My Turn

Well lets see there is really nothing to exciting going on with me...Dave is still working at Rhinehart Oil (and will forever I think) doing his accounting thing and he enjoys it. Basketball season has started again, which my not mean a lot to the rest of you but in the Jardine family it means going to Jazz games about twice a week. It is fun but sometimes it's a little much, this year we are going to try and take Dawson to a few games. Dave needs to brake Dawson in on the family traditions. Dave has been going since he was a little boy too. Dawson has been to a few sporting events, like high school soccer and football, he wasn't a big fan of the yelling so we'll see how it goes. At least golf season is coming to a close with the cold weather so Dave will be home more on Saturday mornings. Dawson is getting more fun everyday, he loves anything elmo, mostly his "tickle me elmo" so we may have a theme for his 1st birthday in Feb. :) To answer your question Megan, Dawson is not walking quite yet but stands up and walks along anything that he can. He keeps me on my feet making sure he isn't into something that he shouldn't be into. He really never sits still so he is my workout everyday, he weighs....a lot I am not sure how much but it gives my arms a workout! I don't think that there is anything exciting coming up for us, I am just hangin out being a mom. I take care of Dawson, cook dinner and have way too many tv shows that Dave and I watch every week! I had a fun summer and I am excited for the holidays! Dawson was a monkey for Halloween and got lots of good candy for me to eat so we had fun Halloween. Umm like I said not a lot going on right now but I'll keep you all updated! I am also on facebook so I post pictures and stuff on that. I hope to hear from more of you!!

Hello Friends!

YEAHHH!!! Megan! I'm so glad to hear from you! But i must say that i totally disagree with you being "the worst friend ever". Life happens and we are all SO busy that it is hard to keep in touch like we want to. So no worries! Now i shall attempt to answer your questions for me...

How is school?- Welp is still going! AAAAH! I ran into Tyler Terry the other day and we were talking and this is what i told him (it will sum-up how i feel about it)- "Remember seniorist in high school well this is 10xs worse! All i care about now is passing my classes." Yeah, i know its a bad attitude but really i do love my classes but i'm just SO ready to be done. Oh yes, i'll be done in April. ( i chickened out going summer term) I'll be graduating in History with a minor in Humanities.

How is Jon enjoying school?- He is doing well, though he doesn't like UVSC. He just is not having a good experience there. For instance he was kicked out of his English class just a couple of weeks into the semester. It was all because he missed too many classes (3 times- twice because she kept moving the room and by the time he would find it class was over, and once for a doctors appointment). She said that because he missed so much he wouldn't understand how to do the papers. He asked if there was any way he could stay in the class. He even offered to have the paper to her the next day. She said he could but even if he got A's on it and everything else he wouldn't get higher than a C. So he picked up this things and dropped the class. He is hoping to transfer to BYU for next Fall. Then he wants to go to Law school. So he still has a while.

Hows my dad?- My Dad. He is doing alright. He has good days and bad. There are days when he says he doesn't know if he can make it till Andrew gets home. Other days he feels good and is just cracking jokes and laughing! He can't really get around easily so he just stays at home. He gets to sacrament meeting every sunday though. And some days he has my mom take him on a drive or even to Costco- he'll ride one of those jazzys and he takes off! I keep telling him that he's got to stick around to be a grandpa. So we'll see. Jon and I were talking and we think that he might live longer than he thinks. Hopefully!

Has Andrew gotten home from his mission yet?- Nope! But he comes home December 21st! 3 days before Christmas!!! That is 72 days from now! (I have a counter) I'm just a little excited- if you can't tell. I knew i would miss him but i didn't know how much! His friends are already coming home and it is so weird to see them all grown up!

Ok i think that is all- this post is long enough. But i hope that everyone else answers Megan's questions cause i want to know too!! I love you all and hope things are going good in your lives!

Love,
Jen

PS- I have a blog too!!! See it at: jonandjenboldt.blogspot.com I think everyone should have one! (besides just this one) So get too it! I love to read them- I'm just a little bit addicted :) Love you!

The Worst Friend Ever

Hello all,

So I have officially declared myself as the worst friend ever. For those of you who don't know, I now live in Grand Forks, North Dakota. My husband is attending graduate school at the University of North Dakota in Nurse Anesthesia. Amazingly enough, I love it here. It is so beautiful. The weather isn't even that bad (yet)! It sounds like you are all doing fun things. I wish I could be there doing them with you! I want to hear about everyone. What is going on with all of you? Abby, how is the pregnancy coming, and how is your family? Aimee, how is Dawson doing? Is he walking yet? Amie, where are you? I heard once you were moving to Minneapolis, is it true that we are only 4 hours from each other? Ashley sweet wild girl, what are you doing these days? What curves has life thrown you? How are you doing Ellen? How is school going for Trent? Are you still working at the Mill? Katharine, what are you up to? Did you head back to school? Jennie, how is school? Is John enjoying school? How is your Dad? Has Andrew gotten home from his mission yet? Jenny, I am so sorry, but I have completely forgotten what you are majoring in, other than boys (ha ha!) How is the dating scene? Michelle, it sounds like you are surviving in Illinois. I am glad you like your ward. The girls in my ward here in Grand Forks are my saving grace! Does Cole work long hours? Sarah, you probably don't even look at this, but I miss you. I hope all is well with you. Stephanie, where in the world are you now? Still in Michigan or off to some elite country? I am truly amazed by you! Well, there are some questions for all of you to get your minds jump started on what you are doing. I guess I should mention what I have been up to as well. Other than moving to Grand Forks, there isn't very much excitement in my life. I am the typical Mormon stay at home mom. I cook dinner for my family every night. Friday mornings are my clean the house day. I am currently sewing my son's spider costume for Halloween. I am serving as the CTR 6 teacher in Primary. I go on play dates with a few of the other moms here. And I am teaching a class on those I-Spy bags for our Super Saturday in November. So there you have it. I am living that 1950's lifestyle! Oh well, I love it! :) Sorry this is so long. I guess I had a lot to say. I hope all is well with you, and wish you luck in your endeavors!
Love always,
~Megan

Life in Decatur

Hi girls! I'm writing you from exciting Decatur, IL. Actually it isn't too exciting but things are going well. Cole is really enjoying his job and that makes a big difference. I am working as a receptionist at a doctors office part time. I was ready for a break after teaching and we are only going to be here for a year so I didn't want to start all over at a new school and new curriculum and licensing. We really like our ward and have met a lot of nice people. Cole and I teach the 14-18 year old Sunday school class and I am the activity day leader. I have the cutest girls and have enjoyed getting to know them. We are coming to Utah for Thanksgiving so maybe we can plan a girls night out. I miss all of you and hope things are going well! ~Michelle

Girls Night

Hey Girls! Well as Jen said I hope you all had a wonderful summer! I was thinking about having a girls night at my house on Tuesday Sept. 25 I want you to come over and I will make you dinner then we can just hang out and chat, or whatever. I know that for those of you with husbands, work and school this might be a hard night to get together, so who ever can make it I think that it would be fun. :) The reason for the random date is that Dave is going to LA for work so I thought that I would make the most of my night and try to get together with some friends. I am going to be in Mexico all next week and I don't get coverage there on my cell so if you can make it let me know before then or just leave a message or a text and I will get it eventually. I think I will sent out an e mail also cause I am not sure how often this is checked but let me know I think that it would be fun to see you and catch up everyone. I also need to know who is coming so I can plan for dinner (I don't know what I am going to make but I'll try to make it good) :) Love you all!

That time of year again...

Welp, summer has come to an end, and we didn't even have another get together! I apologize for that. I hope that everyone had a fantasmic summer and were able to get done all that they wanted, I didn't but hopefully you ladies did.

At this time of year i always seem to reflect on the past, this is most likely due the custom of starting a new school year embedded in me. It just seems that time is going by so fast, and from what i hear is doesn't slow down any. Great. Sometimes it doesn't feel that long ago that we were entering our senior year! Then i think about all that has happened between Aug. 2001 and Aug. 2007 i.e. boys, classes, trips, marriage etc... and i'm brought back to reality. My only regret (well i can't say only cause i don't know that going back i would have still done the boyfriend thing) would be that i would have kept a journal. Then i could have remembered more of the crazy, silly, stupid, hilarious, and fun things we did. At least i still have some memories and pictures and most of all i still have all of you! Thanks girls for being such good friends! I love you all and hope that whatever may come in our lives that we will always stay friends! Good luck with all that comes your way....

Love,
Jen

More Sad News

First of all, I would like Abby to know how sorry I am for her. I just got on and read the news about your father-in-law, and I am so sorry. I wish the Hatch family the best through the tough times ahead. I also wanted to let you all know about Nathan Barnes. I don't know if any of you remember him, we graduated with him. Well he was just killed in Iraq this last week. He stepped out of a helicopter and took enemy fire in the neck. He would have finished his tour of duty in four months. Anyway, I won't be able to make it to the reunion next weekend, I'll be out of town, but if any of you go, will you make sure he is remembered there? I hope we start to hear about more positive things in the near future. Good luck to all. Love ya!

Sad, sad news

I wanted to let you all kn0w some very sad news. Ammon's dad was in a car accident on Saturday. He had some very severe head injuries and died on Sunday, July 1st. The funeral is Thursday, July 5th at 11:00 in the white church by the high school. His family has really worked together to get everything taken care of, and his mom has been very strong. Please remember Ammon and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We love you all and hope things are well with each of you.
With love, Abby

Yes, I love technology...

You know how the song goes. :)

I really do love technology though! Thanks to Jennie for her ingenious idea of a group blog. It's a fun way to keep updated on everyone's "going-on's." For example, Megan ex-Mott wrote a lovely post and I now know she's alive although we haven't gotten to chat since...a REALLY long time ago! So go blogging!

Thought I'd contribute my own updates to our page: currently in Italy and loving it! Don't think I ever want to come home really. Had a little bit of a rough time with the language when I first got here because I came straight from France and had only French thoughts in my head. There was no room for Italian. But after a few weeks here, I'm feeling much better about things and can communicate with the people I live with---I consider that a plus. :) I live in this small town about an hour outside of Florence called Lucca and it's really beautiful. Work a lot during the day, but since I play the piano for work it's not too bad. And I get free Italian classes which I also love! Anyways, for the details you can check out my blog---thanks Jen for posting the link.

I'll be in Utah from July 22-31st so if anyone wants to play, let me know! If you're all up for another BBQ, I'm happy to plan one or if girl's night out sounds enticing, I'd love to play!!! Hope everyone's summer's going well. Love to you all. Ciao!

Graduation

Today was highschool graduation. I only know that because my little sister, Chelsea, graduated. It's not like I'm stalking the seniors this year wanting to be back in high school! :) I saw Ellen there cheering on Alex. Anyway, I just wanted to say it was fun to go. While watching their senior video, it reminded me so much of when we were all there and the fun things we did. Just thought I would add my sentimental thoughts of graduation. Congrats to all the grads!

Sad News

Yesterday my mom showed me the following obituary for Kimball Reeves' mother. The information she received was that she died unexpectedly from an irregular heartbeat. The funeral is tomorrow at his church. I'm sure this is a very hard time for him and his family. Please keep Kimball and his family in your prayers.

Love,
Jennie

Karla Newton Reeves , 50, passed away early Sunday morning, May 20, 2007. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved her family. She especially loved her 3rd grade class at Shelley Elementary School and was a great teacher. Karla went back to school and graduated from UVSC in the spring of 2006. She began her first year of teaching in August, 2006. We are grateful that she was almost able to complete her first year. She loved the students and teachers with whom she worked. Karla was born April 5, 1957 in Brigham City, Utah to Ken and Donna Newton. She attended school in Brigham City, and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1975. She attended school at Utah State University and served a mission for the LDS Church in the Adelaide, Australia Mission. She married Todd S. Reeves in the Logan Temple in July of 1982. They were blessed with three children: Kimball, Tricia, and Jessica. She served in many positions in the church and was currently serving as a primary teacher. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and wanted her children to always do what was right. She recently had a surprise birthday party for her 50th birthday. She appreciated good friends and enjoyed spending time with her friends and extended family. Karla is survived by her husband, Todd, her children, Kimball, Tricia, and Jessica, her six sisters: Jane (Lee) Gibson; Jean (Paul) Barleen; Sherrie (Tom) Taylor; Karen (Ben) Smith; Nancy (Norm) Parker; Trudy (Phil) Linville, and many other relatives.Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the American Fork 16th Ward Chapel, 507 West 700 North. Hey Girls-

This was a great idea :) I guess that I'll let you all know what is going on in my life. My cousin's wedding is on the 19th but I really want to see you all at the BBQ so I will try to make it there! I am moved into my house and right now we are just getting our yard in, it is a lot of work :) It is taking a lot of time cause Dave doesn't have a lot of time to work on it after work. But we are getting there and will have to have you all over for a BBQ at our house when we get done. :) Dawson is a ton of fun, I love being a mom. My little guy is growing up SO fast! We just went to the Dr. and he is in the 97% on his weight, 75% on height! Apparently I am pumping out pure cream :) So he has a pot belly and is a cute as ever. He did have a jump start in life starting out at 9lb 5oz. Anyway that is what is going on with me, love ya all
