Very Long Blogging Break

I don't spend much time blogging these days. I am finding the other (more demanding and important) priorities in my life are taking more of my time, and that's okay. We are all doing great and I'm not sure if I'll ever step back into the blog world as I once was, but I'm keeping this open just in case. I am also holding on to this blog in hopes that one day I can share it with my younger children, especially my little Asian treasure, so they can read the journeys we walked together that they may not remember due to their young ages.

I pray, for those of you (two or three of you) that still read this, are doing great and that God continues to richly bless your lives. I can be found on Twitter and Facebook, and do share on these regularly since they are quick posting for me. Thanks for following our journey thus far. I believe the best is yet to come cause no matter what else God does in my life from here, eternity is still ahead for us and that's gonna be Sweet!!

Jammin'

Life is busy! Well, I guess it's always busy, but it seems really busy this first quarter of the year. My man is speaking on the Winter Jam Tour again this year, so that makes for a very busy schedule. Then, we add office administration, home administration, and full time homeschooling of four kids.... should I say more? Life is just Jammin' for us right now, and the Winter Jam Tour is only a part of that....

The tour is going great, in that thousands are coming to know Christ and thousands of orphans are getting sponsorships. THAT makes it successful in what really matters! School is going great! I absolutely love having the kids home full time and having the control and flexibility of our scheduling. They are learning and excelling and, even though my big kids miss some of the aspects of the homeschool academy, I know we are right where God wants us! The fruit we are seeing, as parents, in our children, in priceless and worth all the energy and work that goes into this part of our life. I have two amazing assistants that help keep the office and home-front running smoothly alongside me. I couldn't do it without Brittany and Heather. Between lesson plans, teaching, managing the office, and traveling with my Man when we can, I would be lost without these two ladies! I call them my right and left hands. I make list galore each week and together, the three of us manage to accomplish a lot!

For those of you still following my blog (all ONE of you), just know the demands of life keep me from being able to post as often as I would like, but I will check in when I can. You can follow me on Twitter (@tammynolan) if you're on there, as I do post devotional thoughts, verses, and updates on there daily, or on Facebook (as my Twitter account is connected to that and therefore it gets updated daily, as well.) If you aren't on these "additions" (HA!), stay tuned here and I'll post when I can.

Hope 2011 is richly blessed for you already and that the best is yet to come for you and your family!

Our King is Coming

We had a fabulous WHITE Christmas, a busy New Year, and now we are well into the month of January 2011. I cannot believe we're in another new year. Time sure does move faster the older you get!

This year is starting off with the Winter Jam 2011 Tour and we're praying for a bountiful Harvest for the Kingdom of God! We want to see thousands of people come to know Christ and thousands of orphans helped. We are privileged as a family to be a part of this tour and, even when the kids and I are home and my Man is out preaching, we are unified in our prayers, our passion, and our focus! We can't wait to see what God does!

So, 2011 has started out busy already. I would tell you that I have a resolution to blog more this year, but, well... I don't! I want 2011 to be a year that consists of more spiritual growth, more physical fitness and nutrition, and I want to love and live more like Jesus. This could be the year He returns and I simply want to be ready no matter the day or the hour! So, just like I clean for guests coming to my home, send out invitations if I'm throwing a big party, or change sheets for overnight guests, I'm wanting to simply spend more time on the things that really matter as I prepare for the return of my King. I want to spend more time with Him, listening to His still small voice and responding appropriately, and I want to put even more energy in emptying myself of ME (my pride, my impatience, my agenda and dreams, and my will) and do what's necessary to be open for HIM (his will, His plans, His spirit and the fruit it produces, and His eternal purposes). Don't get me wrong, 2010 was a great year of fruitful ministry and I'm grateful for what He's doing in and through me, but I guess I just want more.

So, that's my "resolution".... Can't promise you'll read more on here, but I can assure you that between the "gaps" in the posts, my vision, my passion, and my focus is the same and even more "honed in".... HE is coming and this could be the year..... so I'm spending more time in preparation for His return.

Just Being Leaves Me No Room For Blogging

This month has already covered a lot. From homeschooling, housekeeping, office administration, traveling, family vacation that included a week at Disney (with all four kids, of course), Christmas shopping, and more homeschooling, there isn't much time left. So, once again, I'm finding that just being all that I am (wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, VP of a ministry, and teacher....) leaves me little or no room for blogging about it. Suffice it to say, I'm still wearing lots of blessed "hats" these days and I love them all! I am one ridiculously busy and richly blessed woman!

Another Month Almost Gone

I can't believe I haven't posted since early November. I would say, "Where has the month gone", but I know... It's been spent homeschooling, traveling quite a bit, managing an office and home, and planning, preparing and enjoying Thanksgiving. Throw a few sick days in there and that's where the last few weeks have been spent for me.

Our Thanksgiving was lovely, except I got really sick Thursday night and was up most of the night. No, it wasn't my cooking cause no one else got sick. HA! Still not sure what it was, but after a long night and then being VERY frail and shaky yesterday, I'm doing much better today. I've enjoyed the day at home, listening to the kids play and accomplishing some Christmas shopping from the comforts of home. : )

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I love, love, love this time of year. We have a lot planned for December, so I'll post again when I can!

Winter or Fall?

I was sure it was November 5th and we were in the Fall season, but to step outside, you would think we were days away from Christmas. It is FREEZING here. Just a week ago we were still wearing shorts and sweating outside. We've had a handful of blustery fall days and now I guess we're skipping right into Winter weather.

It was even too cold for the boys to play outside today. When the boys turn down football in the front yard because THEY say it's too cold, you know it's cold! So, I hope I get to light a fire in the fireplace and enjoy some snuggle time tonight! : )

November.... Really?

Where has this year gone? It seems to have flown by so far! I cannot believe we are already in November and I'm thinking about cooking for Thanksgiving, putting up my Christmas decorations, and, yes, even Christmas shopping. It seems like we just started school. It just doesn't even seem like it's been a year since last November (unless I think about all we've done this year... ha!)

I LOVE this time of year! I love the changes in the weather, where it's cooler and the leaves are so colorful, but it's not too cold yet. I love the changes in our weekly menu items (to the warmer soups and "comfort foods"), and I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting ready for Christmas! The sooner I can put up my decorations, the happier I am! : )

So, I can't believe it's already November, but I'm certainly not complaining! I love this time of year! What about you?
