Girls (and kids) night out

My mom, Rindy, and I decided that since the boys were going to priesthood we would have a fun night just the girls and small children. We went to noodles for dinner which was packed. Then we took the kids to the candy store to pick some candy. They filled their little bags and thought it was so neat. We walked over to the fountain and they ate their candy and watched the fountain for a few minutes. They sure loved the water.

Happy 60th Birthday Dad

We decided that since my dad was turning the big 60 that we needed to have a fun get together. I called around and made a reservation at Red Robin and invited all of my siblings and my dad's siblings and mom for a surprise party. He wasn't too surprised because Robert accidentally spilled the beans that we were going to dinner but he was surprised at who came. I think he liked it. Glad we got to celebrate together.

Vintage White

Blaine and I went to the Vintage white antique sale at the state fair grounds. We went with Robert, Ryan, Alta, Mom and Dad. It was fun and I got some cool treasures for my house. I got a beautiful mirror and table for my entryway. The dealer got it in New Delhi India. I got an old locker for tuckers room and some old Disney vinyls that I am going to frame and hang in the kids rooms. Robert got a cool theater light. Here is the cool table and mirror I got.

Messy rooms

Last weekend I got so tired of the boys not putting away there clothes right that they had to pull out everything and redo it. Sawyer took it a step further and decided to put tags on his drawers. They made me smile and laugh. Apparently we need to work on spelling the word shirt.

Magnificent 7

The other night Blaine and I went on a date. We went to a little taste of Britain in Layton and got some really tasty fish and chips. Then we went to the new Magnificent 7 movie. It was a good, entertaining movie. Blaine and I like a good western. It was a fun and much needed night out.

Ward Carnival

We went to the ward carnival and the kids had a fun time. There were bouncy houses, games, and a train ride. Not to mention food and treats. This is the only picture I got at the carnival because it was a mad house but Liam got his face painted and got a pokemon ball.

Grasslands Diorama

For school Sawyer had to make a habitat diorama. He picked the grasslands so we decided to do Devil's Tower National Park. I think it turned out pretty good. Buffalo chips and all.

Kids are funny

I got to Sawyer and Aiden's school the other day and a black family was getting out of a car in the parking lot. Sawyer said, "there is Kuaku. He is a foreign student. I think he is like from Alaska or something."

Liam saw me preparing my lunch for grandmas. I was cutting up yellow zucchini's. Liam said that he didn't want any of that yellow broccoli.

Aiden gets very carried away when playing outside and values his recess time. He had been holding it to long so he could play and has peed his pants at school. I told him he could not pee his pants and needed to go inside. The other day he waited to long and panicked because he didn't want to pee his pants. So he ran over to the corner of the field and peed. another student saw and told on him. We told him not to pee at school and that he needs to quite holding it so long.
