Celebrating the last hours of 2011

We had such a wonderful time as a family on New Year's Eve! I saw a super cute idea on another blog and knew that my children would love it! I blew up 12 balloons and then I put an activity in each balloon. We started our party at 6:00 p.m. and every hour I would let the children take turns popping 2 balloons for every hour until midnight. The night was full of noise and laughter, it was a riot! The children especially loved painting with shaving cream and making masquerade masks.
Here are some of our Activities that we did:
Eat a cookie, Paint with Shaving Cream, Hot Cocoa with peppermint and Whipped Cream, Pizza & Wings, Make masquerade masks, Do a Chore, Call Grandparents, Sing a Song, Play Games, Fill out a questionairre, Toast in the New Year with Sparkling White Grape Juice & Watch the Ball drop in NYC.
Tomorrow we plan to make individual goals as well as new family goals. Happy 2012!!!

The countdown balloons.
Granny showing off his masquerade mask.

Chief loves all the action!

Granny and Goose carefully decorating their masks. I'm afraid that Monte's mask won't dry. He used quite a bit of puffy paint.

Bean took a lot of time decorating her Masquerade Mask.

Chief is a bust up! Here he is in his masquerade mask before it was decorated.

Goose in his pre-decorated Masquerade mask.

Chief and Bean sporting their Happy New Year Tiara's.
We played Apples to Apples all night while listening to music. Because it wasn't loud enough! :)

One of papers in the balloons said, "Sing songs." Of course Granny thought this meant that he needed to give a solo. So he sang to us, "Little Purple Pansies." It was hysterical!

Goose with his whipped cream and I think some hot cocoa may be in there too.

Goose was not the least bit scared of popping a balloon.

Bean wanted to pop the balloons so badly when it was her turn; however she was so afraid to do it!

We all stayed up to watch the ball drop in New York City. Happy 2012!

Granny, Bean & Goose waiting patiently for 2012!

Goose cheated and took a little sip before the New Year.
Chief joined in on all the fun!
The kids all loved "painting" with shaving cream.
I went to the dollar store and got the children their own can of shaving cream and they went to town! They had a ball! It was so funny to watch!
Grant lathering up.
I love that Goose is still smiling under all that shaving cream! He doesn't seem to mind that it's in his mouth!
So much fun!
Goose was very proud that he used his entire can of shaving cream!

It started off with Goose putting just a little shaving cream on his face.
