Man Stabbed by "Southerners" in Kiel

I've translated the following report from the Kieler Nachrichten, via Politically Incorrect.

In the German press, "southerner" is a term generally used to refer to Turks and Arabs:

According to the current investigation, the young man was on his way home at 4am. At the corner of Dammstraße and Fleethörn he met two men, who demanded his cash and mobile phone.

As he turned and ran, the assailants stabbed him in the shoulder and thigh. The victim managed to flee on foot across Hofstraße and make it inside his flat, where he tended to his bleeding injuries and alerted the emergency services.

The man, who had been drinking, was taken to the Uniklinikum where his stab wounds were treated.

The man said that the perpetrators were two Southerners. They were about 1.70 meters tall and 20 to 25 years old.

As one of the commentators at PI points out, both the thigh and shoulder contain major arteries - this is really a case of attempted murder being treated as attempted robbery and assault.

One wonders how many other such cases such as this go unremarked upon as they're downgraded in seriousness across Germany and the rest of Europe each evening.

Man Beats Neighbour to Death with Snow Shovel in Schnellenbach

From The Local:

A dispute over snow-clearing reached a tragic end when a man beat his neighbour to death with a snow shovel in North Rhine-Westphalia, police said Tuesday.

In the town of Schnellenbach, a man named by daily Bild as Abdulbah I., 45, repeatedly hit his neighbour, 49-year-old Wolfgang K., with the shovel on Monday, according to police and the state prosecutor in Cologne.

Bild reported that the two men had repeatedly argued in recent days over whose responsibility it was to clear the snow on the common entrance to their properties. They were both shovelling snow yesterday afternoon when the attack happened about 1:30 pm Monday. A murder investigation has been established.

Abdulbah I. is married and a father of eight children, according to Bild. The victim was also a father.

The two men had been feuding for some time and had even gone before a court because of long-running disputes. The victim had to cross Abdulbah I.’s land to get to his own home, the Cologne daily Express reported. Wolfgang K. also reportedly often antagonized his murderer.

"Wolfgang provoked him frequently," a neighbour told Bild.

Oh, well if Wolfgang "provoked him frequently" he probably deserved to end up battered to death.

Perhaps he wasn't an enthusiastic celebrant of diversity?

We might never know.

***UPDATE 15:06***

The German blog Politically Incorrect has slightly more information. The killer, Abdulbah I., is Lebanese.

Wolfgang K. (above) had two children - Marco (17) and Jenny (13). They are now orphans, because around the same time last year their mother died of a heart attack.

Abdulbah struck Wolfgang several times on the head with the shovel, and he was dead when paramedics arrived on the scene.

Abdulbah has been remanded in custody and is claiming "diminished responsibility."

German Doctor Disciplined for Politically Incorrect "Rules" Notice

As most of my readers will know, the concept of freedom of speech and association are all but dead and buried in many European countries - particularly when it comes to anything that might offend our new culturally enriching colonists or their champions.

The following story comes from Germany:

A German public health agency disciplined a doctor Thursday for hanging a sign in his surgery that demanded Muslim women remove their headscarves.

The sign made headlines in September, at the same time as a bestselling book was attacking German Muslims for their alleged unwillingness to adopt German ways and learn to speak German.

A demerit notice will be attached to the doctor's name for the next five years in the German medical register, said Cornelia Kur, a spokeswoman for the agency that oversees medical practices in the Frankfurt region.

The "rules" sign in his waiting room had said head-scarves were banned, very large families were not welcome and all patients had to speak German.

He said later he never seriously meant to turn any patients away.

But what if he had? Is he not entitled to be able to communicate with his patients as he sees fit? To run his practice as he sees fit?

If these Muslim women demanded special treatment, for example the right to be examined by a female doctor, would that be discrimination against the male doctor? Or are some people exempt from the rules that govern "causing offence"?

Why should people who can't speak German attend a German medical practice in Germany and then expect special treatment?

If you choose to live in a certain country, you should make an effort to fit in. I don't think this creeping soft-totalitarianism is helping anyone - indeed it only makes differences more pronounced and fuels resentment.

Thoughts on Germany

As I continue to settle in here and get used to my new surroundings, I thought I would share some of my impressions and experiences so far.

First of all, since my last stay here (which came to an end about two and a half years ago), the number of "visible minorities" has increased dramatically. I am not in a major city and live in a fairly rural state in the north of the country, so this has come of something of a shock even to me.

But the trend is unmistakable. Even this small city could now compete with Berlin or Hamburg, proportionally, in the diversity and enrichment stakes.

It is interesting to compare the behaviour of these obviously unassimilable Third World immigrants with that of their German hosts. As my regular readers will know, I am not one to perpetuate a stereotype unless it contains a healthy dose of truth, and many of those we have about the Germans do.

Generally speaking, this is an orderly, efficient and well run country. It feels different to Britain, because the people here are not (or don't seem to be) at the stage where they let the state do everything for them - they try to enforce their values themselves.

For example; if you wait at a pelican crossing and the lights are red but there are obviously no oncoming vehicles, you will observe that German people still do not cross.

They wait until the lights change to green.

It can be fascinating to watch this; every instinct I have tells me to just hurry across whilst I have the chance - but I make myself wait, partly to observe, and partly because it is illegal to cross against the lights - and ordinary people, from pensioners to children, will call you on it without fear, whereas most modern British people would cast their eyes down, for fear of a beating or worse.

The point I am making here is that behaviour as well as such things as appearance can mark one out as a foreigner here without much difficulty.

As I arrived at the main railway station, a school party disembarked from the train in front of me and stepped on to my platform. All appeared to be German, except for three pupils who were either African immigrants or the descendants of such.

It really was a life lesson to watch these three individuals create complete havoc where there was none before. They walked differently from their classmates, spoke differently, shouted for no reason, pushed the boys, pulled the girls' hair, answered the teachers back, ran when they were told to walk - you name a problem, and they created it on behalf of the whole class, much to the (silent) chagrin of everyone in that section of the station.

It seems astounding that people as careful about the trivialities as the Germans can let such serious and far reaching transformations occur on their watch.

It was clear, observing this group, that these three boys would never fit into that class. That being said, how then can they fit into normal German society - without irrevocably damaging it?

Today, I and several other passersby were accosted by a large gang of African and Turkish/Arab "youths", to use the correct English code, for no reason at all other than being in the street and minding our business.

As heartwarming as it was to see true multiculturalism in action as the lowest of these 'communities' banded together to harass innocent people, no one seemed to appreciate the presence of these enrichers, and once they had left several people (mainly elderly) were not shy about saying as much.

I have noticed that people here tend to be slightly less brainwashed than in Britain when it comes to these issues - many will openly admit there are huge problems or at the very least that they see a downside to what officially must be worshipped.

This is balanced by the fact that events in the past mean their mind will only allow them to go to a certain point before the 'crimethink' kicks in; discussion of topics such as the catastrophically low birth rate among ethnic Germans or the fact that certain minorities are clearly never going to assimilate en masse are too controversial for polite society. The very idea that the Germans have a right to exist unmolested in their own land can be seen as provocative and taboo, when taken beyond a very cursory opening position.

I keep coming back to this conclusion; whilst many Germans seem more willing to identify the problem than their British counterparts, their history means no real solution can ever be forthcoming. No one wants to stick their head above the parapet, because the accusation of Nazism is not just a vicious/childish slur here - it carries much legal weight.

This discussion is all the more interesting because here it is Superwahljahr - election season. Whilst "conservative" Mrs Merkel is tipped to be re-elected, most state legislatures and the federal government are up against the public vote on 27th September.

This is taken quite seriously here - curiously the state seems to take charge of the furore, and rather than seeing private citizens put up signs and banners for their preferred candidate, every lamp post becomes adorned with party and candidate posters.

I left my building to go shopping this evening to find that the posters of the NPD, the Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands, had all been torn down, cut up and thrown into the gutter.

This party stands accused of neo-Nazism, and whilst I certainly don't know enough about it to endorse it, the party leadership denies these claims.

It has slogans such as 'German jobs for German workers', is very much against mass immigration and the asylum racket, and its only remotely mainstream position seems to be pulling German troops out of Afghanistan (an issue on which it is united with the far-Left, along with hatred of Israel and the insistence of a "Holocaust" in Gaza).

In a country where democracy is taken quite seriously, it is a real shame that Leftist political violence and intimidation like this is tolerated.

All parties are entitled to a voice - the socialists, the greens, Die Linke, Mrs Merkel's CDU - so why not the NPD?

If they genuinely hold abhorrent views, defeat them with logic and reasoned argument, rather than thug tactics and tantrums.

But that really is too much to ask, isn't it?

If things keep going as they are, I fear it will be Germany which ends up in the gutter - and that is a conclusion I am loathe to reach.

I have found some more articles on the NPD linked via their Wikipedia entry. Of particular interest is this article, which claims that a majority of Germans believe that the NPD is undemocratic and a threat to Germany's image (presumably it was some of these people who took the next logical, democratic step in ripping up their campaign posters).

Fair enough, but I wonder if the same people would say that about the Leftists who recently rioted in Hamburg, for example?

I sincerely hope so, because hypocrisy is an ugly thing - perhaps not quite so much as political violence and extremism, but almost.

Turk Connected to German Terror Plot Arrested - He Was Bound for Pakistan

A Turk living in Germany has been arrested as he attempted to leave the country, bound for a training camp in Pakistan:

German authorities said Friday they had arrested a man suspected of aiding a terrorist bomb plot, and a newspaper said he was picked up as he was leaving for a training camp in Pakistan.

The federal prosecutor's office in Karlsruhe said Kadir T, aged 24, had been remanded in custody after a hearing.

T is the latest accused from a group of young men, either of Turkish background or converts to Islam, who grew up amid German affluence and volunteered to join the jihadist cause.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper said police swooped when T left home, bound for an Islamist camp somewhere in the lawless zone along the Pakistan-Afghan border.

Investigators suspect he purchased a video camera and a rifle night-vision sight which an associate delivered to the Islamic Jihad Union (IJU), a shadowy group similar to al-Qaeda.

He was linked to four men who have confessed during their current trial in Germany to plotting bomb attacks in Germany against US bases so as to spread terror among the German public.

Prosecutors said T was associated with one of the plotters, Adem Yilmaz, a German national of Turkish ethnicity, who asked him in June 2007 to buy the devices.

Yilmaz sent a brother, Burhan Yilmaz, to the camps with the consignment in October 2008, prosecutors said. Yilmaz and two other men were arrested in September 2007 in a country village in the German region of Sauerland.

Earlier this month the trial of the four men revealed that they planned to start small, with around 150 slaughtered Americans and other assorted infidels.

Werkstatt der Kulturen to Remove Evidence of Grand Mufti's Collaboration with the Nazis

A slippery mess of sheer multicultural madness from Germany:

The publicly funded Multicultural Center's (Werkstatt der Kulturen) decision to remove educational panels of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Muhammad Amin al-Husseini, who was an ally of Adolf Hitler, from an exhibit, sparked outrage on Thursday among a district mayor, the curator of the exhibit, and the Berlin Jewish community.

The curator, Karl Rössler, told The Jerusalem Post that it is a "scandal" that the director of the Werkstatt, Philippa Ebéné, sought to censor the exhibit.

"One must, of course, name that al-Husseini, a SS functionary, participated in the Holocaust," said Rössler.

The exhibit covers the "The Third World during the Second World War" and three exhibit panels of 96 are devoted to the mufti's collaboration with the Nazis.

The grand mufti delivered a talk to the imams of the Bosnian SS division in 1944, and was a key Islamic supporter of Nazi Germany's destruction of European Jewry.

Ebéné denied that there was an "agreement " reached with the local German-Muslim community to shut down the exhibit. She termed media queries regarding an agreement as "Eurocentric." [Ed - She sounds as brainwashed and deranged as any Nazi - Hitler would probably approve.]

She told the Post that the exhibit was intended as a "homage to soldiers from African" countries who fought against the Nazis.

When asked about her opposition to the inclusion of the mufti panels, she asked, "was there ever a commemoration event in Israel to honor the [African] soldiers?"

Rössler was notified last Friday that Ebéné wanted to take out the panels dealing with the grand mufti, but he rejected her demand to remove them.

Meanwhile, the exhibit in its uncensored version has been relocated to the UferHallen gallery.

Maya Zehden, a spokeswoman for the 12,000-strong Berlin Jewish community, told the Post that Ebéné's rejection of the exhibit showed "intolerance," and a director who is "incapable of acting in a democratic" manner.

Zehden urged that the Berlin government consider replacing Ebéné as director. Zehden also sharply criticized Günter Piening, Berlin's commissioner for integration and migration, for defending Ebéné's decision to censor the exhibit.

Piening told the large daily Tagesspiegel that, "We need, in a community like Neukölln, a differentiated presentation of the involvement of the Arabic world in the Second World War."

Zehden termed his statement "an appeasement attempt" to ignore the fact that "there was no official resistance from the Arabic world against the persecution of Jews" during the Shoah.

She accused Piening of showing a false tolerance to German-Arabs in the neighborhood by not wanting to deal with disturbances from the local community.

Piening issued conflicting statements to the Post. While denying his statement to the Tagesspiegel, he said, however, that his comment was stripped out of a context of quotes.

He said the "reason" for the removal of the grand mufti panels dealt with a "misunderstanding of the background of the exhibit."

In an e-mail to the Post, Heinz Buschkowsky, the district mayor in Neukölln, where the exhibit was originally planned, wrote, it is a sign of "anticipatory obedience to avoid probable protests. I do not consider this position to be good."

He added that Piening's statement is a "repression of the facts dealing with anti-Semitism."

The district mayor wrote that the center by its own "claim to stand for freedom, tolerance, and culture should be careful not to set off suspicion that it is imposing censorship."

I wonder if she will be including the mass rapes the "African soldiers" indulged in on their way across Europe in her little homage - or would that be a bit too close to the mark?*

This little episode demonstrates beautifully the narrative of our time: white people and Western culture are uniquely evil, and must be denigrated at all costs and hopefully destroyed - whilst all other peoples and cultures should be celebrated, their achievements shouted and overblown if necessary.

Such deranged fools should be entitled to their little fantasies - but not at the expense of genuine history.

The contact between Islam and Nazism is not only an important historical record, but a useful reference point for the modern world, because I believe Hitler and his ramblings are still widely celebrated in some parts of the world - I'll leave it to the reader to imagine which.

***UPDATE*** 29th August:

*I have been chastised for my racism by "a German national in Lambeth". I admit that my remark about African troops was provocative - it was meant to be.

Why?

We live in a time where any achievement claimed by Western people, those of European descent, whatever you prefer, must be very firmly balanced in the context of the tiniest wrong they have committed. We as a people are not supposed to bask in the glory of our past - we are supposed to hang our heads in shame. The wrong always outshines the right in the eyes of the modern world - no matter how small the former and how great the latter.

Such thinking has spread beyond the obvious to history of which the Left obviously approves, such as the defeat of Hitler.

We now can't celebrate our victory over the Nazis (whilst obviously taking the time to admit that mistakes were made and war is a terrible, tragic thing) without being told how bad we were, how many innocents we killed, how some of our leaders at that time were frankly war criminals.

Maybe this is good and fair - but if we believe it is so, then surely we must apply those standards equally?

So, my question remains - will the negative behaviour of troops from Africa be part of this display - or are we only being asked to celebrate, despite the outrageous actions of some? A comparison of these two Wikipedia articles suggest the answer to the last question is "yes."

We are all now familiar with the way that Russian troops behaved, en masse, when they reached German territory, and the shocking behaviour of some Allied soldiers is slowly coming to light. From what I understand, some North and black Africans had a similar group behaviour to the Soviets - with the good eggs being the exception, rather than the bad. After all, mass rape is a feature of warfare in Africa even today.

Will we be hearing from their victims? Or is their suffering less important than suppressing certain information?

After all, "German national in Lambeth" - we can only begin to erode racism if we apply the same moral standards to all people, regardless of skin colour - right?

The Joys of Diversity & Cultural Enrichment (XXIV)

Which Western country is benefiting most from its immigration policy? Today's contenders are Australia, The Netherlands and Germany.


1) Australia

An elderly lady was attacked by a car thief in Melbourne:

AN ELDERLY woman has been attacked with a laptop wielded by a car-thieving thug in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

Her attacker had minutes earlier been trying to steal a utility parked in Petty Lane, Doncaster, when he was disturbed by the vehicle's owner at 11am.

The thief ran away and motioned for a 77-year-old woman to pull over before threatening to assault her and drag her from the car.

When she stopped, the man reached through a partly opened window, unlocked the door and dragged her out, hitting her with a laptop computer he was carrying.

The robber then fled in the victim's red Honda sedan, leaving her lying bruised on the ground.

Police are still looking for the Honda, which is registered FLT-312.

The attacker is described as being of Asian appearance, aged in his early to mid-20s with dark hair, a medium build and about 175cm tall.

2) The Netherlands

Police in Amsterdam are blaming provocative, violent rap lyrics for a spate of shootings between rival gangs of Antillean youth in Bijlmer.

There have been fourteen shootings and two deaths over the past few months in the Amsterdam-Zuidoost area.

The police note that the youths shoot each other for trivial reasons such as a wrong look or a scowl, or sometimes without motive at all.

Police chief Worlds blames the rap videos and the world which the youths see on screen. He thinks that as well as violence, the videos and lyrics cause other "unhealthy and immoral behaviour" amongst the Antilleans.


3) Germany

Police in Germany have raided a series of Chinese restaurants whilst searching for illegal or trafficked staff:

Berlin -- German police raided Chinese restaurants across the country on Monday on suspicion that workers are being lured to the West under false pretences and made to toil under inhumane conditions.

More than 1,300 police officers and customs officials took part in the raids on more than 170 Chinese eateries and apartments, Frank Federeau, a spokesman for police in the state of Lower Saxony coordinating the operation, told AFP.

Police believe that criminal gangs have brought around 1,000 Chinese to Germany over the past decade, taking away their passports and forcing them to work 80 to 90 hours per week, according to the Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung daily.

The report said that restaurant owners have even been given catalogues from which they can choose workers from China and pay 10,000 euros (14,000 dollars) to the gangs. The employees are then paid around three euros per hour.

German & Turkish Terrorists Plead Guilty in Düsseldorf

Presumably after so embarrassingly misinterpreting the tenets of the religion of peace, they wish to cut their losses and get lighter prison sentences.

From The Local:

The three Germans and a Turkish national belonging to the so-called Sauerland cell have spent the past weeks detailing their plans to agents from the Federal Crime Office after a shock announcement in a Düsseldorf court on June 9 that they would plead guilty to the charges against them.

The four defendants, who could face 15 years in prison if convicted, aim to shorten what was expected to be a mammoth trial and reduce their sentences by confessing, defence attorneys said.

"The accused confirmed that they intended to kill as many American soldiers as possible here," federal prosecutor Volker Brinkmann told reporters as the trial resumed. He added that the four had made "very comprehensive statements" about the plot.

Presiding judge Ottmar Breidling said at the start of the hearing that he believed after reviewing the accounts of the confessions that they would lead to a relatively quick end to the trial and expose the dimensions of the plot.

"We are impressed on the one hand by the scope of the testimony and on the other by the candour," he said, noting that the transcripts and notes from the questioning comprised 1,584 pages.

The accused were to tell the court of their alleged bid to mount at least three car bombings against US military installations and American citizens in Germany. They planned the attacks just before a parliamentary vote to extend the mandate of German troops serving in Afghanistan, authorities say.

Prosecutors accuse the group, known as the Sauerland cell after the region where they were captured in September 2007, of aspiring to carry out attacks on the same scale as those of September 11, 2001 on the United States which killed more than 3,000 people.

After months of surveillance, police using US and German intelligence said they caught three of the suspects red-handed, mixing chemicals to make the equivalent of 410 kilogrammes (900 pounds) of explosives - 100 times the amount used in the 2005 London bombings that killed more than 50 people.

Two of the suspects, Fritz Gelowicz, 29, and Daniel Schneider, 23, are German converts to Islam, a third is a German citizen of Turkish origin, Attila Selek, 24, and the fourth a Turkish national, Adem Yilmaz, 30.

They have been charged with belonging to a terrorist organisation - the Islamic Jihadic Union in Pakistan, an extremist group linked to al-Qaida -and plotting to stage attacks with explosives.

The trial was expected to be one of the lengthiest and costliest on a militant plot in Germany since urban guerrillas from the Red Army Faction faced court in the 1970s.

Prosecutors said they were considering whether to bring charges against a fifth man, a Turkish national living in Germany Mevlut Kar, who is suspected of providing the group with more than 20 detonators for their explosives.

German media have reported that Kar has ties to Turkish intelligence but Brinkmann said they had no evidence that he worked as an informant for Ankara.

German Killed in Turkey Was Murdered for Being a Christian

Here is an update on the story of the German businessman stabbed to death in Turkey last week:

Mentally disturbed Muslim stabs German businessman as he leaves church.

ISTANBUL, July 28 (Compass Direct News) – On a crowded street here last week a German businessman died after a Turk with a history of mental problems stabbed him for being a Christian. Witnesses saw Ibrahim Akyol, 26, stab Gregor Kerkeling in the chest on July 20 at 10:50 a.m. after following him out of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Istanbul’s central district of Beyoglu.

Church security cameras captured the attack on Kerkeling, who regularly visited the church when he was in town for business. Akyol, a Muslim who reportedly had been visiting area churches scouting around for a Christian victim, followed Kerkeling out of the church building and asked him for a Turkish lira. When Kerkeling refused and gestured him away, Akyol repeatedly stabbed him in the heart and chest area before passersby intervened.

In a statement to the prosecutor, Akyol reportedly confessed that in the morning he woke up and decided that on that day he would kill a Christian. “I wanted to kill a Christian that day and was visiting churches for this reason,” he told prosecutors, according to the Hurriet Daily News. “I saw the person and killed him.”

The question now, of course is where will the march about increasing 'Christianophobia' in the Muslim world be held?

Which street in Istanbul will be named after this slain tourist?

Best not hold our breath.

Kenyan Jailed in Germany for Deliberate HIV Infections

A Kenyan man who slept with nine women and a 13 year old girl without disclosing that he was infected with HIV has been jailed for a total of thirteen-and-a-half years. Two of the women are believed to have been infected by him.

An HIV-positive man was sentenced on Wednesday to eight years in prison after having unprotected sex with three women, including a 13-year-old girl.

The 41-year-old, identified as Kennedy O., was found guilty of eight counts of attempted assault and the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old-girl after he slept with her and two girlfriends – a housewife and a hairdresser – without disclosing he had the virus that can cause AIDS.

None are known to be infected. The eight-year sentence was added on to a five-and-a-half-year sentence the Kenyan man, who works as a DJ, has been serving for having unprotected sex with seven other women, none of whom he told about his illness, since 2007.

Two of those women were infected. “He knew of his illness but did not acknowledge it,” said the main judge presiding over the trial in a Würzburg, Bavaria, district court. “The accused made victims of his intimate partners without scruples.”

Prosecutors requested the man be imprisoned for a further 10 years, while the defense asked for six-and-a-half years.

Court reports said Kennedy O. showed regret during the sentencing hearing, at which he said he never meant to harm anyone through his actions. He has vowed to never have sex without a condom again.

A Nice Weekend in Germany

Nice Weekend (I): Arab with a Mullah-beard Robs Bergheim Man.

Bergheim. In the night between Saturday and Sunday, around 1.15am, a 41 year-old employee closed his restaurant in the inner part of Bergheim. The last guests had already left the restaurant. On the way home from the restaurant, the man was caught by two persons on the connecting way between Albrecht-Dürer-Allee and Adlerweg. One perpetrator held the victim and threatened him with a knife held to his throat. The man was relieved of the day's earnings. After having handed over his money, the perpetrators wanted more. The man tried to defend himself, and was injured in the neck and arm by the knife.

The perpetrators fled while the injured man ran home and called both emergency services and the police. An immediate investigation of the area came up with nothing. Both of the suspects were described as follows: both spoke with arabic accents, one person was about 180cm tall and powerful. The second was somewhat shorter, about 170cm and an athletic build. The second perp had a conspicuous beard, which started under the ears and ran to his chin. The man wore a dark pullover with a motif of two fists directed at each other. Duisburg-Buchholz. On Saturday morning about 1.55am a 21-year-old injured person on the way home on Lindenstraße Höhe Zugspitzstraße was stopped by two unidentified persons. He was asked for cigarettes. When he replied that he had none, he was attacked with punches and kicks. Afterwards his cell phone was taken. Description: both about 20 years old, suntanned, short, black, slicked-back hair, one person wore a white T-shirt. Tips can be given to the Duisburg police at 0203-2800.


Nice Weekend (III): "Foreign Accents" Extort Laptop with Pistol in Ennepetal

Ennepetal. On Sunday, 19 July 09, a 22-year-old man from Schwelm started on the Mittelstraße. There he was asked by two men if he had any cigarettes. When he said no, one drew a pistol and demanded the contents of the plastic bag, where his laptop was. Subsequently the perpetrators were picked up by a car, probably a Ford, and left in the scene in the direction of Loherstraße. Identifying marks could not be given. An immediate investigation came up negative. Description: both persons about 25-35 years old, 170-180cm tall, solid, dark short hair. Both were dressed in black and spoke with foreign accents.


Nice Weekend (IV): "Southlanders" rob young mother with small child in Mönchengladbach.

Mönchengladbach. In Buschallee in Mönchengladbach-Eicken an unknown offender took advantage of a situation to steal a purse. A 28-year-old woman set down a baby carrier with her small child in Buschallee right at her house to get something out of her purse, when the unidentified man tore the purse away from her and fled. Measures to investigate the incident yielded nothing. The perpetratoer was described as a Southlander, about 20 years old, with black, short hair, and skinny. Wore dark pants and a dark hooded shirt. The police request any tips that could help the case.


Nice Weekend (V): Mönchengladbach Man Multiculturally Beat and Robbed

Mönchengladbach. A 42-year-old man from Mönchengladbach-Lürrip became victim of a robbery Saturday morning. After a visit to a restaurant, the drunken man reached his home on Neusser Straße, when he was spoken to by three young male persons. The three young men wanted change and underscored their demands with punches and stompings, including some against the head of the injured man. The unknown perpetrators took a wallet with money and personal papers from his pants pockets, then left in the direction of Nakatenusstraße. An immediate investigation of the area yielded nothing. All three perpetrators were about 18 years old, one perpetrator was dark-skinned. They had short hair and wore T-shirts, one white and one black.


Nice Weekend (VI): Immigrants beat Man in Goch and Rob Him.

Goch. A 29-year-old man looking for a place to stay in Goch reported to be beaten and stomped on by several young men with immigrant backgrounds this Sunday at around 1.20 in the morning, in front of a shop in the marketplace and then later on the way home on Steinstraße. His upper and lower lips were bloody and abrasions were noticeable on his right cheek. He is missing his cell phone and house keys. "Nice Weekend (VII)--Southlanders rob a tanning salon in Essen.

"Essen (Rüttenscheid): Two offenders took over a tanning salon on Wittering Street late Friday evening (17. July 2009, 10.05pm). The two employees (18, 20) were just getting ready to head out for the night when two men entered the shop. They ordered the young women to turn the lights off. Threatening with a knife, one of the perpetrators forced the surrender of the day's earnings. The two accomplices then took off with their plunder further into town. Both of the southland-looking suspects were described as tall and powerful. They wore three days' growth of beard, had dark, short hair and spoke with accents. Both were clothed with dark jeans. Additionally, one of the men wore a short-sleeved dark T-shirt. Additional witnesses are sought--please contact the police at 0201/829-0.

German Man Murdered in Turkey

A German tourist has been stabbed and killed in an apparently motiveless attack in Istanbul. It took the emergency services more than half an hour to move the dying man to a hospital which was just two minutes away.

Will there be riots in Germany? Did the Turkish government respond quickly and sensitively enough?

What's that, you say? They didn't comment at all?

The story didn't even warrant one mention in The Local?

Deutscher Tourist in Istanbul erstochen

In der Innenstadt der türkischen Metropole Istanbul ist ein 45-jähriger deutscher Tourist durch einen Messerstich ins Herz getötet worden. Der Bundesbürger habe sich auf der Einkaufsstraße Istiklal Caddesi mit einem Unbekannten gestritten und sei von diesem dann mit einem Messer in die Herzgegend gestochen worden, meldete der Fernsehsender CNN-Türk.

A 45-year old German man was stabbed to the heart in Istanbul and murdered. The Germans had been shopping at Istiklal Caddesi market street and after an argument of some sort, a Muslim decided to stab him, reported the CNN's Turkey station.

Gregory K. was rushed to the near-by hospital but doctors there could not manage to save his life. The eyewitnesses told the CNN-Turkey that it took over half an hour to get the dying German to the hospital that was only 2 minutes away.

The Muslim murderer was caught by onlookers and he was handed over to the Turkish police. The reason for the dispute or murder is unknown.

Senior Citizen Beater Now in Jail

He pulled the hood over his head. In his hand he held a piece of paper. It is a warrant for his arrest!


Martin G. (19) had pleaded for forgiveness and made himself appear repentant. But it did not help him at all. He is the beater, who a week ago thrashed two senior citizens (69, 74) and a pensioner (72) in the hospital – and who at first the law let run free.

Nevertheless now he sits behind bars. Yesterday at 3 PM the beater placed himself in Police Commissariat 26 and two hours later policemen drove him in a prisoner transport to interrogation.

“The Public Prosecutor’s Office obtained a warrant for his arrest today from the district court of Altona”, said Wilhelm Möllers, speaker of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. “There is the risk that the accused may repeat the offense. This reason for arrest could be accepted and justified only after a careful examination of the records.”

The act: Last Saturday, Martin G. broke into the care center at about 5:30 AM.

There he went through the reception’s bar and then ran into the adjacent tenement house. When Siglinde L. (74) opened the door, he knocked her down and demanded money. Booty: 70 Euros.

When the woman cried for help, her neighbors, a married couple, hurried to her assistance. These pensioners were also struck down. Another tenant finally frightened Martin G. away. As he went out the door he practically ran into the arms of the Police.

But: That night the beater was released again for lack of reasons for his arrest – until yesterday. The unemployed suspect does not deny the allegations, but he states that he can remember nearly nothing. During the crime he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

In BILD (German newspaper) the young father was ashamed for his running amok. Martin G. will now have to answer before court for attempted theft, causing bodily injury, and completed and attempted robbery.

One of the frail victims had a heart attack because of her ordeal - but the German 'justice' system let the thug responsible get away until now, even though he ran into the police as he left the crime scene. They cited 'lack of reasons to arrest and hold him'.

I have experience of the German justice system first hand; sometimes, a violent offender will simply have to give his name and address so a court order can be posted to him, as opposed to being taken into custody on the spot.

This case has a particular resonance, however; is this really any way to treat people who have worked and paid taxes all their lives?

Are elderly Germans simply there to be preyed upon by unemployed immigrants and their progeny?

Anarchists Riot in Hamburg

Far-Left political violence is on the rise throughout Europe, but in Germany it has been identified by the government as particularly dangerous. This was demonstrated in the city of Hamburg last night, when roughly 1,000 anarchists infiltrated a festival and battled the police, injuring 27 officers and burning a police vehicle in the process.

Anarchists from Hamburg’s autonomous scene battled police for six hours late Saturday and early Sunday in the trendy Schanzenviertel neighbourhood after a street fair. At least 67 rioters were arrested and 27 police officers injured.

Over 10,000 visitors visited the Schanzenfest street fair, but once it turned dark, over 1,000 young, masked anarchists came out to do battle, police said. The rioters threw bottles, stones and fireworks at police.

“The fusillade was extremely massive,” police spokesman Ralf Meyer told the daily Hamburger Abendblatt, who said the anarchists were more aggressive than in past years. For years, the Schanzenfest has often concluded with clashes between police and the left-wing, anti-fascist Autonomen, or “Black Bloc.”

Over 1,800 police officers were on duty at the event and deployed water cannons and riot sticks against the rioters. Many of the rioters were injured, though no specific numbers were available.

One police vehicle was torched by rioters, who also ignited trash cans and street barriers.
Two of the arrested rioters traveled to Hamburg from Berlin to take part. They were taken into custody after pulling out a backpack that contained a timing device that looked like it could set off explosives.

Police around Germany have warned in recent months that the ultra-left-wing anarchist scene appears to be becoming more violent. On June 21, thousands of anarchists tried to forcibly occupy Berlin’s Tempelhof airport. Police said rioters at this year’s annual May 1 riots in Berlin used Molotov cocktails against police, an escalation from recent years.

The Biggest Problem in Germany Today

Yesterday I reported on several vicious crimes which were carried out on German people by criminal immigrants over just the past few days.

Such cases are the tip of an iceberg, unfortunately - and you would think that in itself would be a huge problem.

Not according to the UN, however. In their view, the most pressing issue in Germany today is racism.

Special rapporteur Githu Muigai, a Kenyan, has completely eliminated all forms of discrimination and human rights abuses in his own great country, helped to create African utopias in neighbouring countries, so thought he would visit the hellhole that is modern Germany to spread some wisdom. Clearly, it is much needed.

Here are his conclusions:

Germany needs more ethnic minorities in its political system, the police and its courts, and has to do more to tackle racism in daily life, a UN special rapporteur said on Wednesday.

"My visit has convinced me that much remains to be done," Githu Muigai, UN special rapporteur for racism, said after a 10-day fact-finding trip across the country.

People with a migrant background "are under-represented in important institutions, including the political system, the police and the courts," Muigai said.

Last November, the Greens became the first major party to elect a Turkish-German as leader, Cem Ozdemir, but ethnic minorities are generally a rarity in German politics, making up fewer than 15 national MPs.

Muigai, who was paying a routine visit to Germany, also said that due to the historical experience of Germany with Nazism, there is a "tendency to equate racism with extremist politics."

"I think that this great country needs to turn its attention to the problems of daily racism and discrimination, that is the racism and discrimination to be found in daily life in schools, public places, in housing, in employment etcetera," he said.

He added however that he was "encouraged by the open recognition by authorities that Germany is nowadays a country of migrants and that migrants make a positive contribution to society."

Kenyan-born Muigai, special rapporteur since August, also said that far-right groups in Germany "demand constant vigilance" and should be banned "within the constitutional legal mechanism provided by German law."

Germany also needs to do more to speed up the processing of asylum-seekers, Muigai said.

Muigai said that his full report, due to be presented at the Human Rights Council in 2010, will also focus on the plight of Muslims in Germany following the increase in security measures aimed at tackling Islamic extremism.

"The Muslim community does have very special concerns, particularly in the aftermath of 9/11 and in the manner in which the security apparatus have responded to ... the challenge of the fight against terrorism," he said.

Right. So, in other words, Germany and other Western countries fund an organisation which sends this man from a poor, badly governed backwater to tell them that they need more Third World colonists, must promote more colonists into vital positions regardless of ability, must accept that they are 'a nation of migrants', speed up the taxpayer-funded processes which allow colonists to remain one way or the other and accept that the colonisation is desirable, inevitable and irreversible.

Despite all the statistical and anecdotal evidence to the contrary, of course.

But then, who cares what Germans think, especially in their own country? If they step out of line, ban them, jail them - why not use water cannon and live bullets?

It worked for Odinga, after all.

My favourite line is probably the one that contains 'the plight of Muslims living in Germany'.

Plight. That's quite a word, isn't it?

I lived in Germany for nine months, and had the misfortune to teach English in a heavily-immigrant school - I can tell you now that the only 'plight' Muslims in Germany face is self-inflicted.

Of course Muigai feels that if Muslims are unhappy in Germany, then the latter should change to accommodate them - rather than the former adapting or leaving.

For my part, I am far more concerned about the plight of Germans and civilised immigrants who find themselves trapped in Muslim enclaves.

A soaring crime rate and a demand for more cash and concessions aren't the only joy Muslim colonists bring, however:

Leaders from the domestic intelligence service, federal police and the Interior Ministry will meet in Berlin on Thursday for talks on possible terrorist activity, with more meetings to come in the next weeks, according to the paper.

“We are currently finalising the entire security catalogue and preparing ourselves for a possible chaos phase,” a high-ranking security official told the paper.

Officials plan to increase preventative measures and surveillance of suspected terrorists in the Islamist scene, where officials believe there may be discussion of using the election to increase pressure on the government to remove German troops from Afghanistan, the paper reported.

The “background noise” in the scene has recently been "unusually swollen" the security official said. But the paper reported there have been no concrete indications that a specific attack is being planned.

Süddeutsche Zeitung likened the terrorist risk level to that leading up to the World Cup, held in Germany in 2006. Security experts report that there has been a call within the Islamist community to be on the lookout for German soldiers and tourists.

So tell me, Mr Muigai - what is it the biggest problem in Germany today?

The Joys of Diversity & Cultural Enrichment (XX)

A special edition which will focus solely on what cultural enrichment is bringing to Germany. The translations are not all mine, but where the term 'southerner' is used in the German press it generally refers to Turks, Kurds, Arabs or Berbers.

• A woman was shot in Berlin on Saturday because she refused a lift with three strange men of 'southern' appearance. From Gates of Vienna:

A gunshot wound because she said “No”

A woman didn’t want to enter the car with strange men, and then the passenger pulled out a gun and fired.

Crime scene Hardenbergplatz, Charlottenburg: On Saturday night at 3:40am, Daniela R. (20, name changed) and two lady friends from Wilmersdorf wanted to go home. It had been a long evening. Quickly eating a kebab and then heading for the bus.

Suddenly a silver metallic BMW was in front of her. “There were three southerners between 23 and 25 inside,” said the petite blonde. The passenger asked: “Can I take you?” Daniela declined. “You will regret that.” Then the girls looked into a gun barrel.

Frightened, they jumped back. Daniela couldn’t get away in time. The first shot hit her in the right leg. “It was a dull pain,” said the retail clerk. Fortunately it was only a grazing shot. The second shot hit the glass behind her. The box containing the city map fell on her back. Daniela R. collapsed to the ground and landed in the glass splinters.

The BMW drove away with squealing tires. Her friends and other bus passengers ran to her help. Daniela R.’s whole body was shaking and her hands and legs were covered with blood. After almost an hour in the ambulance the three ladies could go home.

• A 23 year old man was stabbed outside Hamburg Hauptbahnhof on Tuesday after a 'dispute' with men of 'southern' appearance. He later died of internal injuries.

The newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt later dropped the description of the suspects, then reinstated them with the addition of the term 'probably'.

Such disputes are usually started after the victim accidentally bumps into the perpetrator, so even that usage is overblown.

What we basically have here is an innocent man stabbed to death for accidentally infringing a psychopath's sense of his own self worth - and the authorities want as few people to realise it as possible.

• A Kurdish man is on trial for the attempted murder of his German ex-girlfriend in Cologne. The pair met on an internet chat room in 2005.

The woman soon began visiting him, even though he was already married and had three children. The relationship was against the wishes of the woman's parents - she was 29 and Davut Y was 43.

Even though the relationship broke down after a year and a half, Davut wanted the woman to speak for him at his asylum tribunal, which would decide whether or not he could stay in Germany.

When she refused and he found out she had a new boyfriend courtesy of an email sent by her mother, he took it that his honour had been slighted, and broke into her parents house and attempted to kill her with a 30cm knife.

The only reason she survived is that her father intervened. They were both left with severe cuts to the waist, shoulder and thigh.

• Earlier this month the German town of Solingen witnessed a mass brawl between Syrian and Lebanese families due to 'a culturally enriched version of Romeo and Juliet'.
  

The dispute started because a 16 year old girl from one family was seeing a 22 year old man from the other.

The police were called, and broke into the man's flat, where a fight broke out involving men, women and children.

It then spilled on to the street where passersby got involved, and at one point up to 150 people were fighting.

80 policemen were needed to contain the violence, which saw two people hospitalised - and only seven arrested.

Teenage Girl Killed by Her Father in Germany

A 45 year old Turkish man has been arrested in Schweinfurt after stabbing his 15 year old daughter to death.

A Turkish dad stabbed his own 15-year-old daughter to death in an honour killing which has shocked Germany.

Mehmet Ö. (45) sneaked into Bürsa’s bedroom at 3.30am and repeatedly struck the helpless teen with a knife.

Her grandparents called an ambulance but medics could not do anything for Buersa as she bled to death.

The kebab shop owner fled the crime scene in the town of Schweinfurt but was later arrested by a police patrol in the town centre after a judge issued a warrant.

Police spokeswoman Kathrin Reinhardt said: “He confessed in a hearing to the Criminal Investigation Department.”

As a motive behind the crime, she said: “Both had very dissimilar life outlooks which kept leading to differences between them.”

Bürsa wore a head scarf but she did not want her strict Muslim father to control her life.

Friends described how the western lifestyle of his daughter made Mehmet Ö angry.

Metush H., a friend of the family, said that Bürsa’s sister and mum also had to always wear a headscarf.

Yesterday at her school, the Olympia-Morata-Gymnasium, her classmates gathered in the library to pay tribute to her.

A tearful friend told BILD: “She was a fun-loving girl, loved hip hop music. But that is no reason to kill someone!”

Bürsa, at just 15, joins Gülsüm († 20), Hatun († 23) and Morsal († 16) on the long list of honour killing victims in Germany.

Dhimmitude in Germany

The conclusion of the German Islam Conference saw several attempts to bow to Muslim demands on 'sensitive issues', particularly in matters relating to education. This flagrant kow-towing is described by Reuters as 'an increasingly open and rational debate about Islam'.

Here is the kind of rationality we are speaking of:

The German government and representatives of the country’s large Muslim community said on Thursday they had agreed a number of practical proposals to resolve conflicts between German schools and Muslim practises.

Some 36 percent of Germany’s Muslims described themselves as strongly religious and 50 percent as moderately religious.

The DIK was set up to try to help Europe’s second biggest Muslim population after France integrate into mainstream Germany society, amid worries about the potential radicalisation of disillusioned young Muslims.

Proposals touched on sensitive issues such as Muslim pupils’ participation in sports and sexual education classes to religious holidays.

Delegates at the conference agreed that schools should try to offer separate swimming lessons to girls and boys and to ensure there are separate changing rooms to enable the participation of all Muslim pupils.

Given that legal school holidays in Germany are based on Christian customs, practical consideration should be given to Islamic religious holidays.

“Schools should take these holidays into account when fixing its calendar for the school year. This affects in particular the dates chosen for exams,” the DIK said.

Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting and religious reflection, should be taken into account in particular when planning school trips, internships or school parties.

Regarding sexual education classes, these were necessary and compulsory, but schools should let parents know in advance how and what they planned to teach.

“In the class itself, teachers should be sensitive in their choice of words and carefully select the media, that they show with caution,” the DIK said.

Tips were not only reserved for schools, however. The conference suggested that parents should make sure their children got enough sleep during Ramadan and that, if their daughters wore a headscarf, they should take care it did not lead to ostracism.

Germany seems to be treading a careful path in order to avoid the kinds of conflicts with its Muslim community that other countries have incurred, such as France which provoked controversy in 2004 by banning pupils from wearing conspicuous signs of their religion at school, including headscarves.

But will its tentative proposals be heeded without any kind of legal enforcement?

The answer is, fortunately, probably not - in Germany the federal government has no control over education and the 16 states are pretty much given a free reign to set their own curriculum.

The fact that a conference such as this must be held is worrying in itself - but it is more worrying to think that no one in the German government (the allegedly conservative Merkel being in control) has the courage to say 'no special demands from Muslims will be met'.

Germany's Muslim Population Larger Than Thought

New figures gathered as part of drive by the German government to 'increase dialogue with Muslims'.

According to the latest figures, Germany's Muslim community numbers close to 4 million people, or about 5 percent of the entire population. Past estimates put the number of Muslims in the country at 3.1 to 3.4 million.

Additionally, the survey funded by the Interior Ministry found that Germany's Muslim community is very diverse.

To get a better sense of the views and customs of German Muslims, researchers phoned 6,000 households with 17,000 residents. The pollsters asked a variety of questions, such as whether the family ate pork or drank alcohol.

Researchers found that 91 percent of Sunnis said they followed Islamic food and drink practices. For Shiites, the rate was 60 percent and for Alawites the rate was 49 percent.

A third of respondents described themselves as "strongly religious," while half said they were "relatively religious." Respondents from Turkey and Africa most readily described themselves as devout.

The majority (63.2 percent, 2.7 million people) of German Muslims are of Turkish origin, followed by Muslims from Southeastern Europe (13.6 percent), the Middle East (8 percent) and Northern Africa (7 percent).

The German government funded the survey after complaints that there was no reliable information on the Islamic population or their views.

It was completed ahead of the last planned session of the German Islamic Conference (DIK) - a series of meetings between government and Muslim representatives that began in 2006 when officials became concerned about home-grown terrorism. However, it soon became clear that Germany's Muslims had other concerns they felt were not being addressed.

On the subject of religious education, the survey found that Muslim parents were bothered by the fact that while Christian children received religious education classes, religion teachers for Muslim children were rare. Fully 75 percent of those polled said that all Muslim pupils should be offered classes on Islam.

The survey also found that some parents objected to their daughters being compelled to wear bathing suits for school swimming classes or to sleep in co-ed dormitories.

Access to well-paid jobs remains a problem for Muslims in Germany, researchers found, especially since many Muslim students leave school before receiving their qualification.

Forty five per cent of all Muslims in Germany were born abroad.

German Interior Minister in Cairo

In a baffling act of dhimmitude which puts Barack Obama to shame, German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble is in Cairo 'seeking understanding of Germany's integration policies with regard to Muslims'.

This is in advance of Thursday's German Islam Conference.

In a speech at Cairo University in Egypt, German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble sought understanding for Germany's integration policies. The speech came just ahead of the next German Islam conference in Berlin. In his Cairo speech, Schaeuble pointed out that there was legal equality for Muslims in Germany. The country's three million Muslims have "the same rights, because our state guarantees freedom of religion and is not limited to a singular world view."

The interior minister explained it was crucial that Muslims living in Germany learnt the language and added that the successful integration of Islam into western societies will only work if Muslims accept democratic constitutions "without condition."

"Whether we like it or not, there are many people who think that Islam and democracy don't mix. These are often people who have prejudices against Islam," Schaeuble told the audience of Egyptian politicians and intellectuals.

"But we must also not ignore the fact that there are some Muslims who also hold this opinion," Schaeuble continued. He warned that this minority was seeing to it “that their opinion is heard worldwide."

To combat anti-democratic tendencies, Schaeuble also said that Muslim children living in Germany should receive Islamic courses in German. He supported the plan that Islamic clerics in the country should also be trained at German universities.

Currently most of the clerics at Muslim mosques in Germany have received their religious training outside of Germany. This, Schaeuble stressed, could only be a temporary solution.

Ahead of his speech, the German interior minister met with several representatives of the Egyptian government, as well as Muslim and Christian clerics.

The trip to Egypt comes four days ahead of the next German Islam Conference - which Schaeuble helped initiate. The conference will begin on Thursday in Berlin.
