I Give Up

I have been planning on blogging for the longest time. I have about 1000 pictures that I need to go through to cover all our summer fun. However, I keep finding excuses not to. So I'm just going to move onward, and if I get a chance to recap, I will.

Anyway, we have been enjoying the "cooler" weather (only 85* instead of 100*). The other day we went on a bike ride and Coleman rode in the trailer with Isabella. As we were getting home, I realized they had both fallen asleep and they looked so cute!

T turns 3!!!

I have a gazillion things to blog, but today my focus is on this little guy:

Teegan is so darling! He has a very sweet disposition and is quite the easy going little kid. In fact, while Phil and I were birthday shopping for him, we had the hardest time trying to find something for him becuase he likes everything! He enjoys playing with cars, riding bikes, building blocks, playing in the sand, watching movies, playing games, sitting at the computer with Coleman, making Isabella smile, taking pictures, having sword fights, trying to wrestle with Dad, successfully pulling Coleman to the ground by latching his arm around Coleman's neck, playing Ring-Around-the-Rosies, singing "Once there was a Snowman" and "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam". Learning his letters, counting to 10, eating ice cream, devouring almost any fruit, swimming, dancing ("shake your booty"), and reading books. I know there is more, but that is all I can think of right now!

Famous Potato Race

Phil and his sister Natalie ran the half marathon this past weekend. Yeah, they call it running 13.1 miles. I call it insane. Saturday morning started bright and early for the runners. They had to be down at the park by 6:45am to catch the shuttle to their starting location, and then the race started at 8:30am. The cheerleaders {aka me and the kids, Jacob and Preston, and Grandma and Grandpa} arrived at the park at 10:15am.
We only had to wait about 15 minutes before we saw Phil cross the finish line. Then 10 minutes later Natalie finished. We are so proud of them for accomplishing the race!

That afternoon, the runners need some recuperation time, so we just hung out at our house while the kids rode bikes. It was a fun and relaxing {well, for me} day! :)

Family Pictures

I just have to start out by saying thank you to my sister, Amber. She took our family pictures while we were in Utah, and they turned out fabulous! I LOVE them! There are more, but these are my favorites!

The next weekend, we had Amber take pictures for the Roylance family. The weather was drastically different than the week before. We waited all day for it to stop snowing so we could go take them. It was so frigid cold, but once again, Amber did an amazing job!

It is kind of funny to watch the kids faces get more and more upset! Anyway, thanks again Amber! :)

April Overview

I just wanted to blog the other parts of April (Besides our trip to Utah and Easter). On the 18th, I celebrated my birthday. I feel kind of funny blogging about my own birthday, but let's face it, Phil definitely won't be (considering he hasn't touched his own blog in over two years). All day long I kept singing that song, "Just another manic Monday". I know that's not the title, but those were the words I was singing! Anyway, once Phil got home . . . with flowers! . . . we went out and celebrated with dinner at Olive Garden and shopping at the mall. Oh and don't laugh at my cake. My plan was to just grab a piece of Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory, but Coleman insisted that I have a birthday cake. And I am HORRIBLE at cake decorating! See here if you need proof!

The rest of the month and into May has been spent working in the yard, going on picnics, and chillin' at home! Isabella is smiling all the time, and we are just starting to get a few giggles out of her. The other day, I went to check on her while she was napping, and found that she had spit out her pacifier, and was sucking her thumb instead! Over the weekend, we got sunglasses for Coleman and Teegan, and I found the boys yesterday wearing them while watching cartoons. Apparently the sun was in their eyes. They always know how to make me laugh! Not to brag, but don't I have the cutest children ever! :) Love them!

Easter-E-Activity

We celebrated Easter all weekend long. The previous week, we ran into the Easter Bunny making his rounds at the mall. On Friday, we colored our eggs! Coleman was so funny and wanted to eat them more than color them (luckily they are healthy)! Then on Saturday morning, our neighborhood had an egg hunt, where Teegan dominated the 0-3 year category, and Coleman was a bit of an underdog at the 4-8 year old category. Teegan was nice enough to share his loot (we're pretending that he chose and wasn't forced into it!)

On Easter morning, the boys hunted down a few more eggs and found their baskets. Then we rushed to get ready for church because we had Regional Conference that morning-which was so good!

Can I just say, that I am having so much fun dressing and shopping for Isabella! I LOVED her Easter dress!
