apparently there was a small earthquake (4.7) in Arkansas last night but you could supposedly feel it here...I slept though it. Slept through the earthquake and most of last nights thunder storm.

Last weekend was "cray cray" Two major frat parties in a row. The first being a jungle party the second a rave. I only went to the second one however I was covered in highlighter (cuz you can see it in blacklight) which I am still trying to get off. Despite the fact that I wasn't at the "rave" for very long. Good weekend one of Rhodes' finest.

The weather today alone has been crazy it stormed like crazy early in the morning then the sun was almost out and it got warm on my way to my first class. Now it is cloudy and cold so thanks Memphis weather crazier than a borderline bi-polar nut. Some trees have started blooming but now I am afraid it might not be that time yet which would be terrible. The next three days are supposed to be kinda sunny so I am hoping for that but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it snowed again.

So much to be excited about spring break is fast approaching and I get to see the strokes and two door cinema club f-yaaaaa. I miss home a lot right now especially with the weather not as great as it was. But hopefully it'll be different tomorrow.

rainy wednesday

memphis weather has been sunny and hot but now it's rainy and cold and gross...Planned out my major yesterday which was WAY less difficult than I thought. I even have time to go abroad! Which I didn't believe was possible before yaaay!

Sunday Night Ramble

It's been a rather docile weekend considering that formal just happened and that it's just another crazy weekend here in college. The weather has been lovely I am slowly turning into a video nerd and I am throughly enjoying the sun finally being out despite the fact that my knee hurts like hell. I know what it was like for Ariel for those who read the actual little mermaid book. Friday night was formal and very docile at least in comparison to others...

I played video games all of yesterday and rather than attempt to go out whatsoever I continued playing video games until midnight when I went to sleep. Last night was a case of two formals one night...nothing was going on so boooo.

Went to a new YUMMY place called brother juniper's for lunch and had some amazing potato dish. With Tweel and Birdman/Birdie. Will have to keep that in mind. It's much like a classier Magnolia's. Been making myself homesick all over again have to do a distance perspective drawing for my perception psychology so I am doing the view down south congress from about where perla's/homeslice are. Have a film project due tuesday and I have to find a dog to film...it'll be exciting for sure...

Can't wait for spring break despite the fact that I will be doing a research paper during it but whatever that's how I spent my thanksgiving break as well...I wish I loved/was better at academia.

To be more vague for those who get it. There's a lot of confusing things going on distance in all of its forms seen to go on and on. It never really helps when you can't get answers from someone especially when you leave yourself with more questions. Accepting defeat can suck but hey things tend to be the fault of both parties and not just one.

Freaking out about housing next year because I literally have none zero zilch nada plans cuz the room mate I know and love is moving off campus and my parents won't let me join after an incident involving a few students being robbed at gun point...CRAP! WHY?!

Wish me luck with life/work/housing/choosing a major...

Clean

It's amazing what my mom can get me to do. Even underhandedly get me to celebrate Valentines day. White roses are my favorites. That and jay flowers and formerly tiger lilies but that was as a child post watching Alice in Wonderland. I've always kinda disliked red roses because well they're so common there's nothing special or unique about them and same goes for white ones but I guess it is the simplicity of them that I love they are just so clean and crisp. It amazes me how much the nice weather affects my mood. I've been thinking about home a lot lately so yeah missing it a lot as well. I'll be there soon enough I guess...

FUCK YOU VALENTINE'S DAY!

...I hate this holiday, and normally wear all black however I got a cute dress from anthro that I will wear-grey is close to black anyways. I suppose the grey matches my mood towards the holiday this year. Giving it a try my mom got me candy to give to friends and bought me my favorite flower white roses. that...and I am going to dinner. So yeah grey rather than black. I still refuse to acknowledge this false holiday for the most part though. Why I hate it? It had drifted from kindness towards others to hallmark, pink plush love. Also I am a sucker for expectations. Every year I notice a number of people (usually girls) that are disappointed by what their significant other does or doesn't do for this bleh day.

Most of all I am trying to continue my theme of not freaking out on holidays and my normal freakout ones (new years and birthday) have gone without a stage fiver. Normally I am reduced to a state that is much like Jessica Biel in the movie valentines day. It is actually a good movie because focuses on love as a whole not just romantic love so I liked it. I would have never seen it had it not been showing on a 10 hour flight this past summer. On planes I look for any distraction from the fact that I'm 30,000 feet from the ground/ocean.

Anyways here's to the giving holiday I hate a chance

the weather is disgusting and it's making me feel kinda crappy. I've been having trouble walking today because I went on an hour long run which normally wouldn't be so bad but I decided to run on the tip toes of my feet for most of it because someone told me that I run on my heels...but seriously I am having issues running
