The sick kids' day

Today Chase took a 3 hour nap. I was so happy he had a good nap because he really needed it. He has not been feeling to well the last couple of days. He has had a sore throat, fever, and a bad cough. And his cough has been keeping him up all night. Good thing for Children's Motrin because that is what helped him sleep today. Poor little Savannah is also not feeling well. And right now her cough is getting worse. After Chase took a long nap, we went outside to water the flowers. Chase helped me water down the gofer holes.while Savannah was interested in playing with the rocks, woodship's, and the flowers.

The kids' week

This week Savannah has been walking really well. It cracks me up seeing this little person walking around the house. I think she feels like she has to keep up with Chase. The weather this week has been so strange. It was very hot on Tuesday and rained from wednesday to Friday. Here are some pictures of the kids' week. Tuesday we went swimming at Nicole's mom's house. Chase and Savannah loved the pool. Oh, and Savannah loved eating Cheetos.

Here is Chase on Friday. playing outside with an umbrella. It was exciting yesterday for us to go watch Narnia. The movie was awesome.

My projects

My really good friend Susan showed me how to sew a pillow case. It was my first time ever sewing. It was really hard for me but fun. Now I want to sew a blanket for Savannah and my goal is to make one for her before summer is over. I have always heard sewing machines can break easy so I thought it was very brave of Susan to let me use hers and nice of her to let me use some of her material and thread.
Later in the day mom and I went to enrichment night. A sister in our ward taught us how to make flower arrangements. After making my flower arrangement, I realized it takes a lot of practice to make the kind of beautiful flower arrangement that you see in a flower shop. Here are my projects.

It was so much fun and if it weren't for everyone, it would not have been a very memorable day for us. Thank you all for your love and support and being able to stick around in the heat:) Thank you cousins for playing with Chase. He really had fun playing with you. Savannah's weekend

On Sunday we got into the car to go back home from church. Greg opened a pocket apple pie for Chase and then went back into the church to count the tithing for the ward. While I was driving Chase told me, "Mom my car seat is dirty." A little while later he said, "Mom Savannah's car seat is dirty too." When I opened the car door for Savannah, this is what I found:
Savannah with pie everywhere. I had to get a picture of it. It made me laugh and mad at the same time. The first thing I thought was GREG!!!!

The last couple of days Savannah has been walking and taking more steps than ever.

Yay Greg is done!!!!

I am soooooooooo excited. Yesterday was Greg's last day of law school. I am very proud of him. I can't believe this day has finally come. I picked him up at the train station and we celebrated at John's Incredible pizza. We had a lot of fun, especially Chase. He really enjoyed playing air hockey with Greg . I didn't get any pictures taken because I forgot the camera at home. We are going to continue celebrating this weekend. We'll see what we end up doing.
Greg doesn't have to study. At least until Monday. Photobucket

Our week!!!

I had an adventure this week trying to find the right dress for Greg's graduation. Ross was the first store I went to. Before going in, I told Chase, "can you help me find a dress to wear for dad's graduation." He sure did help and I actually tried on two dresses that he picked out. It was funny when we were looking for dresses Chase would say out loud "Mom this one for dad." I wonder what people were thinking!!!! Right when I was going to try on the dresses, I wondered how in the world i was going to do it because i couldn't bring the cart in the dressing room and thats were I had savannah. Well i tried--Savannah would crawl out and I would bring her back in the dressing room. Chase also help me keep her in the room. None of the dresses fit. I went to Marshall's and I found one there. I was so happy i found one because i didn't want to go to anymore stores. Here is the dress. What do you girls think of it? I don't have a clue what's in style anymore.

On Tuesday, my sister Violet gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Valerie weighed 6 lbs., 10 ounces and was 19 in. long. She is very tiny and looks a lot like her dad. I am so excited for Violet. She had been waiting for a long time to become a mother. I just can't believe she's one now. I visited with Valerie today and took a picture with her. Here she is:Greg has been studying all week for finals and today he took a little break from studying. We took Chase to a free comic day that Erik told us about. It was awesome because Chase's favorite movie star was there: Dark Vader. And a lot of the other Star Wars characters were there. It was cool getting free stuff and seeing Chase so excited. Erik, Marci and the girls were there too. The girls looked very cute dressed up as Superwoman and Batgirl.
