Summer Campfires

Summer is a fun time to hang out by the campfire. We usually roast hot dogs, but after 6 times of hot dogs we were kind of done so we did up some yummy hobo dinners! Mmmmm. The kids made sure to have their blankets and stuffed animals and all sorts of fun stuff for the evening. They took some hikes and explored while dinner was cooking.

Keeley was extra prepared.
Can you tell how thrilled Keeley is with Jarrin. haha
Brandon, Shauna's oldest was a great help with keeping Sawyer out of trouble. He was so good, Sawyer got really irritated because he couldn't get away with anything!
Our great friend, Shauna and her son Derek.

The kids thought it was funny to have their pictures taken with their tongues sticking out and Sawyer wanted to join the fun.

Finally getting to enjoy the hobo dinners. They were delicious!! can't wait to make one last hobo before we have to have our fall fires indoors.
Jarrin forgot how to sit in his chair! hehe
Another great friend, April, started off our marshmallow roasting.

I love when the picture goes off and I am talking! hahaha! Oh well Sawyer is adorable, and HEY I am in a picture for once!
This is my newest food invention, graham cracker marshmallow and a peanut butter cup! Mmmm.
A great time is had by all when we have a campfire! It's a great place to visit and play and make and keep new friendships alive! Go to  love summer!! Now to start soup nights inside! Brr it's getting cold outside!

Learning

So we began Sawyer on his journey to start swimming or at least playing in the water without someone holding him the WHOLE time. He loved to hold on and kick around the small swimming area. Keeley and Jarrin, of course, had to "help" so he got some good pushes and was thrilled when he could figure out how to move around all by himself.

Helper

Sawyer is a HUGE helper when making cake and frosting. He has discovered the joys of hanging out in the Kitchen when I am cooking and taste testing like Daddy or cleaning up a mess when he makes one, even if it is on the counter. Caught a picture of his help and a fun refection to boot!

Keeley's Party

So Keeley decided she wanted a Tinkerbell cake. So that's what she got. A Tinkerbell, fairytopia land. I was so excited too when I was buying the supplies because Micheal's had the perfect candle and edible glitter to use on the water to make it sparkle! Target also had 1 box left with the perfect size Tinkerbell and friends in it for the top. I love when things work out so perfect. I also tried to make lilies for the first time. That was interesting.hahaha.

We celebrated her Birthday at a Splash pad/park. I LOVE the cleanup involved! Hardly anything. There were lots of smiles and laughter.

Even some that almost lost their pants!

We all ate some cake......

then watched her open up her presents. It was GREAT!! She got a ton of art supplies, jammies and a marshmallow maker. Thanks to all who came!! It was great!

All her party girls!! So cute!!!
Can't wait till next year!!

Keeley's Birthday!!

On Keeley's Birthday went celebrated at the neighbors, Nana and Papa Brown. Nana made an amazing and yummy dinner that was Keeley's choice,Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. Then she opened up her presents. She got a stuffed animal (kitty) from Neema and some $ towards her Wii, Nana bought a super cute shirt, pants and a hello kitty dress, which were all super cute, and they also took her out to lunch and let her be spoiled at Toys R Us where she also got some Playmobile toys PLUS $ towards her Wii also. Auntie Pat and Uncle Denis in England also sent her $ which she wants to put toward the Wii also. She was SO happy and thankful! THANK YOU TO ALL THE FAMILY!!

Sawyer didn't want to smile for the camera! Sweet lil grump :D
She also received a new book from Nana's friend Thelma and Jerry!! She loves it also!
Hello Kitty dress....
I made the outfit. I didn't like the loose top with the skirt so I fixed it....
I had seen a tutorial on shirring a few months back and was so excited to try it. This was the perfect thing for it! So she now has a better fit for the full skirt that I made to go with it! Don't mind the fact that she has the shirt on backwards! hahaha! I just noticed it!
This is the other dress that I made. It's a wrap dress(fake wrap) It's my new favorite pattern!!

On their Birthdays they get a Birthday pie. The master cake comes out for the parties. She picked blackberry pie so that's what she got. Okay so she originally picked cherry pie. We picked some cherries and found that they ALL had worms in them so instead of a cherry-worm pie, I asked if she wanted to pick something else. Hahaha!
Who needs a fork! Those things are too much work. Sawyer prefers his hands to eat with about 1/4 of the time. Kids will be kids.
We enjoyed the pie on the deck and Sawyer got to see the airplanes and helicopters fly by. He always thinks that's SO awesome!
Sawyer trying REALLY hard to hold back his curiosity with the propane stove that, thankfully, was unhooked.
Strainers are fun also. We were chatting and he came out with it on his head.
I love the entertainment that little kids provide!!!

Yes, he bonked his head again!! Poor lil' guy has more bangs and bruises than either of the other 2 ever had.
It was a fun day!!
