No more a frumpy Mommy!!

Jarrin so willingly took my picture for me so I could share my new cut and color. It's my transformation from frumpy Mom to Hot Mama!! I feel so much better! It's always nice to get a new look after being big and pregnant and having a baby!!

Mud Bath!!

OH YEAH!! This is Keeley and Jarrin on a day that was 80 degrees outside and I was inside in my Salon Highlighting someones hair. My Dad was over playing with the kids so silly me...I thought he was watching them making sure they don't get into trouble! Well I went out to check on them with my client was under the dryer and this is what I saw!! Jarrin decided to fill up the trench with water that Brad made (to drain our lawn when it was raining like crazy and our dip in the lawn was a huge puddle) and they told me they were taking a mud bath!!

So here's Keeley in her swim skirt because she couldn't fine her swimsuit( she says) but I really don't think she looked that hard!!

Oh Yeah and this is a backside view of my boy laying in there mote and Keeley said she was cleaning Jarrin with the mud, that's why he has mud on his back, likewise Jarrin cleaned Keeley with mud which is why she had more mud than hair when they where done!!

And this is Jarrin driving his jeep to get it off the lawn that is trying to grow form reseeding it! They said they were making it camouflage! It was a great picture though. Wait till his dates see these!!
You're probably thinking my house was a mess with them going inside...and well....wrong. I made them let me hose them off before they could jump in the bath! Yes though the bath had some major sand and dirt from the mud on there heads and backs! But overall it was so much fun for them. They even turned down going to lunch with nana and papa! Must of been good times!!! I do remember how much fun it was playing in the mud so I couldn't be hard on my kids!! It's too much fun and I have great pictures to add to my book!!

Where in the Bedroom is Keeley?

So I can't possibly be the only parent to go check on their kids before heading to bed only to find them missing??? or rearranged in their bed!

I went to check on the kids that night only to open Keeley's door and with the lack of lighting and the position of the door, I could have swore she wasn't in her room at all....until...the snore came out! I don't know if she was going to get out of her bed( that's a regular thing) or she just was playing around and there she crashed! Who knows but it was a sight to see. I had to get Brad! I couldn't let him miss out on seeing that!!

The Hardest Thing About Being A Parent

So I've decided that the hardest part about being a parent is not being able to fix your child when they're hurt or sick!

Jarrin and Keeley had a cold about a week and a half ago and then I got it and then as we were getting over it our poor Sawyer started to get it. I thought it wouldn't get that bad because he's being Breast fed but I was wrong. He started to cough and get congested but nothing could get sucked out of his nose or coughed out. I thought it was just a bad cold like the rest of us until he started to get a fever and wasn't eating and was lethargic. ! :( I know that babies under 2 months should not get fevers unless it is serious. So I called the nurses 24 hour line at 10:30 pm and she had me put the phone up to Sawyer and listen to him breathe, then she said to get him in right away! Talk about instant tears! Brad and I immediately started saying prayers and we called Papa over to help with a blessing before I took off to the hospital. It was a very hard thing seeing Sawyer getting blood drawn from his little, tiny arm :( and a catheter put in only to get a few drops from my baby who hasn't eaten much a day! So sad!! They were worried that he might be getting pneumonia because he sounded so awful and he had a fever. BUT thankfully he just had a slight infection and he's getting a round of antibiotics! Much better than pneumonia! It was a hard and stressful night, as we were there till4 am! It's so hard to see your baby so sick! He's doing better now though! I am so thankful for prayer and the priesthood in our home!!

Tuesday

How Much Do We LOVE Our Little Brother?

Jarrin and Keeley are so in love with Sawyer! They have been the biggest helpers! They always tell me how cute he is and they wish I could have another baby! As soon as he cries one of them is right there, bouncing the chair or trying to pick him up ( YIKES) In fact he woke up in the middle of a story that Brad was telling me in the kitchen and Sawyer was in our room. I was going to let him finish his story before getting him, as all of us know it's not the end if they don't get picked up in 2 seconds, and as he was finishing Sawyer's cry got louder and Brad and I looked at each other and at the same time realized that someone had him! Much to our shock it was Keeley!, our clumsiest!! Oh boy! We were quite shocked to see that she was holding him quite well for a 3 year old and he was very secure, but decided and asked her calmly that if she wanted to pick him up, make sure one of us is there to help and walk by her!!

This picture I love. I was putting Jarrin to bed that night and he wanted to hold Sawyer so I put him in his arms and looking at the pictures you can tell how in love he is with his brother! I love it! I then told Jarrin that he was going to sleep with him tonight...the look on Jarrin's face was great as he said " but Mommy, he will wake me up a lot" (WELCOME TO MY WORLD!! hehe) I just laughed and said okay I will take him!! Jarrin said when he gets bigger then he will sleep with him!!

Keeley and Jarrin also keep asking to help burp him! Great I think considering how I've decided that Momma muscle arms are built in the first 3 months! Burping this baby is exhausting. His nassle passages are small so when he's nursing he squeaks like a mouse or as Brad says...It sounds like a flock of geese coming in! (Spoken by a true hunter) But what it causes him to do is to suck in a lot of air and that makes him very gassy, not colicky though, at least we can help this one better, but if we don't burp him good enough then he's fussy. So all the extra burping help I can get is great!!

I'm so thankful for my sweet Jarrin and Keeley for all their help! It sure makes it easier for me having such wonderful helpers!!I am so excited for when Sawyer gets older and they can interact with him even more! This kid will always have some entertainment around with these two!! Kids sure are the funnest, funniest, most wonderful and most exhausting thing in life and I wouldn't have it any other way!! They have taught me so much and I love that!!

Sunday

So this is the most updated picture of our children!! Getting all 3 to smile is impossible. Well Sawyer can't smile yet and the other two we giving me cheesy grins80% of the time... so this is the best one!! Mother's Day was wonderful, as Brad made me breakfast and Jarrin and Keeley were so sweet and helpful(as always)
This is the most updated picture of Sawyer. In 3 weeks he's looks so much older!! He is such a sweet and yummy cute baby!!
Jarrin and Keeley are getting so big!! Jarrin gets more and more handsome every day and Keeley is getting more and more beautiful every day!! I can't believe I have kids this old!!
One of Brad's Mother's Day cards for me!! I thought it was pretty funny!! He also gave me a cute sentimental card also! We like to get 2 cards for certain holidays. 1 Serious and 1 Funny!
Hope everyone else has had a Great Mother's Day!!!

Friday

Jim slaps Dwight

This is the BEST CLIP from the office!! Brad and I laugh so hard every time!

Thursday

Kids singing Sawyer to sleep

Sawyer loves to hear Jarrin and Keeley! They both used to sing to him in the womb and now when they sing he turns his head every which way to find and look at them! They are such a sweet brother and sister to him! They sing him I am a Child of God, I love to see the Temple, Families can be Together Forever, We'll Bring the World his Truth and many, many more.

Our Bath and Massage Bedtime

So Sawyer is now 3 weeks!! Brad and I have a routine that we do with our kids almost every night, if we have the energy to, we give our baby a nice warm bath and Brad, with his massage talent, gives them a massage with Lavender lotion! Then they get a final feeding and off to bed after all the bubbles are burbed out!

We do this because it has helped our kids get into a longer sleep pattern. Sawyer has been getting this for his 3 week life and FINALLY !!! he has decided to jump from every 2 hours at night to 4 hours at night and now the other night 5 hour stretches and last night he slept 7 hours !!! YA HOO!! Hopefully it will stay this way! I am so excited about sleeping! They say it only takes 4 straight hours to go through a complete sleep cycle to not be exhausted and I am finally there!!

Sawyer looks so cute in his duckie hooded towel also!! He loves the massages and if I touch his feet while I am changing him, he sticks his leg up and holds it there expecting a massage on his foot!! It's really cute!

He really is looks a lot like Keeley ! It will be interesting to see what a boy with my family resemblance will look like considering there are no boys yet that look like my side!!

Monday

what baby cries mean

This is so cool and it really works, at least for me!! Every new Mom needs to see this. It works for babies 3 months or younger.

The things a Daddy Teaches!

I've just been thinking about all the wonderful and interesting things my lovely husband teaches our children!! I love that as soon as Brad hits a this chair he falls asleep in about 2 min. whether the kids are playing loud around him and now the kids have learned that a cuddle with dad in the chair leads to sleep also!!

I love that he taught our kids that Hooters has the BEST wings ever!! And that the girls have horrible outfits that aren't even cute, nor modest! BUT the wings are the best!! And they are! I went there 2 days before Sawyer was born for the first time! Loved the food!!
I love that he teaches them self defense moves to learn to protect themselves and then they attack him and use them on him and it turns into a wrestling match!!!
I love that Sawyer feels so safe and cozy on Brad and has learned that it is the sleeping chair with Daddy also!!
I also have to say that I love that he helps teach the gospel in our home not just on Sunday but throughout the week, that animals are to eat and hunting and fishing are enjoyable to learn( no vegans here!!) that pull my finger also means you'd better plug your nose!( I can't believe my kids laugh and love this one!! BLAHH!)how to blow spit bubbles(oh yea my kids could do this before the age of 2 by themselves and loved to show me!!) Oh the list goes on!! I love my Hubby!! There is a quote that says " You can't stay young forever, but you can be immature for the rest of your life" Brad is one fun Daddy that teaches our beautiful children some wonderful, great things and also things that make me go" what the heck are you thinking teaching them that?" But all in all , it's nothing that will kill them and I know I've had my share in teaching some interesting things also!! So thank goodness for such a great Husband and Father!!!

Anyone else have some interesting things Dad had taught your kids?? I know I can't be the only one!!
