Chinese Nights

Benjamin really tried hard to get the proper use of the chopsticks down.
Lily is trying really hard to eat the right way, apparently the outstretched hand is necessary for proper form.
Kathleen showing us the proper way to eat chinese with chop sticks. Kathleen really, really, really wanted chinese food. So, we got some take out (even though they didn't have the green beans that she was craving). It was fun to try and teach the kids to eat with the chopsticks, and to talk about why some people eat that way. An interesting fact,(according to the back of a chopstick container) the use of chopsticks began with Buddha as a way of removing a potential source of violence by no longer eating with knives. Who know if that is true, but it is an interesting story~~JST

My trip to Nashville

The Statue of Commodore Vanderbilt, the founder of Vanderbilt University One of the beautiful building on the Campus of Vanderbilt University
The Parthenon of Nashville, a pretty amazing building
Another view of the parthenon of Nashville, there is a art museum inside of it.
A picture of Nashville, notice the "Batman" building in the background. Benjamin loved that.

I spent three days in Nashville, TN for interviews at Vanderbilt University. All of the interviews went great, and I was able to see some nice pictures of the city. The leaves were just beautiful, their fall seems to stay on much longer than ours here. I deffinetly think it is a city where we could live.....We will see.

Halloween

Beautiful Princess Lily
Beware Bad guys, the Batman will get you!!!
Lily and Benjamin, all ready for Halloween.
The kids had fun getting ready for halloween. They were all dressed up, and ready to go. Benjamin went as batman, and Lily went as a fairy princess. I think her favorite part was getting her finger and toenails painted. Cute kids.
