Halloween Costumes

The girls decided to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween this year. I was a little worried when I was first looking for blue hair dye and couldn't find any. Thankfully Grandma went to a halloween store and found some for us. They won a prize at the ward costume party, making them very very happy.

Luke kept telling me he wanted to be Thomas again. I was fine with that since we already had the costume. Then his friend showed up in the gray Ironman costume so Luke decided he wanted to be Ironman also. So we bought him the red Ironman costume.

What We've Been Up To

Wow, I can't believe October is almost over. We've been busy doing stuff and I just haven't taken the time to blog about so here is what we've been doing. I'm sure there has been more but I didn't alway have my camera out for pictures.

The beginning of the month we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to see the leaves. The kids had fun walking around the lake and picking up leaves.

We did one of our favorite fall activities, Little Haunts at This Is the Place. The kids love going there and doing the various activities. Luke rode the little train three times and that made him very happy.
The kids played some games.
Did some trick or treating. Funny story about this guy. He was telling stories and jokes. The kids yell out to him "Trick or Treat" to which he replies "Smell my feet", so what does Luke do... He smells his foot, and then yells "Yuck". We got a good laugh and wished we'd had the camera out for that.
Jill and Paul took our kids overnight for us so that Zach and I could celebrate our 12th anniversary. We stayed at the Grand and went to a movie and did some shopping at the Gateway. It was a nice little get away.
This is my absolute favorite part about staying at the Grand. I love the fruit I can always get there!!
We went and saw the Witches at Gardner Village. The kids did a scavenger hunt and got a cookie from the bakery.
The weathers had been nice enough that we've been able to be outside a lot. We spent some time playing at the park when Haley was at activity days.

We've also been making fabric flowers for hair bows, and decorating sugar cookies but I don't have pictures of either of those. The kids are looking forward to going Trick or Treating tonight and wearing their costumes. Hopefully it won't take me until the end of November to get up pictures of them in their costumes.
