Bean could live in a pool! Last summer she could swim around, but didn't go in the deep end. I was shocked to see her jumping off the rock into the deep end and swimming to the side! She has turned into quite the fish!!

Memorial Day Swimming and BBQ
We had a wonderfully hot Memorial Day! In the morning we placed flags on the Veteran's graves. We then met some friends and did a little fishing, after that we headed to our friends home for swimming and a bbq. The pool felt wonderful!!! We were exhausted when we got home around 8:00 p.m. Jeremy then announced he was taking the three oldest fishing one more time. I reminded him that it was a school night, but he said, "Come on it's MEMORIAL DAY." So fishing they went and got home around 10:00. It was a little tricky getting my kids up for school, but hek if they wouldn't of went Bean wouldn't have caught that huge fish!!! It was so nice to have Jeremy home all day and spend time with each other and great friends.

Memorial Day and Fishing
After placing flags on the graves we met some friends at the pond and did a little fishing.
In the evening Jeremy took the three oldest kids back to the pond. Bean caught the biggest fish of the night. A large mouth bass. Way to go Bean!!!

I love this picture of Bean with her buddies. They were so good at taking turns with the fishing pole.

Memorial Day-Placing the Flags
Every year for Memorial Day we go to Forest Lawn Cemetary and place flags on the Veteran's graves. We are so grateful for the men and women who fight for our country and the freedom's we enjoy.

Bean loved putting the flags on the graves.

Girls Night Out
Tonight Lilly and I had a little girls night out. She suggested we go to the mall and requested to listen to Justin Bieber really loud while we drove there. She loves to sing along!I have to admit I am a little embarrassed when we came to a stop light and my windows were down and Justin was blasting!

Just Fishin
Goose and Granny have caught 48 fish in the last two days! They come home from school and immediately grab their poles and head to the pond. I love watching them walk down the road with fishing poles over their shoulders. Moments like this are the best.

4th Grade Spring Orchestra Concert
Tonight was the fourth grade orchestra concert. I really enjoyed watching it and was so happy to see Grant enjoying himself on stage. He has worked so hard this year practicing. Cello is one of my most favorite instruments and I love that he loves it as much as I do. The fourth grade band and orchestra both sounded awesome. Way to go!!

If you look closely you can see Granny in the cello section.

Grant and his friend Afton played their cello and violin beautifully! Way to go you two!

Revealing Quiz
At the bottom of Granny's backpack I found a pink piece of paper titled,
"A Mother's Day Quiz for Kids" How well Do I Know My Mom? Apparently, Grant filled this out at school. Anyways the quiz had 18 questions and the kids filled in the answers. Here are some of my favorite answers that Grant wrote.
My mother's favorite foods are: Lettuce, cabbage and tofu. (I don't remember the last time I ate cabbage or tofu.)
My mother's favorite vacation is: Splash Lagoon
My mom's best friend is: Oliver, because she's with him all day long.
And my favorite answer.... My mom really looked beautiful on the day she...unknown. That's right you read it right. Grant wrote UNKNOWN. Thanks buddy. :)

Muddy Little Piglet and Puddle Drinker
It has been really difficult with all the rain, mostly because I have a puddle drinker. When Chief spots a puddle he's on all fours. I have to keep a close eye on this one! Don't worry I don't let him sit there and drink, although it was fresh rain. I sometimes wonder what our neighbors think....

On a side note and no picture because the mess was GIGANTIC. Goose and Granny went to catch tadpoles in the backyard, one minute they were catching tadpoles, the next minute they were mud wrestling and then they came in and informed me that they may have accidently squished some tadpoles while wrestling. Awesome.
Chief loves to swish his little paws around the puddle.

Chief was in heaven with his 2 favorite things a ball and water. He spent forever pushing this ball around in the rain puddle.

Chief was a happy little teething piglet playing in the mud.

I love that muddy little pant leg running down the street to the next puddle.

Chief prefers to eat his grilled cheese while watching the rain. It was coming down in buckets!

After Bean showered she decided she better go walk through the puddles one more time.

Forget the stairs, Goose prefers to slide.

Dressing Up, On the Potty
This picture busts me up. Here's Chief prior to his bath. For the past few weeks Chief likes to think he's potty trained. He's not. However, before he bathes I like to set him on the potty and a few times he has tinkled.

Chief wants to be just like his dad and insists on dressing like him. :) Chief cleans up so nicely for church. Isn't he handsome!

The other day Chief made a HUGE mess. He just so happened to find the green and silver glitter. It was everywhere! The funny thing is he first took Lilly's lipgloss and rubbed it all over his head and then sprinkled the glitter on top. Several days and several baths later I still find little flecks of green and silver on his body.

Laughing My Head Off
I was laughing so hard I was crying when Granny gave me this little cartoon he made. The first part of the cartoon he saw in a magazine, but then he added the other 2 pictures and lines and I was seriously busting up. I love this boy of mine and his sense of humor.
"Customers are complaining about hair in their food."

Okay, now I'm mad. If you don't shave your fired!

Wow! Did you shave! Yep, I shaved!

Fishing in the Dark
Last night Goose and I had an evening date. We went jogging and of course Goose insisted on bringing his fishing pole. We jogged a little bit and then Goose took me to all of his favorite fishing holes. While walking through the tall grass and weeds we joked about what we would do if we got covered in Poison Ivy. Goose showed me his favorite tree stump. The stump looked like it had a face in it and it had sticks and stuff sticking out of the sides of the stump. This resembled arms waving in the air. While in the woods Goose even held my hand and I told him how much I loved him. He quietly told me he loved me too. Oh how I love my sweet sweet boy! After our walk we had a little fishing contest and Goose beat me 1-0. I ended the date at 9:15 p.m. because I realized Goose had school in the morning. I can't wait for summer and no school.
Red Ball
So many choices...
Last night Goose had the opportunity to try all sorts of different instruments at school. I love the idea of giving the kids an opportunity to try them all. Goose skipped over the violins, viola's, clarinets, flutes etc... and went right to the horns and large instruments. His two favorites are the String Bass and the Cello. I have been so happy with the Williamsville music program and look forward to Goose starting an instrument in September!
