Alpine wonder
The Five Browns aren't the only talented people to come out of Alpine, Utah.

(As if you had any doubt.)

The Merola Opera Program, based in San Francisco, announced today that 23 singers, five apprentice coaches and one apprentice stage director will participate in the 52nd season of the Metrola Opera Program that runs from June 1 to Aug. 22.

And one of those is Stephanie Rhodes, from Alpine. She will be an apprentice coach in the acclaimed program.

Twenty-nine people from 7 countries (including Israel, Mexico, and Ukraine) were selected for the program.

There were hundreds of applicants and extensive worldwide auditions and applications.

For more info, go to www.merola.org

Congratulations, Stephanie! I knew the 5 Browns didn't drink up all the good genes from that mountain community.

Princess Party

Look at us all (Amie & Sarah where were you? i don't remember?). How pretty we are. That was so fun. We should do this again but with our wedding dresses!! (I'm only partly kidding.)

Sadley most of my pictures are fussy, and this was the best one.

For Funners

After talking late into the night, at Michelle's parents house which really made it feel like old times, the blog inevitably came up in conversation. It was decided that we needed to post more pictures. Not present photos, but those from our days past. If i remember right, at least one of us had a camera when we were at play. So, i or we are asking each other to spread the love! Please? The photo can be any moment in time, from any of our adventures. No matter how young or old we are or were. If you don't have a scanner... take a picture of the picture, or you can always bring it to me. We also need to figure out how to get our old videos on here. Anyway.... I can't wait to see what comes!!

Love,
Jennie

PS- it might be easier if we just add everyone to the administration of this blog (make it so we can post from our regular accounts instead of trying to remember the password to this one).  So send me (Jennie) your email (the one you sign into blogger with) and we'll add you to the list.
