Halloween 2015

This year for Halloween SLC decided to make her own costume and it turned out super cute! CC was excited to find his for $2 at a thrift store and despite looking at several stores SH wore one from years past but with new accessories. A pirate must have a sword, eyepatch and earring  to be legit ;)
SLC assisted me most of the day at a newborn photography session and then as a family we met up with some friends of ours (the Engs) for homemade donuts, pizza and trick or treating. It was a fun night with lots of laughs and lots of candy!

Fall Festival

Today Scott and I took the kids to the Fall Festival at West End Creamery. It was an awesome day that included a tractor pull ride (hay ride without the hay haha), a corn maze, pillow jump and various other outdoor games. And don't forget the ice cream too!!!

The kids kept going back to this tether ball game. They loved it...accept for CC who kept getting beat which comes with being the shortest!

The rubber duck races were pretty cute!

There was a little reading shed set up that looked remarkably clean...I think kids would rather be doing the exciting outdoor games in this situation than sitting to read a book. SH stopped for a second to check it out but we didn't stay

These fun "tractors" were a hit!

Tunnel of pumpkins...

Face painting! The boys got monkeys and SLC a giraffe. Her favorite animal

Boston-August 12th 2015

The kids loved Boston Chilldrens museum! They had some guys stationed outside for the kids to try fishing in the water. There are so many little rooms that they kids didn't get to do them all. Their favorite was this vertical maze. They love climbing through it and relaxing in the different crannies.

I let SLC take my phone into the maze with her and she came back with a ton of silly inside photos:

The golf ball room....I bought a new (used) camera the morning we went to Boston so I was having a great time getting it all figured out.

The kids were quite proud to engineer this wall where they pretended to make a house out of it.

We walked over to the Lobster Pound for lunch and then later walked over to the New England aquarium to watch the seals outside.

My sister and I outside the children's museum with the Boston Tea Party museum behind us. This is where they had the fishing set up for the kids.

Outside the aquarium we loved watching these hilarious guys!

Had to stop at 7-eleven as a motivator for the kiddos to keep walking around Boston. They were pretty excited to get Sour Patch Watermelon slushies

Lake day- August 13th 2015

Lake day! We took Aunt Roenna to Lincoln Wood lake for swimming and playing in the sand. SH had brought along his fishing pole and had tried to do a little fishing along with CC but only successfully caught a tree branch. Scott met us here after he got off work and tried again with him but he only ended up loosing the whole line in a tree! On our way home we went out to eat and got ice cream as well!

Doggie portrait session- Aug 18th 2015

I had the unique opportunity to do a dog portrait session for a lady in our stake. I served with her at Young Women camp this past year and she told me about her dog Roxie that while at camp was diagnosed with a tumor. She wanted some photos of when she was still healthy, happy and active so I took the kids out to her lake side cottage to swim and kayak while photographing Roxie play. The kids thew a ball for her two hours straight into the lake and she'd chase after it. She would have kept going too if we didn't have to leave! If feels really good to be able to use my talent to help a friend have some great memories of her sweet sweet dog.

Jumping, movies and skating- August 14th 2015

This was a big day for us this summer! We took aunt Roenna and went to Sky Zone for indoor trampoline fun, lunch, the movie "Home" at the cheap theater and then roller skating! By the end of roller skating they all were pretty tired!!!

We started first with Sky Zone and you can see how tired SH was just from how much jumping they do there!!

SLC in the foam pit!

The boys love the dodgeball court
