo is a jip.  5 minutes and it was over.  Look how
cute all my boys are

Malia and Breckin
Malia loves animals and she loved going to the Zoo
Us on the awesome train
We love Rylee
Hogle Zoo 2010 for Malia's birthday
Malia was super brave.  She also got her ears pierced for her birthday.  They are
so cute.
Britton gave her tattoos and a tek deck.  She was in heaven
I LOVE YOU JUSTIN
Malia wanted a dog so badly for her birthday and I just can't do it especially now that I am working.  The poor girl has more stuffed dogs than you can image.  So it was a trip to the Hogle zoo instead of the dog.  Sad trade off especially if you have been on that train that they have.  SAD.  She also invited Rylee.  He is her other brother.  After the zoo we took Breckin to his football game at Copper Hills and then went and got Malia's ears pierced
This is Malia with our well endowed ear piercer.  She was very good at her job and Malia came through it with only minor tears.
She is turning into such a little lady.  I love her

Malia's Baptism

Malia was Baptized on September 4, 2010 at the North Stake Center in Brigham City.  Britton baptized her and Robbie Confirmed her.  It was a really great day. Malia asked Brit if he would baptize her and he did a great job and I was so proud of him.

The Family in the really bright sun
Atter the baptism we had a big family party at the park next to the house.  Malia really has great family and wonderful friends.  I am so thankful for her.  She is such an added blessing to our lives.  I am so proud that she made the choice to do this now.

Fair Burgers

So Last week was the Box Elder Fair and on Sat. we decided to go up and hang out with friends and get a fair burger.  Our friends run dairy farms and they were also showing their cows.  They set up all their chairs in the same spot every year next to the dairy cows.  Robbie and I go over and sit down and there is an overwhelming scent of manure.  I asked Jenny about it and she said they don't even smell it anymore. She can only smell the chickens and pigs next door. Robbie says it smells like coming home(his dad is a dairy farmer)and I just think it stinks, BAD!!  Anyway, I am sitting around all these cows eating a really juicy, yummy hamburger thinking how wrong this all is.  But the burger was still good.  It could have used some bacon.

Obituary
David Holbrook Hatch, 99
David Holbrook Hatch, 99, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at The Gables Assisted Living in Blackfoot, Idaho.
David was the last surviving child of Perry O Hatch and Lucy Alice Holbrook Hatch. He was born September 4, 1910 at Clawson, Idaho. He was raised in Teton Valley at a time when there was one car in the valley and only one radio. When only 6 years old his mother passed away and his siblings were split up and sent to grandparents to live. He stayed with his dad in Tetonia. The following year after his mother's death he contracted polio. He often said he owed his life and his regained ability to walk to a dedicated chiropractic doctor who made daily and weekly trips to his home. He left home when just a teenager to find work. He worked on ranches in Montana helping with lambing, he worked in the wheat fields of Pullman, Washington, he worked for the Red River Lumber company in California, he worked as a baker for Safeway in Omaha, and as a fireman at the airbase in Pocatello during WWII. He finally worked for the Atomic Energy Commission (INL) as a fireman and retired from there in 1970.
On October 2, 1934, he married Priscilla England of Moreland in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they reared 4 girls and 1 boy on a farm on Rich Lane in Blackfoot, Idaho. He always loved working on his farm. In fact, he said he never worked a day in his life, because he always loved what he did. He loved to read and had a truly remarkable memory. Even up until the end, he entertained his children and grandchildren with stories from the past and with poetry he had memorized. Life often dealt him some difficult cards to play, but he never lost his sense of humor nor his love of life. He often expressed how lucky and blessed he had been and up until January of this year, he lived by himself in the home he and Priscilla had built. Health conditions made it necessary for David to move to The Gables, where he learned, you are never too old to learn to play Bingo.
He is survived by his five children; Loah (Don) Elison of Blackfoot, Marilyn (Reid) Worlton, of Grand Junction, Colorado, LaDonna (Chase) Anderson of West Cliffe, Colorado, Mavis (Phillip) Willey of Pocatello and Brent (Diantha) Hatch of Blackfoot. Besides his five children, he leaves a posterity of twenty six grandchildren, sixty four great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Priscilla, his parents, brothers, Laurence, Joe, Eldon, Mark and Burt Hatch and a sister, Mary Holbrook.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Wapello 2ndWard LDS Chapel with Bishop Jim St. John conducting.

The family will meet with friends and family from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot. The family would like to thank the caring staff at The Gables in Blackfoot and Hands of Hope Hospice for the kind and loving way they attended to our Dad.

I got him a nice shirt, 40 candy bars and a box of chocolates. He loves chocolate. I also made him his favorite chocolate pies..Malia was sure Robbie was going to just love his camo Du rag. She was right. HE loves it.
After opening presents, Robbie spent the next 30min. fighting off the boys. They were trying for the 40 spankings. They had to have gotten in at least 30 good ones.
