Beautiful rainbow.

We have had quite a bit of rain the last three days. After a good rain storm today we had this beautiful rainbow out in the front of our house. I was in the restroom and Sawyer came running upstairs and said, "mom, did you see the rainbow"? I said, "No, I am in the bathroom Sawyer". Not two seconds after that he asked again. "Do you see it now". "No Sawyer, I can't see through the door. I don't have x-ray vision". He said, "I wish you did". Ha ha! He is a weirdo.

Here is the picture I captured with the camera. It was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen and it was a full rainbow with a second one above.

One more Sawyerism. Later that night we were watching Willow as part of our family night and Sawyer says, "Look Mom, a mankini"? I said, "a what"? He said, "the tall people. They are called mankinis". I told him that they were called Daikinies. Ha ha!

The rest of our Saturday.

After the games got over I loaded up the kids and we headed up to my parents home. I was suppose to drop them off and then head to Salt Lake for the Women's conference with Angie. She got baptized in June and was so excited to go but doesn't have a lot of friends that are members. The weather was horrible and the traffic was so bad that I didn't make it to salt lake. So I headed back to my parents and hung out there with my mom, dad, and kids. They played with the Geo tracks trains, and played Uncle Roberts new Disney infinity 2.0 game. We stayed the night played a little in the morning and then stopped by Rindy's house to see her new house. It is really nice. I am excited for them. Gabe told me he made a friend and he was so happy. That made me happy. It was a crazy, busy, tiring weekend but a fun one. Every weekend till October are going to have something going on too. It will be a crazy month.

Here are the kids with Grandma and each other playing with the trains.

Soccer and football game 4

Sawyer had his fourth game today and he did really good. It was raining like crazy on Saturday but he played hard and got 5 goals. Even with his five goals his team still lost. But he did really good. So glad he tried really hard this weekend.

Tucker had his fourth game too. He did really well and got to play quarterback some of the time. He got soaked during his game. Once his game started it was raining even harder. He was freezing after the game finished. His team won their game.

Sharing a bed.

Aiden and Liam share a room and I went to check on them before I went to bed the other night and this is what I saw.

They were sleeping together in the same bed. It was so cute. It looked a little on the uncomfortable side and I am not sure how Liam didn't fall off but they sure love each other and like to be around each other.

First parent teacher confrence.

We had back to school night tonight. It went pretty well with the teachers. Tucker is doing awesome in all of his subjects. He is above where he is suppose to be on everything. He is even above where he is suppose to be by year end. The only problem he has is that he is a talker. Anyone who knows Tucker knows he loves to talk and be social. He has talked from day one.

Sawyer is doing ok. His math and spelling are awesome. He struggles with his reading and handwriting though and we work on it every day. He gets very discouraged when he doesn't get it right. He is a sensitive kid and doesn't like to disappoint anyone. We need to keep working on his reading and his self-esteem and he will be just fine. I want reading to be fun for him. Once it clicks he will just take off I know it. He is a smart boy. He wants to read big kid books really badly. He will get there.

Picking grapes at Great Grandpa Steed's house.

The boys got the chance to go and visit their great grandpa and grandma tonight. We made it our family night activity. They picked grapes, helped pick up pears that had fallen from the tree and ran around enjoying my grandparents beautiful backyard. When we were all finished the boys got cookies and root beer. The loved every second of it. They so enjoy being around great grandpa and grandma. So do I. It was fun to watch them play and have a good time together.

Here they are picking grapes.

Here is Tucker inside the vines hunting for some more grapes.

Aiden was just in awe of the stream at the bottom of the yard. He came running over after he discovered it and said, "you have to come see this. Where is the water going?" So Cute.

Here are the kiddos picking up the pears and Sawyer trying to make a basket with the pears into the bucket.

Here they are playing in the yard having a great time!

Here are some pictures of their backyard. I love their yard and I needed some pictures of it. I always loved playing in their backyard. I remember loving to put my bare feet in the stream. It always felt like I was stepping into a fairytale when I went into the yard with all the trees and the stream. It still makes me feel like a kid when I go there. Lots of wonderful memories.

Silly Liam.

Liam is such a funny guy. He can be feisty a lot of the time but he is really funny. Lately he has been knocking on our closet door and saying, Elsa, Elsa, Hello? It makes me laugh.

He also likes to dance to the hot dog song from the mickey mouse club house show. He has a specific dance he does. We recorded him doing his dance today. It is so cute. I love to watch him grow and show his personality.

Date night.

Blaine and I went on a date last night for the first time in quite awhile. I didn't end up going up as well as we had hoped. Ha ha! We didn't end up leaving until 8 because Tucker had football practice. We wanted to try the Chinese place in stansbury. We got there about 8:30 and found out they closed at 9. For Friday night that is pretty early but we just ate really fast. Then we had our babysitter until 10 and had planned on eating at a sit down restaurant for little longer than 30 minutes. So what do you do in Tooele....well you walk through Wal-mart because that is pretty much all there at least with a hour time frame. We got home and watched a couple movies we had rented. We watched God is not Dead and Draft Day with some movie treats. we really liked both. Good movies. It was nice to have some time together even if it was a simple date.

Soccer and football game 4.

Sawyer played pretty well today. He has been a little on the timid side. He we so aggressive last year but he kind of stays in the back of the crowd right now. I told he we need to start practicing at home. He did score a goal today though. It was one of funniest things I have seen. He came up the field to about 3/4 from his goal and kicked it pretty hard and it did this huge slow rainbow arch kick thing (terrible description I know). It landed midfield. He then ran and kicked it again the same way. It landed about a foot from the goal and very slowly rolled in. The other team almost got to it. It was so funny. I wish I had video taped it.

Tucker's team did really well today. They won 33-12. Both offense and defense were on their game. Tucker played quarter back for the first half. He threw one interception and one touch down pass and got some throwing yards. He did really well on defense too. He almost had an interception and he got a lot of flags. Tucker tries really hard. I am so proud of my boys.
