Elder Joseph B Wirthlin

I was so sorry to hear that Elder Wirthlin has passed away. My condolences to Katie and her family. I remember the first time I met Elder Wirthlin was at Katie's farewell. Kathy introduced me and told him that I was taking the discussions. I remember he grabbed my hand looked me strait in the eyes and said "it won't be long". I feel very blessed that I had the opportunity to meet him and listen to him speak. He will definitely be missed.

Philly!

Ryan and I had an amazing time with Katie, Chris and Henry on Saturday. It was so fun to spend the day with the Millers in PA. They did such a great job showing us around the city. We saw a ton and hung out in their cute apartment. I will have to get a group pick from Katie. Henry is so cute. Thank you so much for hosting us we had so much fun and we will have to do it again soon.
Here we are on the train to Philly.

Going to see the Liberty Bell

This guy scared the crap out of us while we were walking on campus

Birthday

I had a wonderful birthday week. On my birthday I got tons of treats from Ryan and my coworkers during the day. That night Ryan took me to Rosa Mexicano for dinner. I loved my meal. This is definitely my favorite NY Mexican restaurant.

On Friday my friend from work and I went to watch Ryan tape Fast Money. The show is shot at the NASDAQ in Times Square. You can watch the show being taped just like the Today show. Marina and I got to sit inside and watch the show. It was really cool to see Ryan at work and watch the show being taped. It was funny to be on the inside and watching the people outside try to get on TV. There was one little girl who was absolutely hysterical. One of the hosts came and talked with us afterwards and he was really nice and funny.

If you enlarge this picture you can see Ryan with his headset on. I took this picture outside before we watched the show. It was hard to get a good picture of him because of the glare.
After the show Ryan and I grabbed a bite to eat and then we went to James Bond. One thing Ryan promised me on my birthday is that he would see Twilight with me. I thought I would wait for the craziness to die down a little before we go but I'm excited to see it even though I have serious reservations. I wasn't happy about who they chose for Edward but we'll see.

On Saturday Ryan and I went to CPK and then we went birthday shopping. I got a lot of cute stuff that I'm excited to wear. Thank you to everyone who made my shopping trip so great! I got a lot of nice checks and gift cards that I was extremely excited about. It's really easy to spend money in NY.
I also want to thank everyone for their calls, texts and well wishes. I had a great week.
Please notice I was also wearing red on Saturday. Go UTES!!!

Happy Birthday Kelly!

Friday night it was Kelly's birthday! Her roommates planned a Mexican Mustache Party for her. It was a lot of fun. I never got a picture of the whole group but there were about 15 of us. We got the weirdest looks at the restaurant but it was a lot of fun.

We don't have a full length mirror so I made Ryan take a picture of me so I could see what my outfit looked like.

It's Raining Baby Boys

This weekend we also threw a baby shower for Erika. It was so much fun. She is having a baby boy who I can't wait to see. I wish I had taken more pictures. I love my friends and miss them so much. Hopefully we will all live in the same state again sometime soon. (pictures will be coming)

Family Reunion in Las Vegas

Last weekend I went to Las Vegas with my family and my Aunts and Uncles. We had a blast. We ate great food, went to see Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil and shopped and shopped. The only bad thing about the trip was that Ryan couldn't make it. I am so lucky to have such a great family. Thanks mom and dad!

We all took pictures like this but I thought my dad caught the most air

Fun at work

Ryan and I both had fun days at work this week. On Friday I got to visit the New York Stock Exchange. It would be a crazy place to work. There is probably 15 guys to every one girl. It was cool to see how orders are placed and we got to see where they ring the bell. It was also interesting to talk to people about the market and get their thoughts. I'm really glad I got to go.

I didn't take this picture but those are small lap top like computers that everybody carries around to approve orders on.

On Saturday Ryan worked Saturday Night Live. He got to work behind the scenes and see all of the craziness that goes on. So in addition to the cast of SNL this week he got to see James Franco, Kings of Leon, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Ellen Page, Kirsten Dunst and the entire cast of Gossip Girl, which I haven't seen but you see pictures of the actors on the show everywhere. He also has had some amazing conversations with people that have visited the show he currently works on, Morning Joe. He got to have a fifteen minute conversation with Tom Brokaw, he talked to Chevy Chase and Dan Rather. Meeting celebrities is definitely not the reason why Ryan wants to do production but it's definitely a bonus and kind of makes your day more interesting.

Another guest another fun weekend

This weekend was a lot of fun. We had another visitor, Ryan's friend Zane. He came into town on Thursday and he and Ryan went to a Yankees game.

On Friday we walked around times square and went by the Letterman studio. Seeing Letterman is still something I want to do while we are here.

We also went to Mary Poppins, which is really good. This was my third musical in three weeks. Mary Poppins definitely has the best sets I have seen so far and they have some cool effects.

Saturday we went to Canal street, Soho, Magnolia bakery and this picture was taken at Cowgirl which is one of my favorite restaurants. Today Ryan took Zane on a private tour of the Conan and SNL sets. We had a lot of fun this weekend. Thanks Zane for coming out.

5 Years!!!!!!

Another cool thing we got to do while my mom was in town was the NYC Race for the Cure. My mom just marked her 5 year anniversary of being cancer free and we thought this would be a fun way to celebrate. I always get teary eyed at the start of these because of the overwhelming number of people that come. I also get so sad when I see people with in memory of mom, grandma, sister, aunt or daughter signs on their backs. I feel so fortunate for my mom and I can't imagine life without her. Love you mom!

Mom

This weekend my mom came to visit. Again Ryan and I were spoiled with good food and entertainment. One thing I can basically guarantee if you come to visit us in NY is that the weather is going to be bad for part of the time. We got soaked with the Terry's and we got soaked with my mom. On the upside I can almost guarantee that while the bad weather is going on outside we will win Wicked lottery tickets so we can spend the time indoors. Yes, I won again. My mom has never seen it so we decided to go. I wonder how many pictures I will have by that sign by the time I leave NY. We were actually going to see Mary Poppins with my mom and I accidentally bought tickets for this coming weekend by mistake.

The Terry's were in town

The weekend after we moved Ryan's mom and brother came to visit. It was so nice to see them. We ate a lot of good food, did some shopping on canal street and went to The Lion King. Thanks for everything we had a blast and can't wait to see you again.
