We're Alive!

Well, it's been a ridiculous amount of time since our last post. Instead of trying to go back and post everything I should have, I'll just give a quick recap.

Josh's work had a party at Castles and Coasters (like American Adventures for any GA folk). We all got to wear MR Tanner shirts and the girls loved that we matched! They had so much fun running around, riding rides, eating food, and playing. BTW- yes- I'm sporting a little bump there. Baby #3- a girl!- is due in March. We are so excited and feel so blessed.

Josh is pretty much the girl's favorite person. They can't wait for him to be home. They were so excited to spend all day playing with him!

Lucy and Kate usually get along so great and really are best friends! They want to know where the other one is all the time. Kate started preschool this past September, and Lucy still hates when we drop her off.

We're excited for Christmas time!

It's About Time, Right?!

Well, we're going on 6 months since our last post. A little pathetic, I realize this. Instead of trying to backtrack and catch up on everything, here are some of my favorite pictures from the last few months.

Lucy and Kate at the zoo. These two are quite the pair! For the most part, they get along really well and have so much fun together. First thing in the morning and after naps, the girls always look for each other and smile so big when they see each other.

One afternoon, Josh and I decided to go jogging as a family. We packed the girls up in the jogging stroller and headed out. They each had to have their drinks and baby! They entertain each other pretty well!

It is so rare to get a picture when they are both looking and smiling. Kate is usually making a face and hammin' it up and Lucy is just too busy to sit still for a picture.

For Christmas, Santa brought Kate a big-girl bike! She was so excited and absolutely loves it!

I just love this face! She's such a happy girl- and the happiest at meal time!

We had the best New Year's Eve- we partied at home with the girls! We had a fun dinner, danced, ate, danced, and danced some more. The girls were so excited. We ran in the New Year at seven o'clock and then got the girls to bed! They loved being a part of the festivities.

My handsome husband with the girls! These girls love their daddy! I love watching them when Josh gets home. They both bolt to the door yelling daddy and wanting hugs and kisses!

Did I mention that we have a new addition to the family?!? That's our sweet dog Daisy! She's a black lab that we got from the Lab Rescue- and she is the perfect dog for us. I love the fact that she came potty-trained and does so awesome with the girls. They pretty much abuse her- but out of love- and she puts up with everything.

Dressing up is a regular thing at our house. This particular day, the girls decided that Daisy needed some thing to wear too. They eventually got her to wear a tiara. What a good dog!

I love this little ball of fire! One morning, we were going for a walk as a family, and it was a little cold. I insisted that the girls wear beanies and this is what Kate thought about it!

Our sweet Kate is getting so big! She has been doing a little joy school and we went to the petting zoo one morning. I just can't believe how old she looks!

These two sweet girls are so much fun! Being a mom is a lot of work, but is absolutely worth it!

Well, hopefully it won't be another 6 months before I post again!

I realize that it has been way too long since my last post. I'm going to try and do better, but there always seems to be something else to do! Anyways, a few weeks ago, I decided to do a little photo shoot with the girls in the backyard. These are a few of my favorites!

Kate loves to hold Lucy. She's always asking to hold her- or sometimes I even find her trying to do it on her own. Since Lucy is almost as big as Kate, I know she can't get her off the ground! We love our little girls! They are so funny and make everything better!

So, it's 3:00 o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. Instead of laying awake in bed, I decided to get up and look at pictures on the computer, and I couldn't help but feel extremely blessed to have these two sweet girls in our family. These two girls show each other (and us) so much love. I just had to share some of my favorite pictures of the two of them together.

Finally New Pictures!

I realize that it has been a REALLY long time since I updated our blog! The thought of updating it right now it really unappealing so I thought I would share some recent pictures instead!

My three favorite people! The girls absolutely love when daddy comes home from work! Kate screams and runs to greet him and Lucy gives daddy her biggest smiles!

Kate: Kate is such a big girl now. She is a great helped and an awesome big sister. She loves playing with Lucy and getting her to laugh. It's so cute to watch them together! Kate has been potty trained for awhile now and it is so nice! She is such a sweet girl!

Lucy: We can't believe how big our little Lu-lu has gotten! She has been rolling for almost 2 months, has two teeth, and has been sitting for a few weeks. The second child seems to grow so fast!

We love these sweet girls! They keep us so busy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

January 10th was Lucy's first time attending church. We got the girls all ready for church and tried to take some pictures.

Kate wasn't too thrilled about taking pictures. She was all ready to go and didn't want to waste time taking pictures. (Notice that she has her purse ready for the trip!)

Lucy was in a really good mood and I didn't want to miss out on taking some pictures.

Not the greatest shot, but they were both happy in it. I love that Kate is holding Lucy's hand!

Painting and Smiling!

Since Lucy is still so little, we have been trying to keep her home and away from crowds as much as possible. I have been trying to find fun things for Kate to do so she isn't too bored! I found a 'recipe' where you can make paint to use in the bathtub. (It's just soap, cornstarch, and food coloring.)

Kate was so excited to help make our paint!

She chose the colors and loved stirring everything together.

Painting was a huge hit- Kate loved it and I loved the clean-up! Our tub was super clean after rinsing the soap off.

Lucy loved admiring Kate's painting! She just watched from her bouncy seat the whole time.

A few weeks ago, Lucy started smiling! It's hard to catch a smile on camera, but here's one we sort of caught!

Lucy is a pro at working her bottom lip! This was during bath time- she was not too happy at being all wet and cold.
