In the video he explains just why he invited Mr Wilders to Britain, and makes some very harsh predictions about the future of England and Britain should the current trend of Islamisation and mass immigration continue:


Lord Pearson is one of the very few politicians unafraid to speak out on these issues, and for that he is to be commended. He is also part of a drive to take UKIP away from being a 'one issue party' which solely focuses on Europe to one which is noted for its opposition to mass immigration and Islamisation.

Everyone should see this video - especially any British people toying with the idea of marching for our freedom and our future tomorrow. Hopefully this will make up your mind either way.

Toronto Muslim Faked His Own Kidnapping

Furqan Muhammad-Haroon, 22, of Scarborough, was reported missing over the weekend. His family said he had been abducted.

In what police are now calling a hoax, a 22-year-old who claimed to have been kidnapped has been found.

In a Saturday afternoon phone call with a friend, Furqan Muhammad-Haroon told a harrowing tale.

The 22-year-old Scarborough engineering student, speaking from behind the wheel of his Mazda van, said he was being tailed by three men, one of whom had a gun.

His van was found soon after. Its keys were inside, while Mr. Muhammad-Haroon was not. Also missing was the thousands of dollars in cash he’d withdrawn in preparation for a trip to the United Arab Emirates that evening.

Police began an investigation into what was initially described as an abduction, but the case took puzzling turns early on.

Mr. Muhammad-Haroon had recently been charged with stealing a green plastic recycling bin stuffed with hard drives and other computer equipment from the office of his former employer, IBM Canada.

Teary-eyed family held a press conference on Monday, appealing for information in the abduction of their son, who had no criminal record.

Still, police remained tight-lipped. They had nothing to support the claim of abduction, and were said to be growing doubtful about the incident.

Tuesday evening, Toronto police announced that Mr. Muhammad-Haroon had been found safe in St. Catharines, Ont.

A police source said the devout Muslim was located near a mosque, although Ezeldin Ebadalla, past president of the local Masjid Al-Noor Mosque, said he had not heard of Mr. Muhammad-Haroon.

Police now say the abduction was a hoax, and have charged Mr. Muhammad-Haroon with mischief.

“Ah, that changes things,” Shahzad Siddiqui, a lawyer who had been speaking on behalf of the family, said last night when told of the charge. Mr. Siddiqui was asked earlier in the day whether the theft charge and disappearance were related. “We don’t know if it’s unrelated or not,” he said.

Mr. Muhammad-Haroon is to appear in a Scarborough court Wednesday on his mischief charge, and in Newmarket next month on the theft charge.

His uncharacteristic disappearance had stirred alarm among relatives and friends, who described him as a model student.

“If there is some hoax or some kind of extenuating circumstance, it would be very difficult for the family to accept that,” friend Firaaz Azeez said earlier in the day. Told last night of Mr. Muhammad-Haroon’s discovery, Mr. Azeez was relieved.

“That’s incredible news. … I’m elated and happy he’s safe,” he said. “In terms of how we got here, obviously there’s a lot to be said in the next few days."

Canadian Muslim Insists Islamic Slavery Was Enlightened

A leading Canadian Muslim academic, Mohamed Elmasry, has caused some controversy (well, one article in the National Post) after stating that Muslims have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to Islamic slavery (still widely practised) - because it as morally superior to the forms of slavery found in Christian societies.

He is in effect stating that the millions of Europeans and Africans enslaved by Islam were being done a service, by being absorbed into a peaceful, tolerant system, a kind of benevolent forerunner to the huge ethnic and cultural melting pot the world is supposed to be today.

This man is the former head of the Canadian Islamic Congress, and a teacher at the University of Waterloo; he is supposedly one of the 'moderates' we hear so much about.

Despite this, his comments have aroused little interest, never mind outrage. Can you imagine if a white American had said something similar?

If Islamic slavery was so peaceful and benign, then why aren't there large numbers of European Christians in north Africa and the Middle East today, as there are Africans in the U.S. and Brazil?

Here is the only critique I have found of his comments:

This just in from former Canadian Islamic Congress chief Mohamed Elmasry: Islamic slavery wasn't all that bad.

Writing in The Canadian Charger — a newly formed internet-based grab bag of anti-Western articles published by hard left Canadian activists — Elmasry works hard to distinguish the evils of Christian slavery from the purportedly enlightened race-mixing that resulted from its Islamic equivalent.

Some snippets: "Islam, with no church, teaches that all humans, irrespective of their gender, skin color, and ethnic origin are capable of doing good; there is no original sin. The One God is the Lord of all, not of special people or tribe … Islam and Africa have made something of each other that is quite extraordinary … Islam teaches that slaves, who were then the result of wars, Africans or not, should be treated well and set free as soon as possible … Islam also teaches that slaves can buy their freedom in-kind. Thus many of them excelled to be teachers and even scholars … Islam teaches a slave is a victim of circumstances who should be helped to be free and treated fairly in the mean time. Trading in slaves is a sin. This is in contrast to the teachings of the Bible, 'Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling.' … The Arab Muslims called Africans Zanji (hence the island of Zanjibar or Zanzibar), Habashi (from Habasha, Arabic for Ethiopian) or Sudani (Arabic for black). Such names “were not derogatory but simply ethnographic … Some [slaves] achieved high rank and status …" And so on.

The basic theme is that Islamic slavery — to the extent it was bad at all (and it's not really clear that Elmasry thinks it was) — was an enlightened, almost consensual, win-win exercise in regional multiculturalism. In his characteristically absurd elevation of Islam over Christianity, he makes no mention of the fact that religious Christians led the abolition movement in the West — while slavery persisted wholesale in the Arab world until late in the 20th century, and still survives in parts of Islamic Africa, including Sudan. Indeed, one wonders what the Christian tribespeople from southern Sudan who have been abducted, forcibly converted to Islam, and enslaved by Arab Muslims in recent years would make of Elmasry's historical fantasies.

It's amazing, isn't it? Our Christian leaders seem to do nothing but apologize these days — for every historical sin under the sun. But here you have a man who recently led the most prominent Muslim activist group in Canada, and he thinks it's just dandy that his Arab forebears colonized and enslaved great swathes of Africa over the course of many centuries — a colonial situation that essentially persists in Sudan and regions of the Maghreb.

Remember this the next time Elmasry or one of his fellow travelers denounces Western "imperialism."

I don't expect the Canadian authorities to care much about this - they're too busy tolerating mass Islamic prayers in downtown Toronto or running around after Somalis.

Perhaps if enough people speak up, someone might listen.

The Joys of Diversity in Canada

A few recent incidents of 'cultural enrichment' in Canada:

• A Kuwaiti cab driver offered passenger 'a friendly kiss', before putting his hand up her skirt:

OTTAWA — An Ottawa taxi driver found guilty of sexually assaulting a female passenger has been sentenced to two months of house arrest.

Hassan Jabar Majli, 36, stood with his arms behind his back as Ontario Superior Court Justice Denis Power sentenced him for the June 23, 2007 sexual assault in the lobby of a west-end apartment building.

Power said Majli “owed (the victim) a duty to convey her safely home at night.”

“Mr. Majli’s conduct is a serious breach of trust owed to the public at large and the complainant in particular,” said Power. “Citizens must feel safe hailing cabs, especially at night.”

Power, who said he had “considerable difficulty” arriving at a conditional sentence, said a term of incarceration in jail was not out of the question, but he took into account that the sexual assault Majli was convicted of was “not the most serious” and that Majli’s myriad of health problems would be better treated in the community.

Majli, who has since lost his taxi licence, was found guilty of sexual assault in May after court heard testimony from the victim, a teacher, about how the driver followed her into her apartment building and kissed her on the mouth as she tried to get on an elevator.

The victim, who can’t be identified because of a publication ban, testified the driver then put his hand up her skirt and digitally penetrated her as she tried to flee through a stairway door.

The woman admitted she had consumed 10 to 12 pints of beer before getting in the taxi outside the Heart and Crown in downtown Ottawa following a night of celebrating the last day of school.

In his decision, Power found there was sufficient evidence that Majli grabbed and kissed the woman, but concluded the Crown hadn’t proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he digitally penetrated her.

At trial, Majli testified that he believed the woman had asked for a kiss. According to Majli, the woman repeatedly used words in Arabic that she had learned from a friend that meant “I want a kiss” and “I love you.” Majli said he only offered her a “friendly” kiss when he became worried she would complain to his boss that he didn’t “please her.”

However, the judge found the woman, who testified she only used the Arabic phrases in a conversational manner, in no way consented to Majli’s advances and found Majli guilty of sexual assault.

Crown prosecutors had been asking Power to sentence Majli to 30 to 60 days in jail. Majli’s lawyer had been asking for a suspended sentence with credit for four days spent in pre-trial custody.

• A man convicted of sexually assaulting two sisters convinced a judge to give him bail - which he then skipped before sentencing:

OTTAWA-A man who convinced a judge not to send him to jail after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two children has been sentenced in absentia to three years in prison after disappearing.

Ibrahim Farhat, 34, received the sentence Tuesday after being found guilty by a jury in March of sexual assault and sexual interference for repeated incidents of sexual touching on two sisters between 1998 and 2003.

Crown prosecutors had been seeking to have him put in jail immediately following his conviction, but Farhat was released after his lawyer convinced Ontario Superior Court Justice Heidi Polowin that he was not a flight risk.

Farhat was “a man who had broken the law and walked away with it,” one of the sisters told the court in her victim impact statement.

“What were once my memories of childhood and adolescence are now his. What should have been some of the happiest, most freeing memories, he holds hostage,” said the now 23-year-old victim, who can’t be identified due to a publication ban.

“He has robbed me of them and turned them into his own. And now he is free. He may be running, but he is still running with freedom … his, mine and my sister’s,” she said.

“This man preyed on the innocence of children, on their weaknesses, their fears, and when he could not stop or help himself, he was brought to you to do so for him. And now we find ourselves lost,” she said, breaking down in tears.

Before passing sentence, the judge said Farhat’s flight “disturbed her greatly.” Polowin described how she accepted his lawyer’s arguments that he had never missed a court date, had a wife and three young children, was gainfully employed and had surrendered his passports.

Polowin said what most convinced her Farhat should be released was his promise to voluntarily attend a sexual behaviours assessment at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. Court heard he never even showed up for the initial appointment.

“This court put its trust in Mr. Farhat. His failure to attend for the sexual behaviours assessment, the pre-sentence report and his absconding is a breach of that trust,” said Polowin, who called his actions following his conviction “reprehensible.”

Trevor Brown was the lawyer who argued Farhat should be released following his conviction, but later asked to be removed from the case.

“All I can say is that I asked to be removed as counsel of record because he absconded from the jurisdiction and stopped communicating with me,” Brown said Tuesday. He said he could not make any further comment as he is still bound by lawyer-client confidentiality rules.

Polowin said there were several aggravating factors in the case, including Farhat’s serious breach of trust as someone close to the family of the victims. In several instances, Polowin said the sexual touching occurred when the father or other family members of the victims were in the next room. At the time of the incidents, the victims were between eight and 15 years old.

Assistant Crown attorney Moiz Karimjee asked Polowin to sentence Farhat to seven years in prison, a lengthy sentence he argued was justified given the nature of the crimes and the fact Farhat fled even though he knew prosecutors had concerns he would fail to show up for sentencing.

Karimjee said Farhat was “denying the victims the satisfaction of seeing that justice is done.

“They participated in a justice system, attended a preliminary hearing, testified at trial and now they are faced with Ibrahim Farhat not being present at sentencing,” said Karimjee.

However, Polowin found a seven-year sentence was too long considering case law from similar crimes and sentenced him to three years in prison instead.

Whether Farhat ever serves a day of that sentence is still in question. Ottawa police Det. Allison Cookson testified that the last contact anyone had with Farhat was in April.

Farhat’s wife and children have since left Canada for Lebanon, she said. Farhat, who was not represented during the hearing, is now being sought on an arrest warrant.

Attempts to locate Farhat have so far been unsuccessful, Cookson said, although police have received and are following up tips, including one that he has been seen in Calgary.

Before handing down her decision, Polowin told the two victims their “extremely” articulate and moving victim impact statements would help her be a better judge for years to come.

“It will help me as a judge to always remember the effect on the victim as we move through this process,” she said.

In her victim impact statement, the younger of the two sisters wrote about how the justice system goes to great lengths to remove “all that is humanistic” from the legal process.

“The emphasis is put on facts, litigation and reason,” the now 19-year-old woman said, leaving very little place for emotion.

“What I was depicting was not something I had seen. I was subjected to it. I felt it. I lived it,” the woman said, describing how it was easy to forget she was a victim. “In light of decisions made along the way, I find myself wondering if others in the court had too forgotten.”

The victim added that in her family and culture, she was “just a girl,” and had since had female relatives look at her in disgust and refuse to shake her hand, “not because I had been abused, but because I spoke it.” Neither her mother nor her father attended the sentencing hearing.

Farhat is described as Middle Eastern. He is five-foot-seven with a heavy build, short black hair, brown eyes and a moustache and goatee, according to police.

• A violent Somali who stabbed a man in the face during a burglary is fighting deportation from Canada:

A Somali Muslim refugee with a violent record in Winnipeg will be in federal court Tuesday trying to head off his deportation to Somalia where he maintains his life would be in danger because of his family's history there, according to Citizenship and Immigration Canada documents obtained by CBC News.

Mohamed Jama, 39, says his father was a general in the army of former Somalia strongman Mohamed Siad Barre, and was widely believed to have been killed after Barre was ousted in a coup in 1991.

He also says his brother was shot to death after the coup, and his family fled to the United States, after which he moved to Winnipeg.

When Jama came to Canada it was as a Geneva Conventions refugee, which normally would mean he could not be deported back to Somalia because of the unstable political situation there.

However, last December the immigration department ruled he was a danger to the public in Canada, a decision that effectively overrules the Geneva Conventions.

The ruling was based on the fact that in 2004, just a year after he arrived in Winnipeg, he was charged with a home invasion during which a man was stabbed in the face. Jama later pleaded guilty to the offence and was sent to prison.

• Police are appealing for information after a series of violent robberies in Ottawa:

OTTAWA — Seven violent fast-food restaurant robberies in Ottawa have police turning to the public for help.

Two to six suspects armed with knives, bats and sometimes a handgun would storm the eateries by their front and rear doors, and force employees to empty out cash registers and safes. The suspects would flee on foot.

Minor injuries were reported after some robberies though none required medical attention.

Police believe the robberies may be linked.

The robberies occurred from June 19 to July 8 at the following stores:

Domino’s Pizza, in the 500-block of Montreal Road on June 19.

Dairly Queen, in the 300-block of St. Laurent Boulevard on June 22.

Burger King, in the 200-block of Ogilvie Road on June 23.

Pizza Pizza, in the 1900-block of Montreal Road on June 26.

Pizza Pizza, in the 1300-block of Richmond Road on June 26.

Dairy Queen, in the 400-block of Terry Fox Drive on June 30.

Bobby’s Pizza, in the 1400-block of Ogilvie Road on July 8.

The suspects are described as male, black or middle-eastern and around 20 years old.

Political Correctness in Canada

A Canadian man originally from Jamaica has won a discrimination claim after being stopped by police whilst filling in for a postman in 2005.

The case basically determined that the officer in question, Constable Michael Shaw, committed the heinous act of 'racial profiling':

Ron Phipps admits he was criss-crossing Vernham Ave. the day he was stopped by police in the Bridle Path.

He was also wearing a Canada Post coat and carrying two mailbags while filling in for the regular letter carrier.

Toronto Police Const. Michael Shaw pointed that out to a new constable he was training as soon as they turned into the street. Shaw was also suspicious about Phipps, who is black, speaking to a homeowner but not delivering her any mail.

They also had instructions to investigate cut phone lines and look for suspects described as male, white and eastern European who were seen in a car.

The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario has ruled that by stopping Phipps on March 9, 2005, questioning him, trailing him and asking a white letter carrier to verify his identity, Shaw was guilty of racial profiling.

The fact that Phipps "was an African-Canadian in an affluent neighbourhood was a factor, a significant factor, and probably the predominant factor, whether consciously or unconsciously, in Const. Shaw's actions," adjudicator Kaye Joachim wrote in her decision last month.

At the hearing, Shaw contended each of Phipps' actions was suspicious, despite his uniform.

Joachim batted each one down.

"Letter carriers take vacation, retire and/or switch routes" so seeing a man with a mailbag he didn't know doesn't explain Shaw's suspicions, Joachim wrote.

"I do not accept Const. Shaw's evidence that the applicant was crossing the street back and forth in an unusual fashion. Const. Shaw was well aware that letter carriers do not stop at every house. It was not unusual to misdeliver mail and to go back and try to retrieve it.

"The fact that it was an African-Canadian male without a vehicle that attracted Const. Shaw's attention is what is unusual," wrote Joachim.

The ruling is just the first half of the case that started that chilly morning in March 2005.

The tribunal on Sept. 14 will hear the same accusations against the Toronto Police Services Board and Chief Bill Blair.

"This was always broader than Const. Shaw," Phipps said yesterday from his Thornhill residence.

"I know there is more than one Const. Shaw in the world."

This case is important, said law professor David Tanovich, because it is the second clear Ontario human rights tribunal ruling of racial profiling against police.

The first was against Peel Regional Police in 2007. Tanovich is academic director of the Law Enforcement Accountability Project at the University of Windsor.

"Most cases are not about overt racism. They're about stereotyping. I think the Bridle Path contributed. One of the assumptions is that this person is out of place," he said.

"The more positive findings we get, the greater focus on training and proper directives. Very few of these cases ever make their way to court."

Since the incident, Phipps said he has trouble sleeping and has lost weight, affecting his other job as a personal trainer. Medication to help him sleep has damaged his eyesight. He is "teased mercilessly" by co-workers, and his wife and parents fear repercussions from the police.

Phipps, 44, is asking for a financial award in the case; he won't say how much. He also wants the police to pair officers with partners "of a different race or culture" to teach them to "cope with difference."

Shaw is on "prolonged leave" from 33 Division, police said yesterday.

Phipps immigrated to Toronto from Jamaica as a child with his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

"I had no idea what racism was until I came to Canada."

In 1975, he was with a group of friends between 10 and 14 years old who stopped a police officer to ask directions, he said. Their response: "Do you pickaninnies think this is a cab?"

His own son is now 14. "I would like to be able to say, `If you have trouble, you can turn to a police officer.' But I can't say that."

We see a familiar pattern here; firstly, the cash of Canadian taxpayers being splashed around as if it grew on trees, but also the attitude of Phipps.

You'll note that despite Canada being so terribly racist, he won his claim and has apparently never considered returning to Jamaica to enjoy a well run, amiable society free of prejudice.

Whether he deserved to be stopped or not is open to debate, but I think the list of medical complaints he acquired after a policeman said 'excuse me' is stretching it a little.

All that aside, we also have the 're-education' angle: "He also wants the police to pair officers with partners "of a different race or culture" to teach them to "cope with difference."

Glancing at Toronto's most wanted list, I would assume that officers already have their fill of 'difference' whilst on the beat; no wonder their hearts aren't jumping with the joy of diversity.

Leading Anti-War Figure: "Long Live the Taliban"

This story from Canada's National Post demonstrates the degree to which the 'anti-war' and pacifist movements have been hijacked by radical Islamist rhetoric:

'Long live the Taliban" might seem an unlikely thing for a prominent anti-war figure to declare, but that's to-day's peace movement for you. Stranger still, the man who recently uttered those words, Azzam Tamimi, is being promoted by a new Toronto-based institute that says it is embarking upon a national campaign to cultivate wholesome, faith-based civic virtues among Canada's young Muslims.

The Mississauga, Ont.-based Al-Fauz Institute for Islamic Thought claims its purpose is to teach young Muslims how to apply Islamic ideas to Canada's pluralistic society and "prepare young minds that will take up the mantle of the Muslim community." But Tamimi -- who currently has top billing on the Al-Fauz website, and is listed as a member of the institute's "faculty" -- has loudly renounced democracy. Indeed, he recently proclaimed: "I don't believe in democracy anymore," explicitly praises suicide bombers, and says he is willing to blow himself up in Israel: "It's the straight way to pleasing my God and I would do it if I had the opportunity." He distinguishes good Muslims from their adversaries this way: "We love death. They love life."

You'd never know any of this from the billing the Al-Fauz Institute gives Tamimi. He's presented as a Palestinian-born British academic and a "political activist." His leading role with Britain's Stop The War Coalition is noted. But nowhere does the institute mention that Tamimi is also a high-ranking advisor to Hamas, an organization considered by Canada to be a terrorist group. His best-known book is titled Hamas: A History From Within. Nor is this fact mentioned by Toronto's Ryerson University, which is permitting Tamimi to deliver a four-day "intensive course on Islamic history" from July 24 to July 27.

Aside from Tamimi, five well-known Canadian imams are listed by the Al-Fauz Institute as "faculty" members. But the best known among them -- Hamid Slimi, chairman of the Canadian Council of Imams -- told me he'd never even heard of the institute. "I don't know anything about this," Slimi said. "I must be completely out of the loop."

Iqbal Masood Nadvi, the institute's "senior patron," denied any knowledge of Tamimi's dodgy associations or his various bloodcurdling pronouncements. "I am hearing this from you for the first time," he said. "I don't believe in the Taliban. What I know about Tamimi is he is an academic person."

Nadvi referred further questions to the Al-Fauz Institute's co-ordinator, Junaid Mirza, who had taken the lead in bringing Tamimi onboard. While Mirza was quite familiar with Tamimi's political background, he said it was Tamimi's academic expertise in the history of Islamic reform movements that landed him the institute faculty post and the Ryerson gig. But if the point is to present Canadians with "a balanced and comprehensive vision of Islam," isn't a character like Azzam Tamimi pretty well the worst choice the Al-Fauz Institute could have made?

"We'll have other points of view down the road, too," Mirza said.

As for Tamimi's support for the Taliban, Mirza claims that's not so clear. "It's not a blanket defence," Mirza said. And what about Tamimi's grisly advocacy of suicide bombing? Mirza says the subject isn't expected to come up during Tamimi's lectures, which will look back on 1,400 years of Islamic history.

"This is an academic discussion," says Mirza. "We're not trying to get people motivated and inspired like you would at a political rally."

Is the Al-Fauz Institute really interested in helping young Muslim Canadians make healthy contributions to this country's mosaic? Azzam Tamimi preaches a toxic, anti-democratic Islamism and espouses a decidedly oppressive way of life. The Al-Fauz Institute must be called to account -- Canadians deserve to know just what this group has planned.

Muslim Politicians Charged for Gang Rape in Ontario

The Ontario PC Party has dissolved its Barrie riding association after two board members were charged with gang sexual assault.

Riding association president Sarfraz Warraich, 42, of Barrie, has been charged with gang sexual assault and attempting to obstruct justice.

A second board member, 43-year-old Barrie resident Arif Mehmood, has also been charged with gang sexual assault.

Warraich turned down several requests to resign, according to two board members.

"I'm quite disgusted, actually," said board member Pat Hebert. "To me, it's just unconscionable, the charges, and that this gentleman has not stepped aside."

Warraich, a mortgage agent, was elected riding association president April 28.

When reached by Sun Media yesterday, Warriach directed questions to his lawyer, David Wilcox, who did not immediately return phone calls.

Also charged with gang sexual assault are Ashfaq Gondal, 50, of Barrie; Sardar Muhammad, 45, of Barrie; and Zaidy Hussian, 37, of Innisfil. None of them are linked to the riding association, according to sources.

All five men -- four of whom have their occupations on court documents listed as taxi drivers -- are scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday.

An interpreter in Erdu, an official language in Pakistan, has also been requested for the court proceedings.

There is a publication ban on information that could identify the complainant or witnesses.

Canada 'Can't Deport' Convicted Sex Offender

Canadian immigration officials are tying themselves up in red tape because a convicted drug dealer and sex offender from Iran might not get a very pleasant reception if he is deported.

So, they let him go free with some parole conditions instead:

A convicted sex offender and drug dealer who was supposed to be deported from Canada after leaving Manitoba's Stony Mountain Penitentiary this week is free on bail and remains in the country.

Farid Noedost, 33, is an Iranian refugee convicted two years ago of drug trafficking and sex offences involving minors. His convictions should have meant his immediate deportation once he was released on parole but on Thursday, Noedost went before an Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada hearing in an effort to prevent being sent away.

He told the board he would face execution if he was sent back to Iran. Immigration officials agreed, ruling the danger Noedost faced in being sent back outweighed the risks he poses to the Canadian public.

Michael McPhelan of the Immigration and Refugee Board, who ordered Noedost's release with strict conditions, called the man's conduct while in Canada 'despicable' and said he was a "danger to girls under 18."

McPhelan also said he was not convinced Noedost would not reoffend, but said there were no grounds to keep him locked up. Noedost has served his sentence.

Canadian immigration law states that a Geneva Convention refugee can't be deported unless the federal public safety minister declares him to be a dangerous offender.

Noedost came to Canada years ago and was given asylum as a Geneva Convention refugee. He was granted permanent resident status in 2001.

His lawyer told the immigration board that Noedost was granted the status because of the persecution he suffered in Iran.

Canada Border Services has asked for Noedost to be designated as a dangerous offender but no hearing has been scheduled yet.

While on parole, Noedost is prohibited from being around female minors and is required to meet weekly with a parole officer and monthly with immigration officials.

At least they're honest about it - this man's safety matters far more than that of the Canadian public.

Which Western country is getting the most out of its immigration policy? Today's contenders are Sweden, Canada and Britain.


1) Sweden

A mildly retarded teenage girl was raped by two immigrant youths. Not only was this incident not covered by the mainstream press, the two local papers that did pick it up tried to garner sympathy for the youths, referring to them as 'refugee children' (flyktingbarn).

A fifteen-year-old girl with a slight retardation was forced to an apartment in Gävle, where she was raped by two young men. Both men had non-consensual vaginal intercourse with the young girl. Such an incident ought to have generated a big black headlines in the press. This is what the state’s “free and unfettered” news reporting looks like. SR [Swedish State’s Radio and Television — translator] didn’t even manage to pick the right month in their report. The rape happened in March.

Sveriges Radio Gävleborg — 2009-06-23

Two boys 17 and 19 years old were convicted today of the rape of a 15-year-old girl in an apartment in Gävle at the beginning of May. The 19-year-old was sentenced to two years in prison and the 17-year-old to juvenile detention for eight months. In addition they must also pay 82,500 Swedish Kronor for damages to the girl.]

Immediately after 7pm on March 8 a girl calls SOS [911 equivalent] and says that she has been raped by two men. A police patrol picks up the girl and transports her to the hospital. A medical exam is conducted with a so-called “rape kit”. The girl is able to identify the apartment where the rape took place, and the police conduct a house search; the apartment is owned by the two convicted rapists.

Gävle municipal court B 621-09 and conviction is announced on June 23, 2009.

• Ali Rasoul Mohamed, born 1991 and citizen of Iraq is convicted by the court on the following counts

1.		Abuse
2.		Illegal Threats
3.		Rape

The consequence is confinement to juvenile detention for 8 months and expulsion from the country with an order not to return for 10 years. To the raped girl he shall pay 85,000 kronor in damages.

• Twana Salmon Mustafa, born 1990 and citizen of Iraq is convicted to two years of prison. He shall be expelled from the country with an order not to return within 10 years. Furthermore he shall pay 85,000 Kronor in damages to the raped girl.

Costs for a public defense and legal counsel for the girl is paid by the state, and the total amount is 149,142 kronor.

Ali Rasoul Mohamed is also convicted for abuse and illegal threats; this incident takes place in “Sesam”, which is a home for so-called “unaccompanied refugee kids”. It is some brawl in the kitchen with a bread-knife against another refugee kid that he is convicted of.

The rapes: — The girl doesn’t really want to follow the two men, but since they are pushing her [literally] and one of the men holds her arm, she reluctantly follows them to the apartment on Urbergsterassen in Gävle. Inside the apartment one of the men goes into the kitchen and closes the door. The girl is alone with Twana Salmon Mustafa, who starts kissing her, even though she dodges this and says that she wants to go home. Twana Salmon Mustafa pushes her towards two beds, pulls her over and starts undressing her. When the girl is naked Twana Salmon Mustafa takes off his own clothes, hurts her legs and consummates intercourse with her. When he is “finished” he calls Ali Rasoul Mohamed, who is in the kitchen. He enters the room basically naked, dressed only in a shirt, and consummates vaginal intercourse with the girl.

The girl’s mother and [maternal] grandmother testify in court that the girl alternates between crying and despair, and that chaos has entered the family since the rape. The plaintiff dares not go outside alone after the rape. The mother says that the girl’s logical reasoning is on par for her age but her maturity is five years behind her real age.

Rasoul Mohamed tells the court that the girl wanted to have sex with him after Twana Salmon Mustafa had had intercourse with her. Twana Salmon Mustafa says that he has never had sex with a girl who is 15-16 years old and that he has never forced any girl to have sex with him.

The city court finds the girl’s story credible coupled with the technical evidence such as DNA from the perpetrator. The policeman who picked up the girl after the rapes is also in the court and supports the girl’s story.

Both men lack attachment to Sweden and shall be convicted to expulsion from the kingdom. If the verdict is to be appealed, the last date for this is July 14, 2009.

2) Canada

An Afghan murderer dubbed the 'Midway Killer' in Ottawa has committed a lengthy list of crimes and infractions during his six years in jail - but his defence insist that he has served so long on remand for manslaughter that he should be released:

OTTAWA — Prosecutors seeking lengthy jail time for Midway killer Wahab Dadshani have produced a list of misdemeanours that the 31-year-old committed during his almost six years in jail.

A jury found Afghanistan-born Dadshani guilty of manslaughter last month in the September 2003 killing of Charbel Chaar at the Midway Family Fun Park, off St. Laurent Boulevard.

Chaar, who was badly beaten during the attack, died from blood loss after Dadshani attacked him with a sword.

There is a significant gulf between the 15-year sentence assistant Crown prosecutor Robert Wadden is seeking and the immediate released being sought by Dadshani’s lawyers. Now, what was scheduled as a two-day sentencing hearing, will last at least another day.

Wadden called Ottawa Regional Detention Centre security manager Jean-Marc Joly Tuesday to testify about Dadshani’s disciplinary record that dates back to Oct. 10, 2003, a month after he was arrested.

Joly listed about a dozen infractions that included refusing a strip search for religious reasons, spitting on a cell door, inciting other prisoners, smoking tobacco in his cell, refusing to leave a staff passageway after being asked three times to do so and using profanity while suggesting that another inmate should be forced to engage in a sexual act with “a 1,000 mules.”

He was also disciplined for possessing a newspaper story containing a photograph of the institution’s deputy superintendent Mark Grady — not a contravention of rules, said Joly, but an incident that made prison authorities concerned about Grady’s safety.

Dadshani has spent much of his incarceration at the Ottawa facility in “closed confinement” meaning he has been locked in a cell for more than 23 hours, with 20 minutes allowed for exercise.

During time “in the hole” prisoners have a metal bed without a mattress (until night time) and are allowed one book. They eat in their cell, segregated from other prisoners.

Under questioning from defence lawyer Mark Ertel, Joly said Dadshani had also periods in segregation because of construction at the jail.

Dadshani is currently in solitary although not for any specific offence, added Joly.

Ertel has told Justice Hugh McLean that any extra prison time for the manslaughter conviction would be excessive punishment.

Ertel said the 31-year-old should be given two-for-one credit for the almost six years he has already been in custody and be immediately released.

During the early part of Dadshani’s detention, conditions have sometimes been considered so bad at the Ottawa facility that judges were giving three-for-one credit for time served there — a fact Ertel has signalled he intends to raise during the hearing, which continues on Wednesday.

3) Britain

A violent train robber has been jailed for mugging and threatening to stab a string of commuters in South London:

A Crystal Palace man who threatened to stab his victims in a spate of robberies on trains in Streatham, Tulse Hill and West Norwood has been jailed for three-and-a-half years.

Gabriel Matu, 18, of no fixed address but local to the Crystal Palace area, robbed seven passengers between December 20 last year and January 28.

He targeted victims for their mobile phones and threatened to “shank” - stab - them if they did not hand over their possessions.

He was arrested after British Transport Police (BTP) used CCTV to trace his movements after he robbed a man on board a train at Streatham railway station, then was stopped by a ticket inspector for travelling without a ticket.

Each of the victims was put through a frightening ordeal by Matu, the BTP said.

Detective Constable Oliver Gilbert, of BTP's south London robbery squad, said: “The victims were cornered on a moving train and with no means of escape, and Matu was able to put them in such fear that they handed over their property.

“These offences were extremely serious - although no knife was ever seen by the victims - Matu intimated that he had one.”

Canadian Arab Federation: "F*** Canada"

A tale of immigrant gratitude from the National Post:

As Canada Day 2009, our 142nd birthday, draws to a close here in Montreal, I suppose it’s just as well I didn’t plan to attend any fireworks display, because – surprise! – it’s starting to rain. Of course, one needn’t attend fireworks displays, or march in parades or hang huge flags out one’s window in Canada to prove one’s patriotism. Indeed, our lowkey attitudes – even phlegmatism – with regard to outward signs of patriotism distinguish us from our more flamboyant neighbours to the south.

Nevertheless, like so many of my fellow citizens, no Canada Day passes without my spending a good deal of it in reflection on how blessed I and my family are to live in this great, peaceful country, as benign and well-meaning a nation as one is able to find on this troubled globe. No country is perfect, but what unmolested Canadian could fail to feel blessed in his or her good fortune?

Well, one springs to mind. Vancouver-based Omar Shaban is the Vice President for western Canada of the Canadian Arab Federation, and he is definitely not feeling the gratitude vibe. Quite the opposite. Shaban has labelled Canada a “genocidal state” and described our national holiday on Facebook as “F*** Canada Day,” adding, to be sure he had made his point, “It’s finally Canada Day…Couldn’t be more ashamed to be Canadian.” Shaban is no aberration in the CAF.

As staunchly anti-Islamist Tarek Fatah reported here: “While one VP of the Canadian Arab Federation was throwing insults at Canada, another Vice President of CAF was on cable TV showering praise on the discredited leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Appearing on a Muslim cable TV show, Ali Mallah endorsed the election of President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad as valid, and echoed the official line of the Tehran regime, claiming Western governments and Western Media were to blame for the current unrest in Iran. “

You will recall that in February of this year Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced he would slash federal funding to the Canadian Arab Federation (CAF) after its president, Khaled Mouammar, called him a “professional whore” for supporting Israel. This was not a one-off. During the 2006 Liberal leadership campaign, the CAF initiated a smear campaign against Bob Rae solely on the grounds that his Jewish wife was active in her community. The CAF are also 9/11 conspiracy theorists, and last year sponsored an essay contest on “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine,” in which it urged high school students to channel the group’s own fervid hatred of Israel for prizes.

As Jonathan Kay noted February 17 here, “Last year, the National Post editorial board hosted Mouammar and a CAF colleague for an editorial board meeting. To our collective shock, they laid blame for virtually every problem the world faces on Israel – including the alienation of Arab-Canadian children in Canada’s public school system. (One explained that he had sent his daughter for education overseas – because the inclusion of Israel in Canadian textbooks was too traumatic for her to endure.)”

Many liberals reflexively rose up to challenge Jason Kenney’s announcement that the government would no longer fund the CAF. The wonder to any objective observer of this hateful group is how they ever came to get a red cent from the government in the first place. Nobody in this country is forced to celebrate Canada Day, but it’s a bit much, even for us phlegmatic types, to witness the alleged spokesman of a cultural community spewing hatred against a democracy they had no part in making, and whose freedoms and security, so unlike the countries they come from, they apparently take for granted. To bite the hands of one’s benefactor on the most symbolic day of the benefactor’s year is a provocation that must not go unchallenged.

There is tolerance and there is masochism. We too often confuse them in this naive and well-meaning nation. It is past time that this intolerant and subversive organization folded its tents and retreated from the public forum. It is a disgrace to all Arabs, and it is, by the way, past time that we heard the same from a sizable number of Arab-Canadians. Loud and clear.

Culturally Enriching Crime in Canada

Several incidents have come to light recently in Canada, the vast majority of which seem to be connected to what we at The Lambeth Walk refer to as 'the joys of diversity and cultural enrichment'.


1) A Muslim doctor is accused of twice sexually assaulting a teenage boy at a children's hospital in Winnipeg. Police aren't ruling out the possibility of more victims coming forward:

Investigators and the WRHA aren't ruling out the potential for additional complaints against Walid Abdelhamid, who police identified yesterday as the doctor accused of twice sexually assaulting a patient Monday between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

A source said the alleged assaults occurred against a teenage boy in a patient room at the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg, which is part of the Health Sciences Centre campus.

Graham said Abdelhamid was licensed to treat patients, including children, at HSC, where he has worked for two years.

Such an incident at a Winnipeg hospital is extremely rare, officials said.

Const. Jacqueline Chaput, a police spokeswoman, said the patient wasn't physically injured but is emotionally traumatized.

"They're struggling through this," Chaput said of the patient's family.

Police have charged Abdelhamid, 29, with sexual assault, sexual interference, and sexual exploitation. He is in custody and may apply for bail in a Winnipeg courtroom today.

Abdelhamid is a resident doctor in the University of Manitoba's faculty of medicine. He isn't a Canadian citizen.

In a statement, the U of M said Abdelhamid is a postgraduate medical resident "sponsored under the auspices of a visa trainee agreement with international partners."

2) Youths have been rioting and causing trouble in certain areas of Montreal North. Although their backgrounds and intentions are not specified, some say the trouble is connected to the police shooting of a Honduran immigrant last year.

Quebec's Public Security Minister Jacques Dupuis blames rioting in Montreal North on a 'handful of agitators' who were out to disrupt life in the area.

His comments Wednesday were made in response to rioting that took place Tuesday night, ending with nine people being charged with mischief, assault and disturbing the peace. Those arrested are between the ages of 18 and 28.

Dupuis assured Quebecers the government is doing everything in its power to ease tensions in Montreal North, adding police are also working to get to the bottom of exactly what happened Tuesday night.

He also said he doesn't think there is any link between the riot and the stalled coroner's inquest into the shooting death of Fredy Villanueva by a police officer last summer in Montreal North, which triggered widespread rioting.

An altercation with police broke out just after 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday when police tried to get a group of young people to leave a neighbourhood park.

Const. Daniel Lacoursière said police got a call about a fight in Carignan Park, near the intersection of Rolland Boulevard and Renoir Street.

“When police got there, the fight was over. Some kids left the park and there was about 50 to 75 kids remaining in the park. So police preventatively stayed in the park so the fight wouldn't start over again,” said Lacoursière.

Some of the young people then began throwing objects at police cruisers. The officers ordered the crowd to leave but were ignored.

For a couple of hours, dozens of police officers played a game of cat-and-mouse with youths in the streets around the park.

The youths threw bottles and set fires in garbage cans, damaging storefronts, cars and bus shelters in the area.

One officer received minor injuries to his face and arm. Police said there may be more arrests.

Seven men were arraigned at the Montreal courthouse yesterday on charges ranging from assault to attempted murder, in the wake of the violent confrontation at the corner of Rolland Blvd. and Renoir St. that thrust the district back into the public spotlight. Kept in detention, all are to appear in court today for bail hearings. Five are in their 20s. Two are 19-year-old twins.

Three men arrested for home invasion

OTTAWA — Police arrested three men in their early 20s accused of committing a home invasion in Morrisburg on Saturday afternoon.

The men, whose names have not been released, allegedly broke into an apartment and assaulted the resident. They were arrested a short distance from the apartment.

They are charged with breaking and entering, mischief, obstruction, breach of probation and breach of recognizance. A 23-year-old male is to appear in Morrisburg court August 4. Two other men aged 21 and 24 are in custody pending a later appearance in Cornwall court.

Man charged with impaired driving on 401

Police arrested a 36-year-old male for drunk driving during a traffic stop Sunday night.

Police also found small amounts of marijuana in his car when they stopped his car on Highway 401 near Morrisburg, about 80 kilometres south of Ottawa. He has been charged with several offences, including impaired driving, possession and failure to provide a breath sample. He will appear in Morrisbury court on August 4.

18-year-old charged with break-in in Berwick

An 18-year-old man faces mischief and break and enter charges after an attempted break-in Saturday morning

Police say the man tried to kick in the garage door of a home in Cockburn St., Berwick, Ont., 60 kilometres south-east of Ottawa. OPP arrested the 18-year-old a short distance from the residence.

He will appear in a Cornwall court July 28.

OTTAWA — Ottawa police are investigating an overnight stabbing near the Baseline Transit Station.

Police were called to the scene at 12:47 a.m. Monday and found a 17-year-old male who had been stabbed.

He underwent surgery for a punctured lung, but his wounds are not considered life-threatening and he was listed in stable condition Monday morning.

Police say the attack occurred on NCC land adjacent to the Transitway.

No arrests have been made and police are asking anyone with information to call West Division police at 613-236-1222 ext. 2212 or Crimestoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).

Monday’s stabbing comes on the heels of a stabbing on an OC Transpo bus Friday afternoon that sent a 29-year-old man to hospital with a collapsed lung. That attack occurred on a No. 12 bus near Blair and Montreal roads. A young woman was arrested shortly after that attack.

Ottawa car chase ends in backyard

OTTAWA – Police have arrested two men after a high speed chase up Bank Street came to a crashing halt when the stolen dark green car plunged through a fence and into the backyard of an area home.

Paul Gallien was rollerblading when he saw the vehicle blowing by cars on Bank Street, south of Alta Vista Drive, with two police cars in hot pursuit.

As it approached Heron Road the car swerved through the Tim Horton’s on the south-east corner, narrowly missing one man whose clothes were ruffled by the car’s wake, Gallien said. He saw the car briefly became airborne as it crossed a grassy embankment before merging east on to Heron Road.

One block later the car turned south on Edge Hill Place, where it spun out and crashed into the backyard of the house on the south-east corner of Edge Hill and Anoka Street.

Police arrested one man in the car, and the other in a park one block south of the crash.

Police found items in the car they say are linked to an earlier break-in in the Bank and Heron area.

No one was injured in the chase.

Amanda Lindhout 'Fears Dying in Captivity'

I have written previously about Amanda Lindhout, the Canadian journalist captured in Somalia by militants.

It was reported at the time that the 27 year old was pregnant after being raped repeatedly by her captors, who are demanding $2.5 million for her release.

It seems that yesterday someone claiming to be her contacted a Canadian news agency:

A woman claiming to be Amanda Lindhout, a freelance Canadian journalist being held hostage in Somalia, called CTV’s National newsroom Wednesday afternoon, appearing to be reading from a statement in which she says she fears dying in captivity and pleads with the Canadian government to help bring her home.

“I’ve been held hostage by gunmen in Somalia for nearly 10 months. I’m in a desperate situation, I’m being kept in a dark, windowless room in chains, without any clean drinking water and little or no food. I’ve been very sick for months without any medicine,” she told CTV News.

She said she’s in need of “immediate aid” and begs the Canadian government to help her family to pay her ransom. “Without it, I will die here,” she said.

“I also tell them that they must deal directly with these people, (for) my life depends on it.”

Lindhout is a freelance print and television journalist from Sylvan Lake, Alta.

She travelled to Somalia on Aug. 20 to cover the famine and violence in Sudan for a French television station.

Three days after arriving in the capital city of Mogadishu, she and a group, including photographer Nigel Brennan of Australia, left a hotel to visit a refugee camp about 30 kilometers to the south. They were stopped on the road and abducted.

The kidnappers have been identified as a group called the Mujahedeen of Somalia, They originally demanded $2.5 million but have lowered their ransom price to $1 million.

According to reports, it’s believed the pair’s captors are moving them from location to location — and that negotiations for their release have broken down a number of times.

At the time of the abduction, Lindhout was 27 and Brennan was 37. The other members of the group, all locals, were released.

Lindhout had also worked in Afghanistan and has reported from overseas for Alberta’s Red Deer Advocate newspaper.

Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs would not comment on the case.

Transcript of the telephone statement made to CTV News from someone purporting to be Amanda Lindhout on Wednesday, June 10, 2009:

”Um. Yeah. I have a statement I can read and that’s all I can say. So…My name is Amanda Lindhout. I’m a Canadian citizen and I’ve been held hostage by gunmen in Somalia for nearly 10 months. I’m in a desperate situation. I’m being kept in a dark, windowless room in chains without any clean drinking water and little food or no food. I’ve been very sick for months without any medicine.

I’m begging my government and fellow Canadian citizens to assist my family in paying my ransom. The Canadian government must have some duty to help its citizen in such a crisis, and my fellow citizens to assist me by putting pressure on my government.

I love my country and I want to live to see it again. Without food or medicine, I will die here and I’m in need of immediate aid. I implore my family whom I love more than anything to continue searching for money for my release. Without it, I will die here.

I will also tell them that they must deal directly with these people, if my life depends on it. My life is worth more than any money spent. To fellow journalists in Canada, please help bring attention to my situation and contribute in anyway possible, in order that I may return home to Canada. That’s all I can say.”

I must say I have mixed feelings about this.

I genuinely sympathise with Lindhout and her colleague and wish for their well being and safe release.

However, I do wonder what they were doing there in the first place, and just what they hoped to achieve.

The ransom will be used to fund terrorist activity, Islamist gangs and bandits, as well as kill and maim innocent people.

Once the Canadian government is seen as willing to negotiate and pay a ransom, Canadian citizens may well be in more danger in the more troubled regions of the world.

Let's hope that if anything, people learn from Lindhout's mistake.

Saudi Diplomat Rams Police Car in Ottawa

A man who allegedly led Ottawa police on a high-speed chase in an SUV and then collided head-on with a police cruiser was released from custody after he claimed diplomatic immunity, officers say.

While the suspect’s identity has been kept secret since the crash early Tuesday, CTV News has learned the man is a 30-year-old foreign envoy from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s embassy hasn’t confirmed nor denied that information. Staff at the embassy have also refused to speak on the record about the alleged link.

The unnamed SUV driver wasn’t hurt in the crash, but the officer behind the wheel of the police cruiser suffered minor injuries.

Neither local police nor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will release any information about the suspect.

When asked about the incident, Deepak Obhrai, parliamentary secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon, cited privacy issues and referred all questions to local police.

A statement from Cannon’s office confirmed “that a person with diplomatic status faces criminal charges in connection with an incident of dangerous driving.”

The statement said there was no indication that alcohol was involved and that Ottawa will push for charges to be laid in a Canadian court.

“The Department will request that the individual’s government waive the appropriate immunities in order for any charges to be heard in a Canadian court.”

But NDP MP Paul Dewar said that response isn’t good enough and said the suspect’s name would be released “if a police cruiser was hit by anyone else.”

While Ottawa police say they are working with the Crown Attorney and the Department of Foreign Affairs to “pursue appropriate charges,” diplomatic immunity could allow the suspect to sidestep Canada’s justice system.

According to Liberal MP Dan McTeague, pursuing criminal charges against foreign diplomats isn’t a simple matter.

“They are not subject to the laws of the country,” he said. “They can’t be prosecuted, so it really becomes a matter between state to state.”

About 5,000 embassy workers currently have diplomatic immunity in Ottawa, and Tuesday’s crash is raising fresh questions about the practice.

This year, there have been three cases involving diplomatic immunity, including allegations of shoplifting and a suspected domestic dispute.

Last year, there were 14 incidents, including two allegations of drunk driving.

Perhaps Canada’s most infamous case of diplomatic immunity occurred in 2001, when an impaired Russian diplomat got behind the wheel of a car and struck Ottawa lawyer Catherine MacLean.

MacLean was killed and the Russian diplomat was shipped home.

However, diplomatic pressure from Canada led to a trial and conviction in Russia.

An overview of which Western nation is getting the most out of its immigration policy - and which Western government is betraying its people the most. Today's contenders are Spain, Canada and the Netherlands.

1) The Netherlands

At the end of last month, an 18 year old Dutch woman was cycling along a path in Gouda. Five Moroccan youths stopped her and 'handled her indecently' before she managed to break loose and call the police.

Upon rounding up the suspects, the police found that the youngest was 7 years old and the eldest 12 years old. It is apparently the first time that a 7 year old has been arrested for indecent assault in the Netherlands. I wrote recently about a 12 year old Muslim boy arrested for sexually assaulting two women in Britain.

The police had to let the boys go because of their age.

Just a day or two later, two Dutch teenage girls were knocked from their bikes and pelted with stones by a group of five older Moroccan males. After knocking them to the ground and calling them 'cancer whores' their bikes were thrown down on top of them.

One suffered concussion and both had scrapes and bruises.

2) Canada

A Muslim immigrant in Toronto lodged a complaint with the landlady of his block of flats - because a Canadian infidel neighbour wished his wife 'good morning':

When the landlady of my Toronto apartment building said an outraged neighbour had filed a complaint about me over an apparently inappropriate hallway interaction with his wife, my mind raced through the countless conversations I’ve had with fellow tenants, none of which seemed a possible source of offence.

It turns out, it wasn’t a salacious transaction that had caused the complaint, but rather a neighbourly and — to me — entirely forgettable greeting, little more than a brief “good morning” as I passed my neighbours on the way to work.

Still, it was enough of an affront for the man — once a doctor somewhere in the Middle East, my landlady clarified — to feel I had broken a cultural taboo. The incident started an awkward feud which has involved warnings not to repeat my indiscretion and one face-to-face shouting match, which included allusions to my impending death.

I expect the battle will wage on, as we appear to be stuck at an impasse.
His Muslim upbringing has ingrained in him a sense of entitlement to demand I not speak directly to his wife; and my prairie upbringing has ingrained in me a duty to strive for polite cohesion with my neighbours.

My landlady, who has handled the complaint with tittering trepidation, hasn’t helped dispel the friction. She has told me to adhere to the demands because the man “could be dangerous,” directing me to literally turn my back to the couple as they pass, never make eye contact and never hold the elevator for them, no matter what.

Life among neighbours has become increasingly complicated by multiculturalism, in this case making even the most affable salutation or good Samaritan gesture a practice in walking on eggshells. But in trying to adapt to a patchwork of often conflicting cultures, has civility become the casualty of accommodation?…

The funny thing about this is that if this man did start ignoring his neighbors, never holding the elevator for them, never greeting them, etc., onlookers would think him “xenophobic” and say that his coldness was the kind of thing that made Muslim immigrants feel alienated and lash out in terrorist acts.

3) Spain

On Friday Spanish police arrested 23 Nigerian men for using Voodoo curses to force women into prostitution throughout Spain:

The women were recruited in Nigeria with false promises of legal employment and then illegally brought to Spain where they were forced to work as prostitutes, police said in a statement.

Police said the ring carried out "voodoo rituals and black magic to frighten the women and keep them always under control with the threat of 'destroying their souls" or 'making them crazy'."

All the money which the women earned was kept by the ring until they had paid off the debt they incurred to make the trip to Spain, which typically amounted to 50,000 euros (£44,000), police said.

Police carried out searches of 10 residences as part of their operation and seized material used in voodoo rituals, computer equipment as well as several passports and other documents.

They opened their investigation in February after receiving a complaint from a woman in the southeastern city of Seville who said she had been one of the ring's victims.

The women who were recruited by the ring in Nigeria were brought by bus and truck to Libya. From there they were taken to Italy by boat and brought overland to Spain.

Earlier this month in the Netherlands, the trial of 11 people accused of using voodoo curses to force up to 150 Nigerian girls into prostitution in Europe was adjourned until later this year.

Prosecutors alleged that between 140 and 150 Nigerian girls helped into the Netherlands as asylum seekers had disappeared from asylum centres in 2006 and 2007.

About a dozen of the girls were traced, while the rest were thought to have been forced into prostitution in Italy, Spain and France. Most were minors at the time, their ages ranging from 16 to 23.

A brief update on my previous post.

Contributor Abu Abdullah sends this link to the ten most wanted individuals in the Canadian province of Quebec. All but one are non-Western immigrants, as can be seen below:

A cursory search of Google led me to a few more. Here is the link for San Francisco PD's ten most wanted.

Massachusetts State Police, well away from the Mexican border, still sees a similar pattern.

The one that surprised me the most was Rhode Island's list; four of the eight suspects sought are Hispanic.

Last but not least, here is the list for St. Louis, Missouri. The most interesting thing about this one is their creative interpretation of a 'white' suspect. Of ten individuals listed, only one is actually white; however the list classes a Hispanic suspect, an Indian suspect and a suspect with a Muslim name as 'white' - take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

I am very interested in the lists for other European countries, especially Scandinavia, Germany, France, Spain and Italy, as well as Australian, Canadian or US states, cities and provinces. The Colour of Crime

One of the themes of this blog is that mass immigration from the Third World is an overwhelmingly bad thing for any Western country which experiences it.

This view would seem to be backed up by examining the 'most wanted' lists of various Western police forces.

If we look at Scotland Yard's 12 most wanted, we find that only three are Englishmen. There are also local results - I will highlight the London Borough of Lambeth. Of four, one is on the main page and the other three are not British.

The list is mainly made up not of Yardie gangsters, as I expected, but of Allah's faithful. The man most wanted by the Metropolitan police is still Farouk Abdulhaq, the Arab wanted in connection with the 2008 sexual assault and murder of Norwegian student Martine Vik Magnussen, whose body was found dumped in rubbish with severe neck injuries.

A similar profile can be found in the Netherlands. Here are the 33 most wanted people in Holland:

As you can see, of the 12 on the first page, just one is a Dutchman. The rest are either Muslims or from the Caribbean. As far as I can tell, the same is true for the other two pages.

The same is true, to a shocking degree, for Toronto, Canada.

The link shows that of the named 26 suspects wanted for murder in Toronto, the vast majority are non-Western immigrants, a fair number Muslims.

Toronto almost seems to surpass Los Angeles, but not quite - of the ten most wanted by the LAPD, all of them are non-Western immigrants - exclusively Hispanic.

This is hardly a scientific method, but it does seem to put the 'Third World immigration is fantastic and we need it' argument in to some context.

The Netherlands certainly was once a civilised and quiet place; now it appears that newcomers are taking advantage of that and up to 90% of serious crime is committed by non-Western immigrants and their descendants.

Just think of all the pain and suffering which would have been avoided had the West stood firm and never allowed mass immigration, unwanted by the majority of its respective populations.

George Galloway Banned from Canada (II)

After my post yesterday about George Galloway being banned from Canada, I get the impression that some people find it hypocritical to be against the British Government's treatment of Geert Wilders, but supportive of the Canadian Government's policy on Galloway.

This is simply not true - the two positions are actually very different. George Galloway is a terrorist supporter. He has given his own cash to an organisation which is banned in Canada as a terrorist group, and incited hundreds if not thousands of other people to do the same. An organisation responsible for hundreds of deaths directly, and many thousands more indirectly.

Galloway incites, or at the very least is sympathetic to, violence against NATO troops in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the Muslim world. He is a mouthpiece and a shill for some of the worst forces in the 'pro-Palestine' movement, and supports groups which have unashamed connections with religious bigotry, pan-Islamism and Arab nationalism.

Galloway embraces Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh إسماعيل هنية on his recent trip to Gaza.

Yes, Galloway is an elected British MP, but being an elected official in an EU country is the only thing which Galloway and Wilders have in common.

If this is not the case, why does Wilders receive hundreds of death threats every year and Galloway none?

Galloway has been banned from Canada because he is potentially quite dangerous, or at least his rhetoric is. Wilders was banned because of the potential actions of other groups against what he was saying and his right to say it, not in favour.

For all the student union types calling this a Zionist conspiracy - does that mean you're saying Wilders' ban from the UK was an Islamic conspiracy? No? Thought not.

There is a far greater case for asserting the latter point of view, however, culminating in a British peer, whose only loyalty should be to the British Crown and its subjects, threatening to lead a group of 10,000 Muslims on Parliament - all because he was himself a Muslim and disagreed with Wilders.

No thought was given for the ancient liberties of the country which took him in and raised him to its upper echelons.

Galloway has far more in common with Nazir Ahmed than Geert Wilders - both men use the grievances of Muslims as a stick to beat Western Civilisation, our culture, our values, Israel, America and Britain.

Wilders stands as one of the last defences of the West and its ancient liberties and values - Galloway is very much on the opposite side of the line. Wilders also only presumes to speak for himself and those who vote for his party - Galloway pretends the entire civilised world is behind him, and was most recently seen debasing my flag to chants of 'Allahuakbar' from thugs and terrorists.

Therefore, I applaud Canada's decision, and I don't feel this is at all in conflict with my wish to see Geert Wilders speak here. Jason Kenny, Canada's Immigration Minister, said:

“I’m sure Galloway has a large Rolodex of friends in regimes elsewhere in the world willing to roll out the red carpet for him. Canada, however, won’t be one of them.

We’re going to uphold the law, not give special treatment to a street-corner Cromwell who brags about giving ‘financial support’ to Hamas, a terrorist organization banned in Canada.”

That's the way to do it! Are you taking notes, Jacqui Smith?

I am also grateful to the Canadian immigration authorities for introducing me to the word 'infandous', meaning 'too odious to be expressed or mentioned'.

It surely is the perfect word to sum up George Galloway.
