Poppy is fun....ask them

All I had to do was ask the kids if they wanted to go visit Grandpa at work, and the kids have 0 qualms.
They knew they couldn't actually "play" with any of Poppy's toys, but it was enough just to see them, sit on them, pretend and say hi to Grandpa.
Is Grandpa taking it easy at work? No, he was in the shop working hard.
He stopped his work, took off his gloves and opened the special door to show the kids some of the toys we'll be able to take out when we have our Family Reunion at a cabin in Utah.
Kids climbed up, and were all smiles.
Kyleigh was still smiling even after we told her were were going to shut off the lights if she didn't hurry out (she was having a shoe malfunction).....and we didn't wait very long....ha!
Turned off the lights and teased that we'd lock her in the room.
We kid. A lot.
Grandpa locked the door back up and we loaded our van.
It was nice that even though it takes a good 40 minutes round trip just in the car, the kids don't mind when we get to see Grandpa as the reward.
He's one of the greatest. We all love him.
Conversations in the car on the ride home were proof enough.

Discovery

Summer is hot. Having a fun Children's Discovery museum is cool.
Took the kids a few times and each time they find new things to imagine, play, ride, invent.

One of the trips, I grabbed my niece since Kyleigh Mae and my nephew were at tennis camp.
Cousins planned a trip and donned the garb to fly out in style.
B didn't have a pilot hat or jacket, but you should've heard him imagining they were really getting ready for takeoff. He'd make his Grandpa Rodger proud with the flight checks.

Kyleigh came with us on another occasion.
She's fun. And funny with her hair on end.

B participated in "building" the Raiders stadium.

Kent hesitated just a weee too long when I asked them all if they wanted to see what hurricane winds were like....

Digging through the many legos to find each # was not too long or arduous a task for Kent.
(And I was proud of him for sticking with it to the end!)
