Two is Better than One

I feel like Crewber's gotten a lot of blog posts just about him lately, which tends to happen in your 1st year of life. In case you forgot, we do have another child. A very cute, crazy, energetic, hilarious, adorable child. Her name is Macey. We love her, like a lot. So this post is All about Macey.
This little lady is a pint-sized ball of energy. She goes and goes, and goes, all day. Except when she is watching You tube or Cars (which is the current movie of the week). I try to limit her You tube time, but man it's nice when I need to actually get something accomplished, I just hit play on the queue and those "5 little ducks" suck her right in. It's probably a problem, and I should probably ween her off, but she gets really mad when she can't watch her "quack quack quack".
Anywaaayy.... She's at such a FUN age, truly, Macey has some serious Personality!! even with the not-so-fun side of the terrible twos, she keeps up laughing and wishing we could borrow some of her energy most of the day.
I put her to bed one night and she saw 2 Happies (pacifiers are known as a Happy in our house) picked them up, looked at them wondering what on earth she was gonna do with 2 of them, but soon came to the obvious solution. She thought it was the funniest thing ever and was quite proud. She even, willingly, let me take her picture, something that she usually detests.

This shot cracks me up. Such a goof.

Ok, so this next picture is a little weird, I will admit, and I promise it only happened once because it was SO funny and I really wanted a picture. I was getting ready to nurse Crew when all of the sudden Macey takes off her little jacket, sits on the couch next to me, pulls up her shirt and repeatedly says "I wanna feed baby!" It took us a second to comprehend what she was getting at, but then it clicked and we about died laughing. So, we went ahead and gave her a shot at it. Crew wasn't to keen on the idea and it didn't last more than a second or 2, don't worry, there was no actual suckage or even skin contact, so hopefully they wont feel too weird when this picture resurfaces in the future. She's asked to feed him again, and even tried to feed my friend's baby, but I think/hope this little phase of curiosity is over.
Here are some more things that we Love about our little Macey Boo:
  • She sings NON STOP! And dances along with it as well. She probably spends more of the day singing than not. Some of her favorite songs are: "Rinkle Tinkle Little Star/Moon/Cloud", "Old McDonald (she, for whatever reason, chose this to be the song of choice on our recent Cali trip and sang it no less than 100 times, over and over and over again), I Love to See the Temple, Families Can Be Together Forever, Bingo, Jingle Bells, Abcdefg, Wheels on the Bus,
  • She loves to "read" books, she'll sit and read her books out loud, all the time. No idea what she's saying, but she likes it. She loves to read to Crew. She also will help us read her books and actually has "The Going to Bed Book" memorized and recites it for us every night before bed.
  • She has no concept of what meal is eaten when. She wakes up each morning and comes into our room and wakes us up by saying " I want Luuunnnccchhh!" Around lunch time she starts asking to eat dinner, or when I ask her what she wants for lunch, she'll think for a few seconds then respond "Dinner" or visa versa for dinner. Breakfast is still not in the mix, but she does eat at least 2 breakfasts a day.
  • She adores Crew and loves having a baby to help take care of. She is so sweet with him, and always helps me turn on his fan and say night night when it's nap time, or to get him a toy to play with. They are great together, so long as Crew doesn't touch one of her toys. Then the tables turn. We're working on the whole sharing bit. It's a work in progress.
  • She loves the ideas of dogs, but if they come near her, she is TERRIFIED! It could be a Saint Bernard or a chihuahua (and she's been around both) she freaks out, but then constantly asks to see them. Whatever. She doesn't, however, have a problem with cats, which are bigger then some of the dogs she's seen. Go figure.
  • She loves having her faces "squished" and makes a pretty darn good squishy face, and loves giving me and Crew squishy faces.
  • She's really into talking on the phone. Again, no idea what she's saying, minus the "hello" and "ok bye, see you later" part, but she'll walk around with a phone to her ear like she is a 16 yr old talking to her bff
  • She has a love for all things transportation. Helicopters, airplanes, trains, big trucks, garbage trucks, RV's, motorcycles.
  • Whenever we're getting in the car she tells me " I wanna drive" I keep telling her she can drive when she's 16, but she hasn't given up yet.
  • She has the best/cutest laugh you've ever heard. I'm not lying. It's hilarious.
  • She's really starting to get into the whole "princess" thing, she loves dressing up, eating on her princess plates
  • She has an opinion, a very strong one about most things. Maybe it has something to do with being 2 1/2??? And when she wants something, she wants it NOW! And don't try to give her regular yogurt when she wants "this" yogurt. She's very specific when she asks for things, unfortunately we don't know what "this" blank is a lot of the time and keep guessing what the right "this" blank is till either she's had enough and throws a fit or we get it right. wheww. We're working hard at asking nicely for things and our manners.
  • She's still tiny. Getting a little taller, she is wearing size 18 month pants now! But we love that's she's little and we can still carry/hold her like nothing

This girl makes our world go round. I can't imagine life without her, it would be so dull. She is such a beautiful little spirit and I love being her mom.
