Hangin' Out with Friends

Well ever year, at least once, all the friends I grew up with try to get together to catch up and see each others new additions and just be with each other. We got to do that yesterday and boy was is fun! There were so many kids! It's crazy to see were we have all gone in the last 10 years! It's even crazier to see each other with so many kids!! I had such a great time and so did Jarrin and Keeley. There were so many playmates their age there! It was even more fun (hahaha) trying to get a picture with all of the kids! Surprisingly it went well enough to get quite a few shots in! So I had to post up some of the pictures so anyone that didn't get any can copy them from the blog so they have a copy.

This was a cute shot of Jarrin and Sawyer. He was so happy to hold his brother!

This is part of the gang! Kara, Jessie, Heather, Rachel, Shane and I. We always hung out together and have some great memories!!
The kids just couldn't stand being out of the picture! :) Some were so upset that they weren't included that we decided to let the kids jump in! Melissa, Shane's wife, was so great! She took the pictures for us!
This was a cute shot of Elise, Shane's daughter.
All of the kids together!! Wow, and that's just with the 6 of us! Crazy!!

Poor Elise was so not okay with sitting there for any amount of time for pictures! She had to do some major comforting after!! It was still cute!! This one's for Shane and Melissa!
Kara was playing with my camera and took this shot of Shane .
Mike what a great guy! Took a small baby load off Jessie and put sweet Aubrey to sleep and held her most of the time!
This was not quite in focus, it was such a quick shot just playing around but she looks so pretty! This is Emily, Kara's daughter.
Oh Logan! What a character! But don't tell him that, he just gives ya a stink eye and tells you "no I'm not!" Cute as ever though!
This is Andrew, Kara's son, we were watching him to make sure he didn't go through the railing! Handsome little dude!
I'm excited for the next time we get together! It's so nice keeping in touch with one another! It's also fun to see how all the kids are growing up!

Monday

Happy 4TH Birthday Keeley Brown

Our little girl is growing up!! 4 years old now and soon off to Kindergarten!! Wow does time fly! Our Keeley Lynn has been such a joy to have in our family! We love her so very much! She brings so much happiness and laughter to us always!! There is never a dull moment with her around! Always moving, exploring and also quick to give hugs and kisses and tell us that we are beautiful or handsome! Especially if she's stalling her inevitable bedtime!! She also a fighter, but not always in a bad way! She will tell you (no matter who you are) if you say or do something that is not allowed! She stands up for what's right and I hope she always will! She's a great big sister to Sawyer and is always wiling to help! She is also very passionate about her affection for him ( which makes him feel like Elmira from Loney Tones is after him!) and that's no exaggeration!! She is also a great sister to Jarrin, always willing to help him when he needs it and is always ready and excited to play! They have there moments though, but what bro and sis don't!! :) So I have some pictures to share!

I loved the sunset of her! She looked so cute with her big smile!! We do the fancy cakes for the Birthday Party so Sariah and I made a pie. We just grabbed whatever sounded good in it and put it together! It was one of the best pies ever! It was a Nilla Wafer pie crust and layer of peanut butter then bananas, vanilla ice cream, whip cream chocolate crumbs and then topped it off with Carmel!! So bad for you...but it was so good!
This was Keeley at 7 days old at the Temple for Gailyn and Nicks wedding! She looks so peaceful!
What can I say! She's creative! She wanted to take her cup with her and that's a little impossible when all you can do is crawl! I love it!!
This is one of her super funny pictures ! She loved to just throw things on and call it good! Her bed head, angel wings, turkey feather and jarrin's boots were just as good as pants, shirt and her own shoes I guess! We laughed so hard! What a thrashed looking angel!
Keeley got a kids camera for her Birthday! Nana and Papa took her out for her Birthday lunch and her Toys R Us trip to pick out some toys! I think it''s become a tradition for them now!!
She was sooo happy to go! The kids like the undivided attention thy get with the one on one with them! Can't blame them since there is a baby on us most of the day!!
She got a Cow girl hat from Jarrin and he just threw it on her head. Apparently she was amused! It was a cute picture though!!
Ohhhh Barbie here we come! She loves her Princess movies and she really wanted a princess fairy doll! So I decided ....Bratz or Barbie???....I chose the less trashy one! I can't stand the Bratz! They are never allowed into our home! What awful things to let kids play with!
She loves her books!! Her Nana's friend always gets the kids books for their Birthday! They are always great books that become a quick favorite with them!!

We are blessed to have Keeley and are so glad to be able to spend many more Birthdays with her!! WE LOVE YOU KEELEY!!!!!

Eye got it figured out!

Well after the back and forth to the doctor's and the Chiropractor, we finally found a solution to the sad eye on the left side. It wasn't as noticeable to me before I took the last set of pictures of the kids. It was then I realized how much less his left eye opened up. So we ended up taking him to a Naturopath who happened to be the missing link. He gave us some things for him to take and we went to his wife who is also a naturopath who took a whole different course after school to learn cranio-sacral therapy. It was a whole new alternative healing way that I was not to familiar with. Brad was and he said it was really powerful and the nice thing with most alternative medicine is that if it's not going to do anything to help at least it won't hurt. So we went ahead and tried it and to my amazement in the 10 minute session he had, his eye went completely normal!! Yeah!! So I am sold! If you compare the other pictures to these you will see what a difference it is!

Oh and the best part is..... he sleeps soooooo much better now !!! Wooooohoooooo! :)

We will be soooo glad when he is feeling completely better. He will be the happy boy he's always tried to be, even in pain :)

Tuesday

Spring Pictures

So I decided to get some updated pictures of the kids ( which was loads of fun) so I can have recent pictures on the wall! Sawyer wasn't too upset having to try and smile so much, but it was a short session!

Those hands were sooo hard to keep out of his mouth!! Must have gotten something sweet on them! They're obviously really good! :)

Keeley will be 4 years on the 25th of this month! I can't believe how much she has grown!

Jarrin is 5 and he's such a goofball! I should have posted all the silly ones but I knew there would be too many pictures!

Like this one!! I told Jarrin to put his arm around Keeley! This is what I got! Yes his arm is around her, but he knew what I meant and they both got a kick out of it!!

Friday

Sawyers new moves

Well this had been going on for a couple of weeks now. He had discovered how yummy his fingers and hand are! He has also attempted to adopt his thumb as a replacement for his binkie and well we put an abrupt stop to that :) No thumb suckers here..it's too hard of a habit to break! He's so cute when he tries!

He also loves his jungle gym toy! He will lay under there happy for much longer now that his back doesn't hurt as much!
He likes to grab onto things and that grip of his is great and almost unbreakable ( first hand experience with a chunk of hair missing to go with that experience :0 ouch! )
It's so much fun to start to see all the new things that will be happening every day practically! It's now starting to get more fun! Especially since he giggles now!! I love our new happier baby!!

Jet Skiing!

Well summer has been quite fun minus the summer cold/flu run we just had! Grandpa got some jet skis/wave runners and likes to take them out with us to Hayden Lake (since we are the only ones around here now..boohoo..besides busy as a bee Maranda....until Sariah comes tonight wooohooo!)
It's has been a blast! Keeley and Jarrin LOVE it! In fact my Dad showed Jarrin how drive it and boy he loves it even better and he'll go as fast as it will take him(little dare devil) now he wants one for his Birthday next year! So I told my Dad that's his deal since he got him hooked ;) These are taken from shore with a baby in arms so they are not the best but good enough!

As you can see by the huge smile, my Dad is more than thrilled to have a grandson old enough now to enjoy his toys with him!
Keeley is a little more reserved and cautious about it still, only having her GO FASTER moments every once in a while, but she's getting better. It seems that the things we thought our wild adventurous child ,Keeley, would like better than our cautious , laid back Jarrin, is actually quite the opposite!

This was Sawyers first beach day! He loves being outside and slept the day away and when he was awake he was staring intently at the tree leaves above! His stroller was perfect for him because the back goes down flat and he can sleep on his tummy, the way he sleeps best!
We are sooooo blessed to be living so close to a lake! A 5 minute drive with 3 kids to get to water is so perfect, and at the end of the day it's nice to get home fast!!

Wednesday

Found the problem!!

Well , as you read a while ago, Sawyers car hating issue was a result of 5 vertebrae in his back being out!! See I was going nuts trying to figure out what I could do about the long screaming car rides ( or even the short ones for that matter)and how to help him, when one night I was rubbing his back and he arched his back and screamed..so a thought came to my mind to go pick up my Every Womens Herbal book to see what it said about babies( it has info for all stages of a womens life)when I read something that never occurred to me....It said a majority of the time, unexplained crying ( or colic like symptoms) can be a result of back problems and to try a chiropractor. So thankfully Brad works with one who was more than happy to check him out and sure enough it was his back out. So we started taking him 1 a week, and it would help for a couple days and then back out it went , so we bumped it up to 3 times a week and WOW!!! He goes into the car seat without crying and he'll even fall asleep in the car now even if he wakes up.... NO CRYING so far!!! He doesn't scream or arch his back when we touch it now and he only flinches a little bit when we push hard on it and when we first discovered it we only had to brush our hands across the spot and he would freak out. So I guess I am posting this so if any one else ever has this issue, they know of a not so obvious possible solution.

Friday

I love you too!

Sawyer does this with his fingers often, so I had to get a picture of it!! It's great because we all do that to each other all the time randomly! He's must have heard and decided he wanted to be in on it!!

Sawyer has a room to call his own!!

Sawyer has a room of his own now! I got his crib set up and almost everything of his in there. Brad and I decided that our room now looks very empty ! At first it felt cramped with all the baby things, but now I kind of want it back but then again no more tip toeing around during nap times!
He loves his mobile so much and just likes to lay there and coo and giggle at it! It's so cute to watch!
He is now ding this pilates move ALL the time! When he sees me he puts his arms up in the air! Boy do they learn that signal QUICK!! :)
Happy boy! He's getting soooo big now! I forgot how short that newborn baby stage is!!
He was giggling and trying to grab at the camera!

So to sum it up.. we are now in the fast moving new stages every day or so .. so many first are happening now ! I LOVE IT!!!

Monday

Stars and Stripes with a lot of Fireworks to Celebrate!!

What a fun 4th of Jult we had! It's great to be able to celebrate our Independence! We got to go to our friends house across the way from us and sit on their lawn to watch the fireworks over Hayden Lake! It was a great view! It was also the first successful Pictures that were taken! I was so thrilled!!

The sky and moon looked so pretty , and it looked like a city on the water with all the boats lined up to see the show!Sawyers first 4th of July show....and well...he did what my other 2 did on their first....fell asleep right when the show started!! :)
Jarrin and Keeley were so excited waiting for them to start. We were also with another family that we like to hang out with, and their 5 kids.
This was just another shot as the sun was going down more! It was so beautiful!!
Then the fireworks began! These are some of my favorite pictures of them..

Hope everyone else had a great 4th, and enjoyed their show!!
