More of My Girls

I just love the look on her face.

Kayla's church group voted Kayli "The World's Best Kid Artist".

They each got voted something awesome.  You can see it's a talented group of girls.  I'm a little partial to the one in the photo.

Hands-free Donut Eating

And a cute candy bouquet from an even cuter neighbor friend who found out about a bad day Kayli was having.  We seriously live in the best neighborhood.

Busting Through Gender Stereotypes

Bryce had a "wear purple day" at school.

I have wanted to put mascara on these eyelashes since this boy was about 2-months old.

He finally asked me to.

So, I happily complied.  Can you believe those eyes?

Believe it, or not, she actually was really happy with this pose.

Weekend Warriors

Blake and his brothers and dad gave up a Saturday to help take the roof off their aunt's house.  One of the reasons I love him.

Fortunately, he still found time to golf.  This time with some coworkers.

This guy is obsessed with building rockets and guns.  This is a carrot rocket.

We took Bryce to a football game and then he was hooked and wanted to go the rest of the season.

Every good photo deserves an expert photobomber in the background. :)

Another rocket.  I think.

The kids decided to do my hair.

General Conference weekend is my favorite!  The kids played Conference Bingo while building skeletons out of the fun, seasonal skeleton style Cheetos.  While their Anatomy Geek mom told them all of the inaccuracies in the bones.

Not only did we get to enjoy BYU winning again, but there was this beautiful sunset.

I love sunsets!

Scaring Season Begins

This isn't really scary.  It was Crazy Hair Day at school.  Blake was in charge, so I can't say if it was Crazy Sock Day too, or if he did that on his own.

This also happened on Dad's watch.  That's my baby girl behind that mask...

I think Bryce actually makes this face on his own.

This guy.

Thankfully, Bryce doesn't ever make this face.

Blake has been on a sushi kick.  And likes to bring home photos for me.  And yes, they fit right in with the Scary Post.

Studying for my first Anatomy exam!

And then Blake and I had a date night at the local amusement park--Halloween-ified.  The zombies even had special contacts in making their eyes Walking Dead creepy.

I had my eyes closed and my fingernails digging into Blake's sides for the majority of this.  Seriously freaky!  And I couldn't even console myself with the knowledge that none of them could touch me because they broke the rules and one zombie doctor touched me while telling me he was going to eat me.

Good times!

State Fair Winning

My kids are finally figuring out how to pose in these cutout thingies.  Kinda makes me a little sad.

This didn't make me sad at all.  It made me super duper proud.  Kayli submitted one of her sketches to the art exhibit.

I take it back.  She doesn't quite get it.  Look at that adorable little face hiding down there!

We watched the gator wrangling show.  Not quite as impressive as the Everglades in Florida, but still--he is holding a gator's mouth between his chin and his chest.

These cousins had a great night running around and watching all the fair fun.  Especially when Blake pointed out the pooping goat.  That was my sister's favorite moment.

Speaking of my sister--she moved shortly after so this was kind of our last hangout.  I'm still really sad about it, so let's just focus on this photo of her and me and our mom.  Can you tell we're related?

Curly Lu

Did you ever see that movie?  Curly Sue?  I loved it.

And I always wanted a curly-haired baby.

I didn't really get one.

But I can make one!

Isn't she a cute little curly haired baby?!

She was more than happy to have me take a bazillion photos of it.

And then she fell asleep like this one night.  It's hard being the baby.

And then there was this one night that I forgot to take the bike rack off of the back of my van, so our garage door didn't close when I tried to close it.  But I didn't realize that.  And our neighbors tried to get a hold of us to let us know, but we had already turned off our phones and gone to sleep for the night.  When I woke up in the morning I saw all their messages, including the one where the husband, who is a police officer, parked his patrol car in front of our house to help deter any would-be troublemakers tempted to take advantage of the open access to our home.  We're so grateful for our amazing neighbors!

Just Your Typical Late Summer Saturday

A Daddy-Daughter camp out for these three.

Hanging outside the tent.

I went for a long run in the morning but had to hurry back to get Bryce to his soccer game.  I'm pretty sure he's #3.  His couch was cute and sat them down for these team pep talks.

Trey's soccer team.  See how determined he looks?  As he runs right past the ball?  That pretty much sums up his season.  A lot of effort in, but not a lot of interaction with the ball.  But he love love loved it, so it was time well spent.

Early morning soccer kind of wore my boys out.

This girl too.  Good thing we had a long drive to Grandma's house to catch up on some rest.

Grandma and Grandpa were watching the kids so we could do this.

BYU's winning streak continued!  Go Cougs!

Growing Up

She won't stop, no matter how many times I ask her to.  So, I'm trying to just embrace it and appreciate every moment.

First day of preschool.  Even with a rain gutter spout as her background, she is adorable.

And a friend of ours offered to coach a little soccer team for the kids in the neighborhood her age.  You can almost feel how excited she was in this pic.

And I thought she looked pretty adorable in her soccer getup.

Her team and her awesome coach.

When you're kind and brave enough to coach a group of three-year olds, it comes in really handy to have a sandbox in your backyard.  A huge thanks to my friend for making Lanaya feel so grown up and special by being on a soccer team just like her big brothers and sister!
