Telling Turkey Where to Go

First, there was the inspirational speech given by Austrian MP Evald Stadler in the Austrian parliament.

Mr Stadler was responding to criticism levied at Austria's integration policies by the Turkish ambassador - and it really is a joy to watch. It's a rare sight to witness a European politician telling the unadulterated truth without fear.


Now we have a speech given by Israeli Knesset member Danny Danon, in response to the Turkish Prime Minister's demand for an apology over the Mavi Marmara incident:

To the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan,

(by way of the Turkish ambassador to Israel)

Regarding: The request for an apology to the government of Turkey for the events aboard the Mavi Marmara of the Gaza flotilla.

I would like to apologize to you in the name of the entire state of Israel for the fact that the state of Israel did not take sufficient care to check the terrorist ship Marmara before it left Turkey. That would have prevented the ship from being armed with guns and other weapons, and from transporting terrorist activists under the patronage of the Turkish government.

Because of our excellent relationship, and your great respect for the state of Israel and the Zionist enterprise, I must apologize for the fact that the naval commandos who, when they reached the ship, were greeted by armed terrorist resistance that aimed to murder them did not immediately defend themselves with gunfire, and instead acted with restraint toward the pretend “peace activists” who sought to kill them.

Apologies for the fact that the commandos acted carefully, taking into account the presence of civilians on the ship, and killed only nine terrorists. If the state authorities had known that there were terrorists on the ship, the order would have been given to kill any person endangering our troops.

With your permission, one more apology is necessary, for Israel’s decision to release the dangerous terror supporters who were on the ship and not put them on trial for attempted murder, and even to pay for their tickets home.

And finally, please accept our full and heartfelt apology, for not asking the United Nations to censure Turkey, and for not demanding an investigation into the connection between the IHH terrorist organization, your party and you, Mr. Erdogan.

It's nice to see that not every Western man in a position of influence is a simpering dhimmi with no self-respect, sucking up to the worst regimes in the world and embracing their nations' destruction or subjugation because it happens to be politically correct.

Anders Fogh Rasmussen Disappoints in Turkey

Anders Fogh Rasmussen became something of a legend during the Danish cartoons crisis in 2006 - although he didn't do or say anything overly special or controversial, he didn't bow down to Islamic blackmail, violence or pressure.

For that alone, he became a figure many wished all Western leaders would emulate in their dealings with the Muslim world, where tolerance and freedom of speech only works one way.

Since becoming NATO's Secretary-General, Rasmussen has bee something of a disappointment, however.

He seems to feel his duties are more about sucking up to the Muslim world and pretending he is a nice guy than running an organisation which is currently at war with certain facets of Islam, as his recent actions in Turkey have proven:

NATO's new secretary general reiterated respect for Islam on the first day of his visit to the alliance's only predominantly Muslim member.

Anders Fogh Rasmussen is in Turkey for two days to discuss NATO operations in Afghanistan and improve relations ith the Muslim world.

"Please see my presence here tonight as a clear manifestation of my respect for Islam as one of the world's greatest religions," Fogh Rasmussen said Thursday at an iftar - the evening meal that breaks the fast during the holy month of Ramadan - with Turkey's leaders.

"I have he deepest respect for people's religious feelings," he said.

Fogh Rasmussen became secretary general Aug. 1, after Turkey withdrew its objections to his candidacy. Turkey initially opposed his appointment because, as Denmark's prime minister, he infuriated many Muslims following the publication in 2005 o cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

Fogh Rasmussen distanced himself from the cartoons but resisted calls to apologize for them, citing freedom of speech.

Turkish leaders said the choice would antagonize Afghanistan and Pakistan, both predominantly Muslim countries.

Fogh Rasmussen also angerd Turkey by opposing its membership in the European Union.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan used the event Thursday to criticize terrorist acts carried out in the name of Islam, urge greater respect for Muslims in the West and push for Turkey's EU membership.

I have the utmost contempt for this individual now. No job or position is worth betraying all your principles for; and that is exactly what Rasmussen has done.

The Face of "European Islamophobia"

Recently certain parties within the Turkish government announced that they were afraid of a wave of "Islamophobia" sweeping Europe.

This wave of anger and violence might well have caused up to five violent incidents in which Turks living in Europe had died, according to them.

One of these incidents was the murder of Arzu Çakmakçi-Erbas, 32, outside the daycare centre she owned and ran in Amsterdam.

Well, now the Dutch police have announced that they are actively seeking a suspect in connection with this brutal and senseless murder - this is the face of "European Islamophobia":

Yes, the police have announced that they want Nevzat Koyak, 41, to help them with their inquiries, as we say here in Britain.

Koyak isn't an evil European racist though - he is a violent Turkish illegal immigrant and career criminal:

The police believe they know who the murderer who stabbed to death the owner of the Moeders Schoot daycare center in Amsterdam West two weeks ago. The man is Nevzat Koyak. He was born in Turkey and is in the Netherlands illegally. According to the police he's addicted to alcohol and drugs and has no permanent place of residence. The suspect is dangerous and unpredictable.

Koyak is on the run. Monday night his photo appeared in wanted notices on various national and local TV broadcaster. The police hope that the broadcasts will bring in tips about the suspect's hiding place. Police are offering 5,000 euro for the 'golden' tip.

A police chief told regional broadcaster TV-Noord Holland that Koyak was involved in the past in serious violence crimes. The police said nothing in its wanted notice about the motive of the suspect. A spokesperson did not want to add information. The murder, in any case, has nothing to do with the daycare or the parents of the children there. "This could have happened anywhere," says the spokesperson. According to the spokesperson there was no relation between the attacker and the victim.

Arzu Çakmakçi-Erbas (32) was stabbed to death two weeks ago in a pcar park in front of the childcare centre, just after she closed it. The victim died later in hospital.

The police currently have more than 20 researchers on the case.

So, it looks like everyone can experience the benefit of unchecked immigration and the failure to deport violent criminals - not just natives, but decent immigrants too.

Unfortunately the Turkish government have declined to comment on these recent developments - probably hoping that people will quietly forget about this before Turkey's membership talks with the European Union swing round.

I'm hoping just the opposite.

Justice Turkish Style

The Daily Telegraph reported yesterday that a British student had been arrested and deported from Turkey for stripping naked and dancing around a statue of Ataturk, the founder of the modern Turkish state, whilst screaming abuse and insults.

Now, I think this individual is a complete idiot and got pretty much what he deserved. If you choose to travel abroad, you should certainly respect local laws and not expect your passport or your skin colour to protect you from trouble.

According to the article, many Turks think the boy was treated too leniently:

However, for some Turks, the punishment was not severe enough and a Facebook group titled ‘String up Strong’ has been set up, calling for him to be hanged.

A British man who was on holiday there at the time had the following to say:

British tourist John Connolley, who is on holiday in Marmaris, praised the actions of the Turkish authorities.

“To be honest I admire the Turks for their direct action. The boy had no reason to strip naked in public and insult a much loved national leader. He obviously was looking for a reaction and he got one – perhaps not what he expected though.

“Tourists should appreciate that if you come to Turkey you should behave respectfully – I think it’s a good thing – otherwise you get Brits behaving horribly like they have been on the Greek islands recently. In fact I think we should adopt the same attitude back home and deport badly behaved foreigners.”

Indeed. I believe the Turkish authorities have behaved properly here, as does Mr Connolley.

To play devil's advocate though, where was this man's interpreter and lawyer, not to mention his several free appeals against the deportation, totalling several years spent lived on benefits?

The Turks won't countenance such nonsense - but we do, every day, regarding much more serious crimes against our own people and culture.

To take one of these crimes which fits in with this story, let me take you back to 2004.

A failed asylum seeker from Iraq (who had been turned down seven times but was still free to walk the streets of Britain), was leaning against a cenotaph in Blackpool, eating chips.

This was on the day which marked the 90th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War, so there were many fresh poppy wreaths on the war memorial.

This man of 32, Harkan Amin then decided to masturbate all over the memorial, the wipe his hands with the wreaths, before going back to eating his chips.

He was sentenced to pay a £2,000 fine, which he could not; so he was released after spending two weeks on remand.

No one explained why he was still walking around free after being turned down seven times; no one explained why he was even still in the country.

Despite telling the truth about his status, the BBC described him as "from Oldham".

For all we know, he is still living here now.

Now, would the 'Brits behave so badly abroad' crowd support throwing this man out without a trial, without legal aid, without assessing what he faced upon his return?

I would hope so, but I'm not convinced.

It seems that whilst applauding Turkey's protection of its interests and culture, our elites see us as nothing more than a dumping ground; here, the scum have all the rights, and the decent have to leave if they don't like it.

German Killed in Turkey Was Murdered for Being a Christian

Here is an update on the story of the German businessman stabbed to death in Turkey last week:

Mentally disturbed Muslim stabs German businessman as he leaves church.

ISTANBUL, July 28 (Compass Direct News) – On a crowded street here last week a German businessman died after a Turk with a history of mental problems stabbed him for being a Christian. Witnesses saw Ibrahim Akyol, 26, stab Gregor Kerkeling in the chest on July 20 at 10:50 a.m. after following him out of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Istanbul’s central district of Beyoglu.

Church security cameras captured the attack on Kerkeling, who regularly visited the church when he was in town for business. Akyol, a Muslim who reportedly had been visiting area churches scouting around for a Christian victim, followed Kerkeling out of the church building and asked him for a Turkish lira. When Kerkeling refused and gestured him away, Akyol repeatedly stabbed him in the heart and chest area before passersby intervened.

In a statement to the prosecutor, Akyol reportedly confessed that in the morning he woke up and decided that on that day he would kill a Christian. “I wanted to kill a Christian that day and was visiting churches for this reason,” he told prosecutors, according to the Hurriet Daily News. “I saw the person and killed him.”

The question now, of course is where will the march about increasing 'Christianophobia' in the Muslim world be held?

Which street in Istanbul will be named after this slain tourist?

Best not hold our breath.

German Man Murdered in Turkey

A German tourist has been stabbed and killed in an apparently motiveless attack in Istanbul. It took the emergency services more than half an hour to move the dying man to a hospital which was just two minutes away.

Will there be riots in Germany? Did the Turkish government respond quickly and sensitively enough?

What's that, you say? They didn't comment at all?

The story didn't even warrant one mention in The Local?

How curious.

Deutscher Tourist in Istanbul erstochen

In der Innenstadt der türkischen Metropole Istanbul ist ein 45-jähriger deutscher Tourist durch einen Messerstich ins Herz getötet worden. Der Bundesbürger habe sich auf der Einkaufsstraße Istiklal Caddesi mit einem Unbekannten gestritten und sei von diesem dann mit einem Messer in die Herzgegend gestochen worden, meldete der Fernsehsender CNN-Türk.

A 45-year old German man was stabbed to the heart in Istanbul and murdered. The Germans had been shopping at Istiklal Caddesi market street and after an argument of some sort, a Muslim decided to stab him, reported the CNN's Turkey station.

Gregory K. was rushed to the near-by hospital but doctors there could not manage to save his life. The eyewitnesses told the CNN-Turkey that it took over half an hour to get the dying German to the hospital that was only 2 minutes away.

The Muslim murderer was caught by onlookers and he was handed over to the Turkish police. The reason for the dispute or murder is unknown.

Turk Receives Life Sentence for Killing Italian

A very unusual case from Turkey:

ANKARA, JUNE 25 - A criminal court in Turkey gave sentenced to life in prison a man who was found guilty of raping and killing an Italian performance artist, Anatolia news agency reports. The Italian artist, Pippa Bacca, was found dead on April 11, 2008 after being raped and then killed by Murat Karatash, a Turkish truck driver. Bacca departed from Milan in March 2008 together with a fellow artist Silvia Moro on a "Brides on Tour" journey, with both wearing bridal gowns and hitchhiking from Italy through southern Europe and the Middle East, with the intention of meeting up together at the end in Jerusalem.

Forced Conversions and Radicalisation in Bulgaria

Bulgaria fell under the Islamic yoke in 1393, and it wasn't free of Ottoman and Muslim influence in any meaningful sense until the late 19th Century.

In 1393, the Ottomans captured Tarnovo, the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, after a three-month siege. In 1396, the Vidin Tsardom fell after the defeat of a Christian crusade at the Battle of Nicopolis. With this, the Ottomans finally subjugated and occupied Bulgaria.^[29][30][31] A Polish-Hungarian crusade commanded by Władysław III of Poland set out to free the Balkans in 1444, but the Turks defeated it in the battle of Varna.

Some accounts of the five centuries of Ottoman rule highlight its violence and oppression. The Ottomans decimated the Bulgarian population, which lost most of its cultural relics. Turkish authorities destroyed most of the medieval Bulgarian fortresses in order to prevent rebellions. Large towns and the areas where Ottoman power predominated remained severely depopulated until the 19th century.^[9]

The new authorities dismantled Bulgarian institutions at anything above the village or communal level, and merged the separate Bulgarian Church into the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople, although a small, autocephalous Bulgarian archbishopric of Ohrid survived until January 1767.

Bulgarians in the Ottoman empire had to endure a number of disabilities; they paid more taxes than Muslims, they lacked legal equality with Muslims, they could not carry arms, their clothes could not rival those of Muslims in color, nor could their churches tower as high as mosques.^[32] Bulgarians who converted to Islam, the Pomaks, retained Bulgarian language, dress and some customs compatible with Islam.^[30][31]

Well, it seems that despite Bulgaria's membership of the European Union, Muslim influence is again on the march - but this time the threat isn't from Turks but Saudi Wahabists.

Here is an article by a Bulgarian MP which tells of the situation in some of Bulgaria's southern villages:

Despite Bulgaria's European Union membership, some regions of the country need a second liberation from Ottoman yoke, the Bulgarian Member of the Parliament (MP), Yane Yanev, stated, cited by the Bulgarian news agency, BGNES.

Yanev, who is the leader of the opposition "Order, Law, Justice" Party (RZS) spoke Monday in Blagoevgrad as reported by the local BGNES correspondent.

The leaders of RZS visited Monday several villages in Southern Bulgaria to meet with alarmed teachers and parents, who have presented concrete evidence of the imposed conversion to fundamentalist Islam in the region.

The example of the village of Ribnovo, in the Gurmen municipality, has been presented as the most striking one. In Ribnovo, the school principal, Feim Issa, had imposed full dictatorship on the teaching staff, forcing them to wear traditional Muslim clothes, and encouraging female student to the same. Issa has been illegally appointed as principal with help of the local mosque's leaders and is actively supporting the religion teacher at the school, Murat Boshnak.

Boshnak is, reportedly, an individual with suspicious past and unclear educational background. He is not holding even a Bulgarian high school diploma, but has graduated from a religious school in Skopje, Macedonia. Ribnovo residents allege that Boshnak has specialized in Saudi Arabia and is forcefully making parents to sign requests for their children to study the Islam. He is also demanding that children address him as "aga' instead of "gospodin" (Mister), had prohibited girls from attending the last prom in civil attire and issued a ban on celebrations.

Boshnak later organized a trip to Turkey with funds from an Arab foundation. Only one girl had attended the prom. Parents, who refuse to follow the fundamentalist rules, are being cursed during services in the local mosque.

Yanev had established similar examples in the village of Satovcha, where the school principal regularly attended classes in radical Islamism in an illegal local fundamentalist school. The principal was currently on maternity leave and, in order to keep the school under control, had appointed her own husband to replace her.

The residents of the villages visited by Yanev are not Turks; they are all Bulgarian-Muslims, speaking only Bulgarian language.

The RZS leader stated he was appalled by the extreme violations of the rights and freedoms of Bulgarian citizens, embedded in the Constitution. RZS distributed to the media video postcards, showing how radical Islam is quickly taking roots in the country, under the courteous watch of the ruling tri-party Coalition.

Yanev and his colleague Dimitar Abadzhiev vowed to signal the State Agency for National Security (DANS) about the citizens' rights violations in the region, which, they say, are sabotaging European values and leading the way of Islam in Europe.

I think this situation makes a very important point; once Islamic influence is entrenched, it does not die.

If Bulgaria, with just over 12% of its population Muslim, is a bridgehead for Islam in Europe, then what of Turkey and its aspirations to join the EU?

More importantly, what about the fact that Muslim Albania has already applied to join, and this was not really covered in any great depth by the media?

The future of Europe has the potential to be bleak as things stand, without inviting these Trojan horses to join.

The Armenian Genocide Հայոց Ցեղասպանություն

On this day in 1915, the events which would eventually lead to the destruction of between 1 and 1.5 million Armenians began in the Ottoman Empire.

The Red Sunday - (Armenian: Կարմիր Կիրակի) is the night which the leaders of Armenian community of the Ottoman capital, Constantinopole, and later extending to other centers were arrested and moved to two holding centers near Ankara by than the minister of interior Mehmed Talat Bey with his order on April 24, 1915 and later deported with the passage of Tehcir Law on 29 May 1915. In the larger framework of the Armenian Genocide the date 24 April, Genocide Remembrance Day, commemorates the Armenian notables deported from the Ottoman capital in 1915, which was a precursor to the ensuing events.

This precursor to the actual genocide saw around 270 notable Armenians deported from Constantinople. They included doctors, lawyers, teachers, writers, political leaders and clergy. A second wave of arrests swelled this figure to around 600 individuals.

The modern state of Turkey still insist that the word 'genocide' does not accurately depict the events which occurred; its government claims that mutual hostility led to civil war.

In reality the only hostility came from the fact that these non-Muslim 'dhimmis' might relinquish their second class status under secular democracy and would certainly concentrate power in certain regions; therefore they had to b destroyed, as did the Greeks, as did the Assyrians, and to a lesser extent as did the Kurds.

These events, and Turkey's refusal to accept them or the mindset which led to them, are a major reason why I see it as a backward, potentially dangerous state.

Like most Muslim countries, the Turks are more than happy to play the victim card when it suits them, but very rarely acknowledge the wrongs they have committed, and continue to commit.

Hypocrisy is not a very attractive trait - and after their behaviour in northern Iraq, that's exactly what their criticism of Israel's operations in Gaza is.

I would like this post to stand as a tribute to the Armenians killed in the early part of last century, and also to the current victims of the Turkish state.

We should never forget this slaughter and why it happened - nor should we forget who refuses to recognise it.
