Truly, you can hear it. We’re 6~9 months away from it. The Democratic party will be outlawed and the courts disbanded. The supreme court is already completely compromised.

It will look like lunacy and many won’t believe it, but the guys with the guns will uphold it as law. Then they’ll purge the capitol police, regular police and permanently federalise the national guard.

It’ll go quick. I’m not sure if Trump will be around for it, but this is the exact same playbook. The fascist takeover has begun and is accelerating.

The next step is invading greenland and cuba and annexing Canada.

Ridiculous, but they are getting away with all of it.

The sooner the American people realise they are no longer living in a democracy, the sooner all of this will be over.

The republicans will suggest the democrats should be disbanded because they are soft on "terrorism" and the democrats will disband themselves to prove the republicans are wrong about how hardcore they are.

Yeah McConnell is one of them. There's a reason they ragged so hard on Dominion voting systems, it was whatever one Kentucky used that the Republicans had compromised.

Every time the republicans claim election fraud, the majority of the democratic voters circle the wagons and refuse to look at how voting machines are causing democratic candidates to loose.

This is not new behavior, I’ve seen it constantly the last generation and a half. Never understood it, and it was responsible for much of my drift to the left

Democrats don't really win elections since they're a non-functional opposition party with no actual platform. Like, beyond 2000 and gerrymandering (both very important to talk about, for sure) the democrats are losing cause they stand for nothing. Starting will Bill "lemme at 'em girls" Clinton, mainstream Democrats are Republicans who won't increase the amount of minority murdering Republicans pass when they're in office. No undo, just not as enthusiastic about it. You don't need conspiracy theories to explain why they're losing, man.

Democrats still win, often. Every few years like clockwork they gain control of everything. This used to confuse me a lot.

However the fact is, they are allowed to win. I fully expect democrats to win by a landslide next year.

But who wins? Nobody who will rock the boat, all others will loose primaries.

It’s not a conspiracy theory if you cannot prove voting is honestly counted in the majority of the states. Sure, there are some states that have accurate vote counts according to polls and United Nations guidelines, and statistical checks. These have simpler more traditional voting systems.

For the other states, any attempt to prove honesty goes out the window due to how the systems are company secrets, hidden in operations, and the fact these states fail United Nations guidelines, the stats tests bounce, and there is a gap between exit poll results and the announced votes. Almost always, it’s the democrats who come up short, who are disadvantaged. But one would never know that if one listens to them.

It’s a pity that one has to be deeply versed in technical skills to see the problems inherent in the electronic voting systems here. Or at least be familiar with paper ballots and the tests used to keep them honest. One also has to know how recounts are problematic, it requires knowledge of an individual state’s laws and processes.

So there are several hurdles to even have a conversation with most people.

US politics requires trust in the system to work. Most politically active democrats are conservative and deeply believe in the state’s inherent infallibility in this. There is no instinct for transparency or accountability, and often when asked, they refer to political experts who calm them, reassure them , and blather tech nonsense.

There's a power struggle over the narrative when it comes to cheating in elections. Gerrymandering, voter ID, vote harvesting, automatic voting machines, mail in ballots. They either benefit one party slightly more than the other inherently or because there is greater opportunity for fraud, simply because of voter demographics and mobilization. This turns into pearl clutching over saving democracy and so on. There is some truth to ask of it, but mostly it's the power struggle over the narrative.
